POETRY CAFE THE GRACEFUL WOMAN She is the queen of her own life She solves her dangerous strife She is as soft as a feather Who helps us face the quagmire together? She sacrifices her desires and dream She makes her loved ones gleam She is the cushion of our sorrow, Who predicts the morrow? She acts like sun and moon of universe, We dedicate to her our smart verse Look around you Look around you And she is none other than you. - Pooja Sreenithi XB

THE REAL VICTORY “Long live the Mighty King, long live the ruler of the world.”The voice of the soldiers was heard throughout the kingdom. But it was because of trepidation and not because of reverence. There was a strong king named Shashwanth Raj who didn’t care much about his kinsman. He showed his valour but failed to show his love and affection. He thought that the strength was enough to lead the life and to rule the nation. Once he had to meet a guru who was famous for preaching. The Guru, who already knew about the king wanted to teach him a lesson. He showed the walls of his hut to the king and asked his opinion. He replied that they were strong. He then showed the windows of the hut to the man. They were made by bamboo and not so strong. He asked the king’s opinion. He said that they were weak and useless. Now guru closed the doors and windows. Everywhere darkness spread and they could see nothing.

The king was shocked. The guru now opened the windows. Now, they could see the bright sun, tall trees, pretty birds and pleasant breeze came in. Now, Guru said, “Though walls are strong, they are just bricks and mud. They separate you from others. Though, windows are weak, they connect you to the world, they allow the bright sunshine and new hope, the pleasant feel and breeze of life. The strong walls are needed to protect us from calamities but windows are needed to get pleasure from nature. My dear son, your power will help you to win the war but only your love and kindness will help you to win other’s heart.” The king understood the importance of people and their relationship. He ruled the country with his mighty power, love and compassion. He won lot of territories and won the heart of the people. -- --
