Before the typewriter was common, with business savvy and handsome handwriting, Fred Offenhauser and his partner founded our agency in 1882 in the railroad town and timber town of Texarkana. Eventually Offenhauser & Co. shared a building with the Texarkana Board of Trade, now known as the Texarkana Chamber of Commerce, and a local Boy Scout Troop 18, which we sponsored.
