Don't we all love that word? It's ~~ days where we can live our lives of staying out late, waking up even later, and having no care in the world. Also summer means family vacations, summer jobs, newexperiences, and new friendships that will last a lifetime. Summer for high school students oQunt.t! It's either their first summer beforeentering their high school experience, or it's a time where people let it slide by because they are caught in the middle, and last of all, it's a time for seniors to enjoy their last summer underneath the stars reentering the \"real world.\" Regardless of who we are, we'll always ~~m~mAe~ summer.

December was a time for celebration. So why not start it off with a BANG? During the first week of the month there were many different ways to showcase holiday spirit. There were candy-grams sold, a Madrigal performance, ugly sweater day, wear your favorite holiday hat day, and the nomination of royalty. The actual dance was held in the commons, which was a refreshing change from the gym, on Saturday, December 3rd. The winter dance was a less formal dance where dates shopped tor matching pajamas or fun Santa outfits. This dance was a time where friends came together to have a festive time celebrating the season. After the exciting dance party was finished, there were a variety of fun-filled activities. Many groups watched a holiday movie, held gingerbread house making contests, or made a Christmas treat. All in all, the winter dance t7J was a great opportunity to make new friends and create~o_ya/1§: memories students wi ll always remember. This year, Jordan had agoal to raise $10,000 to builda school in Mex1co. Jordan wanted to find a charity that helped witheducation and had a meaningful outcome. Ms. Earl, an art teacherand supervisor of the fundraiser said, \"People usually try to give tothe less fortunate during the holidays, however, we wanted to providea way for the less fortunate to pull themselves out of poverty...permanently.\" Escalera Foundation was the perfect solution. JordanHigh students worked with Brighton students to ra1se enough money. The leaders of Jordan came up with many entertaining and uniqueways to fundraise. There was a benefit concert, featuring DanceCompany, Chars, Madrigals, and more, that ra1sed $1,000. Jordanhosted a JOint stomp with Brighton that had an outcome of $1600.
