Farmer’s marketAmarmkientisfatarmnder’s Enjoy the fall harvest with a visit to Caroline’s miniature farmer’s market stand, complete with pumpkins. By Jan Stuart.Who doesn’t love a bright late summer or early autumn day, when the fields and trees have yielded the last of their summer produce, and when the weather is perfect for “gathering” at a local farmer’s market stand? For some of us, the autumn outing is a nostalgic retreat from a city life seemingly lived apart from nature. For others, it’s a brief immersion into the memory of more youthful days, when we first marveled at the beauty and variety of our land’s generos- ity, all displayed in a tumbling of color punctuated by big orange pumpkins just waiting to be hauled from the fields. Don’t we all have a favorite market stand we don’t mind driving ten miles to visit be- cause its setting is so quaint, peaceful, and welcoming?
