Estamos hartos de robar el tiempo a la gente para no decirles nada y en esto los políticos nos ganan por goleada. Trabajar el silencio es la clave para encontrar la respuesta en uno mismo. Los nipones predican con los gestos más que con las palabras y en España tenemos unos maravillosos refranes que nos animan a practicar el sano ejercicio del silencio: “Quien no habla no yerra”, “Asno callado por sabio es contado”, “Quien oye y calla consigo habla”… Ya lo decía Séneca : “No hay nada tan provechoso como estarse quieto y hablar lo menos posible con los demás y lo más posible con uno mismo”. También el budismo invita a valorar el silencio como El valor una forma de comunicación que desgraciadamente hemos perdido en Occidente. El silencio nos incomoda, y preferimos llenarlo de palabras vanas sin objetivo ni fn, porque, en del silencio el fondo, tenemos miedo de reencontrarnos a solas con nosotros mismos y con ciertos aspectos de nuestra forma de ser que no nos agradan. Entre los derechos fundamentales, el de la libertad de expresión ha ocupado un papel determinante dentro de las reivindicaciones sociales del pasado siglo. Y por la justa senda que ha labrado, también se han colado parlanchines que han arengado con sus mítines a la multitud enfebrecida. Y sus promesas luego han quedado en eso, puras promesas, que no se llevó el viento, pero sí el tiempo. En este nuevo siglo que comenzamos a transitar es de esperar que el derecho a expresarse libremente se convierta de forma defnitiva en una conquista humana reconocida constitucionalmente en todo el mundo. Obtenido esto, nuestra razón de ser, como humanos, es la evolución. En esta evolución, comenzamos a percibir el valor de otro tipo de comunicación que también debemos ejercer en libertad y con respeto a los demás. Una comunicación que no necesita de palabras ni letras. Una comunicación que quizá perdimos en el devenir cotidiano de nuestra historia y que nos exige del silencio para reencontrarla. En el planteamiento flosófco más arraigado en la cultura occidental donde nace una necesidad surge un derecho, y ahora comenzamos a tener necesidad de una reconstrucción sensorial. Y aunque nuestros cincos sentidos están un tanto oxidados por la falta de uso, hemos de esforzarnos para que todos ellos cooperen armoniosamente en la percepción del mundo que nos rodea y de nuestro propio yo. Tenemos que saber conectar con las emociones. Hay que vivir como se siente y no como se piensa. No se le puede negar a la vida lo que el corazón le pide. No se trata de analizar las decisiones importantes, sino sentirlas. Tenemos que recrearnos en las sensaciones, abrir nuestros pulmones, ojos, oídos, boca, tacto y corazón al amanecer del nuevo día, a la sonrisa de un niño, a la caricia de la persona amada y al pulso diario de nuestro trabajo. Les animo a que practiquen.
