Each year, a huge number of photos are submitted from amateur photographers as well as students who have experienced and captured the beauty of nature in these breath-taking images. The winning photographs are then published and displayed in various locations for a wider audience to enjoy and, most importantly, to promote the conservation of Thailand’s rich nature and wildlife heritage. 7

Generally the Guitarfish bury themselves in the seafloor. Therefore, it is very fortunate to find them at the right place at the right time.’ 11

The cliff itself is part of a fracture parallel to Petchabun fault line 500 meters above the below plain. It has a unique crescent shape with Nagarat Tat Mok waterfall falling through it.’ 12

Adult males always start off their adult year with a new status as a wanderer, as they wander around to search for their own territories, which can take years. Then, after finding and marking the territories as their own, they become the king of their own land. Yet only a few of them can become the true king of the jungle of Thailand.’ 14

The upperparts are glossy blue-black with bluish and greenish iridescence, while the lowerparts are all white with black wings. The male has a large black knob on the bill, and gets larger during the mating season. The female is smaller and has no knob. Its habitats are freshwater swamps and lakes.
