VGN CHINMAYA VIDYALAYA, AVADI – TERM II CVP REPORT – 2019-20 STD: VI-VIII SUBJECT:Ahimsa(Peace) Rally EXTRA-CURRICULAR TOPIC: DATE: 05.11. 2019 CVP VALUE: OBJECTIVE: Ahimsa(Peace) Rally for 150th birth celebration of Mahatma ACTIVITY: Gandhiji UNIVERSAL OUT LOOK – World peace, Unity, Service Mind, Helping Others. Children from 6th to 8thstd went for rally with banners, plug cards about world peace & Ahimsa. An Ahimsa (Peace) Rally was undertaken by the Karuna club of our vidyalaya , (Students of 6th ,7th and 8thstd ) stretching through sekkadu main road, Avadi, on 5.11.’19 to emphasise the importance of peace. The main theme of World Peace day is: “Right to People to Peace”.This day recognizes the problem that, peace is vital for the full enjoyment of all human rights. Non – violence is the great force which has to be at the disposal of mankind. It is the mightiest weapon devised by ingenuity of man; it cuts without wounding and ennobles the man who wields it. We must realize that good or evil are the traits of human soul and even after death, there is accountability in any form of revenge in violence and it is bound to bring sorrow for us. We should know that wars are not the curse of god, but result of our own actions. Our country needs only peace, tolerance and prosperity. The only way to bring back peace is to empower ourselves spiritually and remove all negative qualities from minds. So Gandhiji spread non- violence through movements and writings. This day is devoted to those people who have done their best effort to bring peace in our nation. LEARNING As a Future Citizens of India , Children learned the values of Unity, OUTCOME: Service Mind, World peace, Helping Others, Ahimsa
