Remember Naming words are the names given to people, places, animals and things around us. Naming words are also called nouns. ‡  7 KHcommon naming words that you have learnt about are called common nouns. Common nouns are the common names given to people, places, animals or things in general. They do not begin with a capital letter. Examples: girl, city, dog, cup, month, day ‡  7 KHspecial naming words that you have learnt about are called proper nouns. Proper nouns name a particular person, place, animal or thing. The sentences above are missing an important punctuation mark. This punctuation mark is called the comma. Now, let us learn about the comma. comma I am used to separate three or more words in a list.
