Review What did you learn? Tick. An idiom is a group of words put together to mean a different thing from the actual meanings of the individual words used. When direct speech is changed to indirect speech, the tense of the verb usually changes. When direct speech is changed to indirect speech, the tense of the verb remains the same if the statement is always true. When the reporting verb is in the present tense, the tense of the verb does not change in indirect speech. We double the final t of some verbs of more than one syllable when adding -ing, -ed or -en. Project Work A myth is an ancient story where the main characters are gods or humans with super powers. Myths tell us about the values and beliefs of a particular group of people. Get into groups of five. Choose any myth and act it out in the classroom.
