This is because one-third of its 13,000 recipients are \"outsiders\", and there- fore, would have less interest in such news. In March 1988, NadaPETRONAS saw the birth of its sister publication Senada a bi-lingual monthly tailored specially for staff. Kita juga sedang giat mengkaji berbagai- bagai syor untuk menubulkin sebuah kompleks ethylana/ polyethylana yang setar/ding dengan taraf antarabangsa. Untuk 18 memainkan peranan ini dengan berkesan, ia tidak mempunyai pilihan kecuali menghadapi persaingan. Dalam masa yang begihr singkat sejak penubuhannya, PDSB telah mencatat kejayaan yang membanggakan. Harapan saya ialah agar anak syarikat ini tenrs berusaha mencapai kejayaan dan bersaing dengan lainlain st/ariha minyak dengan menawarkan mutu hasil barangan dan perkhidmatan yang tinggi. Pameran ,Ys#{fi,;, Pesta '11: Pantai Terengganu If,)efnONnS sekali lagi menyertai Yang DiPertuan Muda pameran sempena Pesta Pantai Terengganu memotong Terengganu yang diadakan di Pantai Batu tali belon untuk Burok, Kuala Terengganu sempena Minggu merasmikan Pesta Pantai Pelancongan dan Kebudayaan Terengganu. Terengganu Pameran seminggu dan22 hingga 29 Julai itu disertai oleh beberapa buah jabatan dan agensi kerajaan dan syarikat swasta. Yang DiPertuan Muda Terengganu telah merasmikan pameran itu dengan memotong tali belon MACH 5 sumbangan PETRONAS di tengah-tengah padang kawasan pameran. Gerai pameran PETRONAS telah menunjukkan pelbagai kegiatan perbadanan ini di dalam industri petroleum, khususnya di negeri Terengganu, dan sumbangannya terhadap pembangunan negara. Pakaian Sukan Sumhangan PETRONAS Kontinjen Kementeian Kerajaan Tempatan dan Perumahan Sabah segak dengan pakaian sukan pefnONns telah menyumbang pakaian sumbangan PETRONAS I sukan kepada Kontinjen Kementerian Kerajaan Tempatan dan Perumahan Negeri Sabah yang menyertai Kejohanan Olahraga Kementerian Kerajaan Tempatan di Stadium Bandar Tun Razak, Cheras, Kuala Lumpur Julai lalu. It was therefore decided that we should examine the need for R & D and a task force was set up in 1986 to look into the matter. Last year, we launched the PRI. Nada Now that the PRI has been established, what do you see as its immediate task and future role? Tan Sri Azizan The first task of the PRI will be the inculcation and fostering of R & D culture in the institute. The development of the staff who would be able to fulfill the functions of the PRI will be its other main task. The PRI has also to develop iinkages with other research organisations locally and abroad to keep itself informed of the research that have been and are being carried out elsewhere. We don't want to invent the wheel. These linkages would also provide the opportunity for collaboratron. The activities of PRI will pnmanly be directed at supponing the development of PETRONAS busrness and the Malaysian petroleum industry. Kita juga telah mengadakan beberapa bengkel Pengurus Besar tahun lalu dan juga tahun ini untuk menggalakkan interaksi antara bahagian dan antara sektor. Bengkel antara loji merupakan satu lagi kaedah yang telah digunakan untuk tujuan ini. Kesemua ini akan dijadikan ciri-ciri tetap dalam sistem pengurusan kita. Untuk menanamkan semangat perpaduan yang lebih kukuh dalam Perbadanan ini, kegiatan-kegiatan dalam bidang kerja dan sosial antara unit-unit operasi dan antara sektor adalah digalakkan. Saya telah berusaha untuk memecahkan benteng-benteng dan menyeru setiap kakitangan PETRONAS untuk sentiasa memikirkan tentang Kumpulan dan menghayati semangat kekeluargaan. Oleh kerana inilah kita menggunakan satu logo yang sama bagi Kumpulan dan bagi kesemua anak syarikat milik penuh PETRONAS. Dari semasa ke semasa, kita akan melaksanakan lain-lain perubahan yang perlu untuk mewujudkan safu budaya yang boleh mendukung corak pengurusan yang telah saya sebutkan itu. Sambil kita memperolehi pengalaman, kepakaran dan keyakinan, kita menjangkakan PETRONAS, sama seperti lain-lain urusan pemiagaan, untuk meninjau peluang untuk berkembang. Peluang memang banyak. Kita perlu memilih dengan teliti dan menimbangkan beberapa faktor, termasuk rintangan dan had kebolehan kita sendiri. Kita perlu jelas tentang misi kita agar tidak terumbang-ambing. Kerana inilah kita telah merumuskan tujuan asas yang menjelaskan kedudukan, peranan dan objektif kita. Kita telah mempersetujui bahawa \"Kita ialah sebuah badan pemiagaan; petroleum adalah teras urusan pemiagaan kita; tanggungjawab utama kita ialah membangun dan menambah nilai kepada warisan nasional ini; objektif utama kita ialah untuk menyumbangkan kepada kemakmuran rakyat dan negara. Dengan itu telah diputuskan bahawa kita perlu meninjau kepentingan penyelidikan dan pembangunan, dan sebuah pasukan petugas telah ditubuhkan dalam tahun 1986 untuktujuan itu. Some 70 technical personnel from Tuan Haji Ali speaking at the opening of the workshop PETRONAS' operating units and Participanb of the second Interplant Workshop at Bintulu joint-venture companies attended the two-day session. The workshop was organised by the Engineering and Safep Unit of PETRONAS. Seventeen papers were presented at the workshop which was divided into five sessions namely, operations, maintenance, inspection, corrosion protection, rotating equipment and safety.
