LOT 177 50C 1806 POINTED 6, STEM. PCGS MS64 A gorgeously toned, Condition Census O-119. A bold mint luster shines in the light and brings forth a stunning look imparted by the rich blue, teal, lavender, and violet toning. Generally well struck, better than usually seen on an example of this die marriage, which often shows very flat definition on Liberty’s tresses and on the left wing of the eagle. The eye appeal is dramatic and unforgettable! PCGS 9, NGC 7. The most recent examples sold cheaply earlier this year, one in each of the 2017 ANA auctions. Prior to those (which we think were actually buy backs), the most recent PCGS MS64 to sell in auction was this coin sold in ANR’s July 2004 auction! That coin, the Eliasberg-Swan O-115, brought $25,300. An O-119 in PCGS MS64 sold in March 2004 realizing $24,150. More recently the Col.Green-Eric Newman coin, graded NGC MS64 CAC sold for$35,250 and another NGC coin sold for $36,719. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $29,500. This coin issolidly in the condition census for the variety and sure to bring serious bidding attention from serious early type collectors. PCGS# 6071 | EST: $27,500+LEGENDAUCTIONS.COM 99

LOT 178 50C 1807 DRAPED BUST. O-110A. PCGS MS64 CAC WOW, what a coin! We’ve seen a few of the MS65’s, and can promise you this coins quality is not too far away. Even if you are a super picky buyer, this coin will more than impress you! Plus, this coin oozes with originality. We fully call this coin an original GEM Half--and even if you are extremely selective, we think you will too! Impeccable surfaces are super satiny and are smooth. We examined this beast with a strong glass and found not even tiny scratches or imperfections. A surprisingly strong luster enlivens the surfaces and the toning. Totally original shades of deeper golden brown/pale blue adorn both sides. The toning is not blotchy or mottled. Miss Liberty and the details are boldly struck and do stand out. The eye appeal is like the quality-phenomenal! PCGS 16, NGC 16, CAC 8. The last PCGS CAC piece to sell in auction brought $28,750 back in January 2012 (that’s eons ago)! We assure you, GEM Bust Halves like this have NOT gone down in value. In fact, do not let the pops fool you-these are impossible to find. Earlier this year we chased the PCGS MS65+ CAC up to $141,000.00 and did not buy it. The last regular PCGS MS65 to sell in auction-was back in 2005. We can NOT stress enough what a tremendous opportunity this coin represents to all Bust Half Collectors or even Type Collectors. PCGS# 6079 | EST: $35,000+100

LOT 179 50C 1808/7 PCGS XF45 CAC LOT 180 O-101. Light silver blends with soft slate toning in the fields. Sharply struck, this coin, if raw, would likely be sold as AU, the 50C 1811/10 PUNCTUATED DATE. PCGS AU58 CACquality is that strong. Indeed, we have seen AUs that do not have One of the many popular, naked eye varieties of the Capped Bust series, the both the O-101 and O-102 have both the interesting the looks that this coin has. die dot between 18 and 11 and the 1 punched over the 0 (this PCGS 42, NGC 31, CAC 12. This NGC/CAC Eric Newman coin that sold for $1,090 and a O-101 is identified by the double segment above the second S PCGS/CAC coin sold for $996 in January 2017. Good luck! in STATES. Sharply struck devices are accented by a wonderful dove overtone that is enlivened by an underlying satin luster. PCGS# 6091 | EST: $900+ Only the slightest hint of friction on the surfaces keep this GEM AU from a Mint State designation, indeed we have certainly seen coins called Uncirculated that do not have the overall eye appeal of this lightly toned AU58. PCGS 20, NGC 16, CAC 8. In the 2017 ANA auction an example sold for $5,405 and the one before that sold for $7,050 in November 2016. The current Collector’s Universe value is listed at $6,250 and keep in mind that these are quite hard to find any finer. A great coin for any early half dollar specialist! LOT 181 50C 1812 PCGS MS65+ CAC Clearly a Condition Census O-103! VERY HIGH END and really good looking! It is also the SOLE MS65+ graded. Outstanding surfaces are immaculate beyond belief. Even if you used a strong glass and looked really hard, all you would find are some light frost breaks. The surfaces are also satiny smooth. An unusually strong radiant luster beams from all over. There is a thin band of reddish gold/blue outlining parts of the rims. The centers are a gorgeous frosty white. Miss Liberty and every detail are frosty, sharply struck, and really standout. The eye appeal is nothing less then amazing! PCGS 13, NGC 16, CAC 3. This is the ONLY MS65+ graded. The most recent CAC-approved coin was the NGC-graded Newman MS65 that sold for a whopping $44,063! The last PCGS CAC piece to sell in auction brought $14,376.00 in August 2011-really forever ago! Its been 6+ years since one sold-let alone an 1812 as fresh and sexy looking as this. Every time we look at this coin we marvel how it has survived 205 years in such and incredible state of preservation. We assure you, you will NOT find another 1812 looking anywhere near as neat as this-at least we have never seen one! PCGS# 6100 | EST: $14,000+102

LOT 183 50C 1817 PUNCTUATED DATE. PCGS AU50 O-103. A very nice example of this popular variety that presents very well. The surfaces show only light wear, and the marks commensurate with said circulation. Richly toned toward the peripheries, lighter at the centers. The dot that makes the date look as 181.7 is bold and this variety is very popular as this marriage shares the same reverse as the ultra rare 1817/4. PCGS 13, NGC 4. The last AU50 graded by PCGS to sell in auction was in the 2011 FUN auction, realizing $2,300. There are so many collectors working on “Red Book” sets today that more recently a PCGS XF45 CAC sold for $1,998 in September 2016. The AU50 Collector’s Universe value is listed at $2,500. A great collector grade coin that will see very active bidding when it crosses the block! PCGS# 6110 | EST: $2,200+LOT 182 50C 1815/2 PCGS XF45 LOT 184 Light wear on the high points, this coin possesses a great eye appeal for the grade. This is the KEY date to the series, always in look. Bound for a great “GEM” AU set of Bust halves and we demand from collectors! expect strong bidding for this beauty. LOT 186 50C 1835 PCGS MS62 CAC O-101. A very attractively toned Capped Bust half dollar. Fully Mint State, if it were not for a few tiny scattered marks, this coin may have graded even higher. A frosty mint bloom brings the high quality strike and the bold coloration together, wrapping this into an original, eye appealing package. PCGS 74, NGC 58, CAC 15. The last one to sell realized $1,650 in an August 2017 auction sale. The current PCGS price is $1,400. Worthy of a type set or date run of Capped Bust halves. LOT 188 105 50C 1836 REEDED EDGE. PCGS MS64 CACBefore the days of 3rd party certification, a coin like this easilywould be called a GEM BU 65. We think it should be today as well. PCGS obviously sees something we don’t. This is by farthe prettiest 1836 Reeded Edge we have ever seen! We do rankit as one of the greatest coins Legend Rare Coin Auctions has had the pleasure of handling! The surfaces are incredibly clean and smooth. Of course we went over both sides carefully with a strong glass-and foundnothing of any significance. There are traces of semi-prooflike mirrors. A strong luster vividly illuminates a sensational and totally original mix of vibrant olive/rose/gold/blue colors that are evenly spread all over. There are NO spots ordiscolorations. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck and do have light frost. The eye appeal is more then just jaw dropping! From an original mintage of only 1,200. PCGS 6, NGC 4, CAC 3 (we think this coin is 2X). PCGS has graded only 2 coins higher. NO PCGS/CAC MS64 has ever sold in an auction. The printed estimates of value are all wrong-NONE have ever traded. If this GEM was to sell in the $65,000 to $75,000 range, it not be overvalued (in our opinion). NOTE: an NGC CAC piece (not this coin) sold for $52,875 in the November 2013 sale of the Newman Collection. Not only is this coin a “must buy” for any Bust Half set, its a “must buy” for any GEM Type Collection as well. We assure you, the outstanding quality and eye appeal this coin offers is unrivaled for an 1836 Reeded Edge Half ! PCGS# 6175 | EST: $60,000+ LEGENDAUCTIONS.COM

LOT 190 50C 1875 PCGS MS64 CAC Very choice and original, this Seated half has a nice pearly-satin luster that comes out nicely under a dusting of iridescent toning. Displaying a typical strike, with some minor weakness in areas, the overall look is quite good. Clearly a coin that sat unmolested in an old envelope for a good long while. LOT 189 PCGS 57, NGC 55, CAC 7. The most recent PCGS/CAC example sold in March 2017 for $1,528 and the current PCGS 50C 1838 REEDED EDGE. PCGS MS64 CAC value is $1,400. With its pleasing, original look, we think this An exceptional PQ and high end 1838 half dollar! We looked this near miss GEM over really hard. This near-GEM sold for $6,300 the last time it appeared in auction, a testament to the high end quality. Keep in mind that a 65 would cost somewhere in the $15,000 range if you could even find one! LOT 191 107 50C 1860 NGC PR67 CAMA superlative and glorious GEM that ranks among the FINEST certified examples. This is a no questions asked SUPERB coin with deep mirrors that beam from all angles. Very smooth fields have the feel of a freshly polished sheet of ice, the reflectivity is unmarred by any serious marks or lines. The dies were highly polished before striking, which account for the numerous microscopic lines in the fields, as well as some tiny lint marks. Adusting of clear amber-gold graces the obverse, deepening toward the rim. The reverse takes that amber patina, and adds a band ofdeep blue and moderate violet hues, really framing that side witha wonderfully toned look. The sharply impressed devices are frosty and set against the depth of the reflective mirrored fields, the contrast is excellent. Only 1,000 were minted. PCGS 2, NGC 4. None are finer at NGC within the CAMEO designation, and only a single PCGS PR67+ CAM is finer in the designation. The most recent example to sell was in the FUN 2013 auction, where a different example sold for $23,500. Since then, aCAC-approved, non-CAMEO NGC PR67 sold for $29,375. This lovely coin will be well suited for any set of SUPERB Proof type or a specialized collection of Proof Seated Liberty halves. Good luck! PCGS# 86414 | EST: $22,000+ LEGENDAUCTIONS.COM

LOT 196 50C 1921 PCGS MS65 A true GEM example of this important KEY Walking Liberty half dollar issue. A bold and swirling mint luster graces both sides accentuating the impressively struck devices. Ms. Liberty is fully struck up, a powerful blow from the dies bringing out all the tiny details in the the design. A blush of clear gold can be seen in areas toward the rims on the obverse. Close examination does reveal a few tiny ticks, but nothing that distracts from the GEM eye appeal displayed on both sides. After the First World War, the US economy went into a very serious recession, and coins dated 1921 in general are considered scarce to rare in their respective series (except Morgan dollars). The Philadelphia produced 246,000 halves this year, the vast majority of which quickly entered into circulation. The typical survivor is well worn, and GEMS like this are truly very rare. PCGS 52, NGC 33. The most recent PCGS MS65 to sell in auction was CAC, selling for $30,550 in our July 2017 Regency Auction. The current PCGS value is listed at $22,500 and we really think this Old Green Tag holdered coin is above average in terms of quality and eye appeal. LOT 209 $1 1852 ORIGINAL. PCGS PR65 CACLegend Rare Coin Auctions is proud to offer the FINEST certified 1852 Proof dollar, Original or Restrike. Everything about this coin is incredible: quality, eye appeal, and rarity! A real trophy for any advanced collector! The technical qualities are SUPERB! Starting with the mirrors, which are fully and deeply reflective with a stunning watery appearance beam from all over with seductive clarity. The fields are ultra-clean, the only disturbances that can be found are mint made lint marks from the polishing of the dies. Rich, totally original toning imparts a fantastic eye appeal. Deep blue hues dominate the obverse, ranging from a pale icy hue to teal to cobalt. The reverse features a beautiful and classic look, with sultry amber-gold in the centers, yielding to aqua-blue at the rims. The strike is full and complete, even in the centers which can sometimes come soft. One look at this GEM and you can see why we have had trouble putting it down! There is very little documentary evidence as to how many original Proofs were coined in 1852. PCGS CoinFacts estimates amintage of THREE. There is a lot of confusion regarding the designations, however the CoinFacts census includes this coin at thetop, followed by the Col. Brock -- J.P. Morgan Collection coin that was donated to the American Numismatic Society in 1908 andthe Mickley-Windsor (?) coin (both were parts of complete 1852 proof sets). Confusing the matter more is that Breen and Bowers have identified as many as six DIFFERENT reverse dies that were used to strike Proof 1852 dollars, Originals and Restrikes. Further research is certainly needed to sort this mess out. We know that based on the new reference by Dick Osburn and Brian Cushing that this die marriage, OC-P1 is the “correct” die pair for Original Strikes. PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1. If you are working on a cabinet of rarities, or need a Proof 1852 for your Proof dollar set, this is a coin for you. Since it is likely UNIQUE in private hands, you can pretty much toss out the price guides and auction records. One ofthe rarest silver dollar issues and a coin that really is undervalued due to its confusing nature. As more information regarding theseenigmatic Original and Restike proofs comes out in the research done by Osburn and Cushing and a new magnum opus on Proofs that will be published in the coming years, our understanding of the rarity and importance of this coin will be better, increasing demand. Some minor, mint made planchet flakes are noted, as are a few microscopic lint marks. A couple of teeny ticks on Liberty’s portrait are noted for full disclosure, but really do not detract from the superb overall eye appeal. The mint records show that 154 Proof gold dollars were struck in 1860, although it is believed that many were not distributedat the time of mintage. PCGS CoinFacts estimate that a total of37 examples survive today in all grades and designations with 11in 65 or finer grades. Jeff Garrett and Ron Guth observed whenthey penned their Encyclopedia of U.S. Gold Coins, that a very similar number of 1859 Proof gold dollars (mintage 80) sold in the period of time as the 1860, suggesting similar numbers of survivors. This is a very cool date for collectors to think about including in a Proof Gold Type Set; consider that all the mintages of gold dollars prior were unrecorded until 1859 and no doubt well under 50. During the Civil War, mintages again dropped to double digits and did not recover until the 1880s.This date is not one of the lower mintage rarities, nor is it one of the ultra common late dates.
