CITHNE OTENLSLEECCAMTEIOON We named this set because of what the coins really are-intensely cameo! In our entire careers Legend Auctions and Legend Numismatics does not ever remember seeing a group like this where every coin had ultra deep and no haze mirrors. While not a complete collection, the coins as a group are so remarkable, you feel it is a complete set. The collector who built this forever has loved clear cameo coins. His passion was deeper than the mirrors! He has not stopped collecting at all. He is moving on a new phase. We can only imagine what kind of coins he will demand now! We congratulate the Intense collector and wish him well in his new endevors. It is our very strong opinion the coins in this collection can NOT be replicated. The demand for pieces like these is off the charts. Expect serious world record prices to be set! With a heavy heart, Legend Auctions will miss these killer pieces. We looked at them every day! 150

LOT 281 3CS 1872 PCGS PR66+ DCAM CAC FROM THE INTENSE CAMEO COLLECTION Our sister company Legend Numismatics has seen just about every high-grade CAM/DCAM 3CS in a holder. This coin stands out by a mile! If you were up on the Space Station, you could see its reflection! Unbelievably deep mirrors. They are crystal clear, super clean (there is a teeny line/lint mark mentioned for accuracy) and have the most intense reflection you will EVER see! There is NO toning anywhere. Every detail is needle sharp in strike and is covered in thick snowy white frost. The eye appeal is crazy awesome, your eye balls will jump out of their sockets and roll around! This is the FINEST 1872 graded Deep Cameo. PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1. The current Collectors Universe Value for a PR66+ DC is $19,500, which we know is way too low. Opportunity knocks loud here as you’re certainly not going to see another one! PCGS# 93723 | ESTIMATE: $17,000+ 151

LOT 282 3CS 1873 PCGS PR66 DCAM CAC FROM THE INTENSE CAMEO COLLECTION Yet another stunning piece from the Intense Cameo Collection! It borders on PR66+ and Deep Cameo status for sure! This is the second finest DCAM graded. Outrageous mirrors are super deep and beam boldly from all over. The mirrors have unusual clarity and are clean. For identification purposes we must make note of a small old cut (not so sure it isn’t a lint mark) hidden in the lower right obverse field. It absolutely does NOT detract. When you twirl the coin, you are nearly blinded by the super intense mirrors. Every detail is needle sharp and is covered by iridescent white frost. The eye appeal is both intense and jaw dropping! ONLY 600 were minted for this Proof only date. PCGS 1, NGC 2, CAC 1. There is no record of this coin ever selling in auction. The Collectors Universe Value is a mere $9,000 which we think is a joke. There is a PR67 DC graded, and we value that coin at $25,000+. We cannot stress both the extreme rarity and quality of this GEM! PCGS# 93724 | ESTIMATE: $12,500+ 152

LOT 283 5C 1910 PCGS PR67+ DCAM CAC FROM THE INTENSE CAMEO COLLECTION What a coin! Even though there are two with a single one finer, it’s really hard to imagine that. Intense mirrors beam boldly from all over. The mirrors have tremendous clarity and cleanliness. When you twirl the coin, the mirrors have a strong glassy look. A light mix of totally original pale reddish gold/pale lilac swirls all over. The contrast is clear and really bold. Miss Liberty and the details are needle sharp in strike and really look like they were carved from a fresh frosted block of ice. The eye appeal is gorgeous! PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 3 (obviously there has been a resubmission). Way back in 2012 the PR67 DC sold for $14,100. Today, the current Collector’s Universe is $19,500 for this 67+. Considering the PR68 DCAM sold for a crazy $84,000, obviously we strongly feel the CU for this 67+ is too cheap. NOTE: A Legend customer just bought the above mentioned PR68 DCAM for full ticket! It’s a different air when you’re dealing with the two finest coins. We expect strong bidding here. Good luck! PCGS# 93908 | ESTIMATE: $20,000+ 153

LOT 284 20C 1875 PCGS PR66 CAM CAC FROM THE INTENSE CAMEO COLLECTION Note this is an extremely cool and rare coin. It is also in a remarkable HIGH-END state of preservation! Exceptional mirrors not only blaze from all over, but have real depth too; typically, 1875’s come with shallow mirrors (this piece really is exceptional). The mirrors also are clean and have great clarity (and NO haze). When you twirl the coin, the mirrors have that rolling “watery” look. There is a light tinge of gold toning splashed around. The coin still has a mighty black and white contrast. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck and have thick creamy white frost. The eye appeal is sensational! After 30+ years of operations for PCGS, look at these pops: PCGS 4, NGC 8, CAC 3 (none are beaned higher). There are NO auction records for ANY 1875 PCGS PR66 pieces. The last NGC piece to sell at auction was back in 2010. Because none have traded, the current Collectors Universe of value of $27,500 is GROSSLY out dated. You can offer to pay $50,000 and never see another cameo example. This piece really will be a standout in ANY collection. We expect strong to record bidding here-good luck! PCGS# 85303 | ESTIMATE: $27,500+ 154

LOT 285 25C 1885 PCGS PR67+ DCAM CAC FROM THE INTENSE CAMEO COLLECTION WOW, what a coin! We’d bet NASA could use this coin to guide the Space Shuttle. This coin is tied for finest and more than deserves it. Nearly blinding deep mirrors boom from all over. The mirrors are super clean and exceedingly clear. You do not even have to twirl this coin to see its GEM watery mirrors roll around. The contrast is powerful and then some. Both sides are untoned. Miss Liberty and the details are needle sharp in strike and are fully struck. The eye appeal is tremendous! Only 930 were minted. PCGS 1, NGC 3, CAC 3. Way back in 2013 a PCGS PR67+ DCAM was auctioned for $17,625. NONE have been seen since. If you collect MONSTER PROOF Seated coins, Quarters, or just wicked cool coins, this piece has it all for you! Opportunity knocks loud here. PCGS# 95586 | ESTIMATE: $16,000+ 155

LOT 286 25C 1888 PCGS PR67 DCAM CAC FROM THE INTENSE CAMEO COLLECTION At the request of the consignor we did send this SUPER HIGH-END piece in for a “+”. We are not sure what PCGS was thinking here; this is a MEGA MONSTER coin! Superior ultra-deep and exceedingly flashy mirrors nearly blind you as they beam intensely from all over. They are pretty much perfect and have tremendous clarity. When you twirl this coin, the mirrors have that deep “watery” look. The contrast is incredible as this is a pure black and white coin (NO haze). Miss Liberty and the details are so vivid they look 3D. All of the details are fully struck and stand out with a bold white frost. Your eyes will pop out and roll around like ours did when we first saw this incredible coin! Only 832 pieces were minted. PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1. Not only is this coin an absolute jaw dropping monster, it is the FINEST graded 1888 25C! Get this, the last auction record was for $20,700 way back in 2008 - 11 years ago is a lifetime! We can’t even dream what this coin is really worth. Expect strong bidding here as this is your only chance to buy a 67 DCAM (and there are NO 66 DCAM’s graded by either service)! Good luck! PCGS# 95589 | ESTIMATE: $27,500+ 156

LOT 287 25C 1897 PCGS PR67+ DCAM CAC FROM THE INTENSE CAMEO COLLECTION Yet another MONSTER piece from the Intense Cameo Collection. We see one PR68+ DCAM exists, but it’s impossible to imagine. In our minds, this coin should not even exist! No question this coin is SUPER HIGH-END. The mirrors are so deep, they probably start on the other side of the world. The clarity and cleanliness are remarkable. When you twirl this coin, you see outrageous icy “black” mirrors. Using a strong glass, we see one extremely microscopic line on the neck-which is all that keeps this coin from a PR68 DC grade. No question they were tough here. The contrast is incredible. Miss Liberty and the details are needle sharp in strike and are covered by wild thick iridescent white frost. The eye appeal is as stunning as you get! Only 846 were minted. PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 4 (definitely regrades). The last time a PCGS PR67+ DCAM sold in auction was back in 2014 where it realized $12,338. Today the Collectors Universe value is a more realistic $16,000. We rarely, if ever, see incredible cameo coins any more. This is a killer coin to add to any SUPERB GEM set! PCGS# 95683 | ESTIMATE: $14,000+ 157

LOT 288 25C 1898 PCGS PR68 DCAM CAC FROM THE INTENSE CAMEO COLLECTION. Ex Bruce Scher Collection, as noted on the PCGS insert. The collector who built this set sure knows how to pick killer coins. This coin definitely ranks in the top 1% of DCAM coins graded (not just for 1898)! Some of the deepest mirrors you will ever see beam intensely from all over. The clarity and cleanliness are amazing. When you twirl this coin, you are mesmerized by the black and glassy rolling mirrors. The contrast is made even more out of this world by a thin band of gold by the rims. Miss Liberty and the details just jump out 3D looking because they are so needle sharp and have MONSTER frost. The eye appeal is heart pounding for sure! Just 735 were minted. PCGS 8, NGC 13, CAC 14. It’s amazing that so many of this date survived in such remarkable condition. The last PCGS CAC piece to sell in auction brought $21,150 in May 2018. Here is an interesting fact: prior to the coin that auctioned in 2018, the last auction was back in 2013 where one brought $23,500. Because of their stunning looks, these always attract serious buyers. We wish everyone good luck on this coin! PCGS# 95684 | ESTIMATE: $18,000+ 158

LOT 289 25C 1911 PCGS PR68 DCAM CAC FROM THE INTENSE CAMEO COLLECTION This mega MONSTER has some serious ju ju! It’s impossible not to love it. We see no reason why PCGS did not + it (we make no promises). Exceedingly deep mirrors blast away from all over. The mirrors also show extreme clarity and cleanliness. When you twirl the coin, the dramatic intense flash nearly blinds you from seeing the watery rolling mirrors. There is no toning and the contrast is stunning. Miss Liberty and the details are pinpoint sharp in strike and are fully struck. The eye appeal is gonzo incredible! ONLY 543 minted. There are NO records for any PCGS CAC PR68 DCAM ever selling in auction. A PR67+ DCAM CAC sold for $16,100 way back in 2011. The current Collectors Universe Value is $18,500. We see this date far more in regular cameo in PR67+ and 68. This piece certainly will be a prize for any SUPERB GEM Quarter or Type set. We expect really strong bidding here-be ready and good luck! PCGS# 95697 | ESTIMATE: $18,000+ 159

LOT 290 50C 1887 PCGS PR66+ DCAM CAC FROM THE INTENSE CAMEO COLLECTION You would think with a 710 mintage, more Deep Cameo Proofs would have survived. NOT! Apparently, this coin is above the majority that have been minted. The quality is VERY high end too! Super deep mirrors beam intensely from all over. The mirrors are also crystal clear, super clean, and of course offer an intense reflection. There are more lines on the holder than the coin! If you twirl this GEM, the mirrors roll like liquid mercury. The contrast is bold. There is NO toning. Miss Liberty and every detail look sculpted and stand out in strike. The eye appeal is tremendous! ONLY 710 were minted. PCGS 2, NGC 0, CAC 2. PCGS claims to have graded 2 in PR66+ (there are NO PR66’s). There are none graded higher. NONE of the price guides are correct for these uber rare pieces. Note: the PR66+ CAC sold for $21,150 in 2013. Opportunity knocks loud for the picky collector who LOVES ultra-black and white cameo GEM’s! PCGS# 96448 | ESTIMATE: $18,000+ 160

LOT 291 50C 1893 PCGS PR67+ DCAM CAC FROM THE INTENSE CAMEO COLLECTION These bigger coins just look so awesome when they are fully cameo. We consider this coin to be VERY HIGH-END! Outrageous mirrors offer a headlight type blast from all over. The mirrors are also pristine and have strong clarity. We see one tiny obverse Mint made issue that is probably what keeps this coin from a full PR68 DC. When you twirl this coin, the mirrors look like a freshly made sheet of glass. The contrast is dynamic. Miss Liberty and the details are needle sharp in strike and appear almost 3D with thick creamy white frost. The eye appeal is both sensational and memorable! Only 792 were minted. PCGS 4, NGC 0, CAC 2. PCGS has graded possibly 3 in PR67+ DCAM. There are NO auction records for ANY PR67+ DC ever selling. The last regular PR67 (no +, no CAC) sold back in 2011 for $14,000. We think this makes a tremendous statement about its rarity. When you see it, you will just melt into the mirrors! We expect this coin to enjoy strong bidding. Be ready! PCGS# 96540 | ESTIMATE: $18,000+ 161

LOT 292 $1 1871 PCGS PR66 DCAM CAC FROM THE INTENSE CAMEO COLLECTION This is a wild and crazy SUPERB GEM! We consider the coin to be VERY HIGH END! High voltage ultra-deep mirrors explode from all over. Looking at the mirrors is like gazing into a search light! The mirrors are exceedingly clean and have above average clarity. When you twirl this beast, the mirrors roll like light liquid mercury. The contrast is unforgettable. This coin looks like it was carved from a frosted block of ice. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck and boldly stand out with awesome thick frost. The eye appeal is totally jaw dropping! PCGS 2, NGC 2, CAC 2. The last PCGS PR66 DCAM sold for $35,250 in November 2013. That was a lifetime ago. The current Collectors Universe Value is $46,500, which we deem slightly low. We cannot stress enough how rare any PR66 DCAM Seated Dollar is. This is one of the few opportunities for collectors, not only to ever see one, but to buy one! We think there will be intense bidding here- be ready! PCGS# 97019 | ESTIMATE: $45,000+ 162

LOT 293 T$1 1875 TRADE PCGS PR65+ CAM CAC FROM THE INTENSE CAMEO COLLECTION We have seen many Proof Trade Dollars. We unhesitatingly rank this explosive and unbelievable coin SUPER HIGH END and one the nicest 1875 Trade Dollars on earth! This coin really does beat some higher graded coins! Absolute WOW MONSTER mirrors border on deep status. The mirrors are crystal clear (really rare) and are super clean. Just a few invisible lines keep this coin from being a monster PR66 Cameo (there are also a few lines on the holder, which are visible). Your jaw will drop when you see the contrast. Miss Liberty and the details stand out like they were carved out of a fresh frosty block of ice. Every detail is covered by thick iridescent white frost. We know we cannot put this coin away. The eye appeal is insane! PCGS 3, NGC 12, CAC 4. PCGS has graded 2 in PR65+ Cameo-we are sure this is both (and is represented twice at CAC as well). There is an old auction record of $15,275 from April 2014. Five years off the market with nothing even remotely similar appearing? This coin will see hard core bidding-so be prepared. Seeing is not only believing here, but is wanting. PCGS# 87055 | ESTIMATE: $20,000+ 163

LOT 294 T$1 1877 PCGS PR65+ DCAM CAC FROM THE INTENSE CAMEO COLLECTION Having built one of the greatest Proof Trade Dollar sets years ago and always being involved with them, this coin came out of the blue and just leveled us. We have never seen any 1877 (save for one 64 DCAM) remotely close to this. Not only is this by far the FINEST EVER 1877 Proof, we declare it one of the FINEST of ALL Proof Trade Dollars! If you know the date, then you will understand: 1877’s never ever come like this. And the coin is legitimately closer to PR66 DCAM then PR65 DCAM! Now that our eye balls are back in our heads, the mirrors on this coin rank among the deepest we have ever seen for any Proof TD. The clarity is off the charts, while the you can see just a few super light, scattered lines that keep this coin from full 66 DCAM. When you twirl this coin, if you are not totally blinded by the intense flash, you will see deep watery mirrors. The contrast is so incredible the coin looks like it was carved from a fresh block of ice. Miss Liberty and every detail not only are fully struck and stand out 3D like, they are covered by a killer thick white frosting. The eye appeal actually is beyond MONSTER looking! Our sister firm, Legend Numismatics has never seen a GEM Cameo remotely close to this coin. Even as a regular Proof, 1877 is a silent stopper for the series. We absolutely consider this a once in a life time coin! Only 510 were minted. PCGS 3, NGC 0, CAC 2. PCGS has graded 2 in PR65+ DCAM-we fully believe this is both and is both CAC coins. NO 65+ DCAM has ever been sold via auction. A regular PR65 DCAM (NO +) has a Collector’s Universe value of $20,000. This is the FINEST 1877 cameo Proof -period. Here too (like the 1875), we have never seen anything similar in GEM. If this out of this world coin does not set a world record price, we’d be shocked. Seeing is believing. Be ready to rumble! PCGS# 97057 | ESTIMATE: $27,000+ 164

LOT 295 T$1 1880 TRADE PCGS PR67+ CAM CAC FROM THE INTENSE CAMEO COLLECTION Legend Rare Coin Auctions is honored to have been consigned the magnificent Intense Cameo Collection. Many of the coins are either finest graded or are tied for finest graded like this fabulous 1880 Trade Dollar. We pinch ourselves over the quality of all coins-let alone to have such a killer in the set like this 1880. Having just seen the 1882 PCGS PR68 Cameo CAC that sold in FUN for $144,000, we shiver that this coin is not all that far off from PR68 Cameo. We do NOT see Trade Dollar Proofs any more that are this HIGH END. Endless mirrors beam intensely from all over. The mirrors are crystal clear. Only if you use a strong glass can you find a thin and tiny line or two that probably are what keep this coin from a full PR68 designation. It’s really not much at all of a difference. The contrast is stunning. When you twirl the coin, all you see are the deep and “black” watery mirrors. Miss Liberty and the details look like they were all carved from a block of ice. They dramatically stand out. The overall eye appeal is tremendous! PCGS 1, NGC 3, CAC 7 (this is impossible unless someone kept resubmitting a coin). PCGS has graded only one PR68 Cameo. This is the ONLY 67+ graded at PCGS, thus it is the FINEST PCGS Proof Cameo 1880 Trade Dollar graded. The current Collectors Universe Value is $39,500. Not only is this one of the finest 1880 PR TD’s, its unquestionably of the best PR TD’s that survives today! We expect strong bidding here ending with possibly a record price. Good luck! PCGS# 87060 | ESTIMATE: $30,000+ 165

LOT 296 T$1 1881 TRADE PCGS PR66+ CAM CAC FROM THE INTENSE CAMEO COLLECTION What a MONSTER SUPER HIGH END and near miss DCAM coin this is! Out of this world endless mirrors beam like a headlight bomb from all over. The mirrors are crystal clear and are the epitome of perfection. We even used a strong glass and found no imperfections. When you twirl the coin, the mirrors look like “black” rolling liquid mercury. There is no toning. The contrast is incredible, and the flash is nearly blinding. Miss Liberty and every detail are 3D looking with pinpoint sharp strikes and monster frost. The eye appeal will make you gaga! Only 960 were minted of this Proof ONLY date. PCGS 7, NGC 18, CAC 28 (we wouldn’t be surprised if this coin has been resubmitted many times). PCGS has graded possibly 3 PR66+ Cameo pieces. There are NO auction records for any selling. The last PCGS PR66 to sell was way back in 2014. Five long years ago that coin brought $15,863. The current Collectors Universe of $15,000 for this coin certainly will be reset after the market clearly shows it’s worth far more. Clearly this incredible coin is destined for an incredible collection. Good luck! PCGS# 87061 | ESTIMATE: $18,000+ 166

LOT 297 T$1 1882 TRADE. PCGS PR66+ DCAM CAC FROM THE INTENSE CAMEO COLLECTION 1,000 WOW’S are a way to start to discuss this MEGA MONSTER’s beyond Pluto looks and quality. We did resubmit this coin seeking a PR67 DC. We do not see why PCGS did not upgrade it. In the end, it really does not matter if this MEGA MONSTER is a PR66 or 67. It ranks very close to being God’s gift to all Trade Dollar proofs. It is SUPER HIGH END! Endless mirrors seem to extend forever. They are as deep and “black” as you will ever see. The mirrors don’t just beam from all over, they blind with flash from everywhere. There is NO haze anywhere while the mirrors are super clean. When you twirl this coin you are totally blown away by the watery yet ice like mirrors. The contrast is so intense this coin too looks like it was sculpted from a fresh block of frosted ice. Of course, Miss Liberty and every detail stand out with needle sharp strikes and ultra-thick pearl white frost creating the ultimate 3D appearance for all the features. There is no doubt in our mind this coin was created in Trade Dollar Heaven and then sent to the Intense Collection. Looking like this, how could it not have angels? The eye appeal ranks among the most dramatic you will ever see! PCGS 6, NGC 10, CAC 5. PCGS has graded only this coin in PR66+ DC. It has never appeared in auction. Even hazy non CAC DCAM’s have traded for $20,000-$25,000 at auction over the years. We spent our single brain cell trying to figure what this coin is really worth today. Only this auction will confirm if our estimate was even close. You just can NOT buy MEGA MONSTER ULTRA black and white coins like this anymore (especially haze free). You will NEVER regret adding this coin to your collection! PCGS# 97062 | ESTIMATE: $25,000+ 167

LOT 298 T$1 1883 TRADE. PCGS PR66+ CAM CAC FROM THE INTENSE CAMEO COLLECTION With a tear in this cataloger’s eye, this coin is the perfect end to a remarkable run of killer Cameo Trade Dollars. No question this coin is seriously HIGH END! Remarkable mirrors beam intensely from all over. The mirrors have extreme clarity (NO HAZE) and are exceedingly clean. When you twirl the coin, the mirrors look like deep liquid mercury rolling around. The contrast is amazing. Miss Liberty and every detail are pinpoint sharp in strike. Everything stands out with thick iridescent frost. The eye appeal is like the name of the collection this coin resides: intense! Only 979 were minted of this Proof only date. PCGS 14, NGC 16, CAC 7. This is the ONLY PR66+ Cameo graded. PCGS has graded only 3 coins finer. This coin has never been sold at auction. It’s been in the Intense Cameo Collection for quite some time. This certainly is a date and grade that is NEVER seen with a full booming black and white look. Plus, many pieces are toned. The rarity of this piece along with the top quality make this coin a candidate for a record price. If you are a black and white cameo purist, then this coin will melt your heart! PCGS# 870631 | ESTIMATE: $18,000+ 168

LOT 299 $1 1896 PCGS PR67 CAM CAC FROM THE INTENSE CAMEO COLLECTION AWESOME EVERYTHING!!!! The quality is VERY HIGH END. What a more then fitting coin to end the magnificent Intense Cameo Collection. Incredible ultra-deep mirrors beam from all over. The mirrors offer great clarity but do have some light toning on the right obverse. Of course, this coin is super clean and has a strong reflection. When you twirl the coin, the mirrors have that deep rolling “watery” look. The contrast is strong for sure. Miss Liberty and the details are needle sharp in strike and have thick frost. Her cheek does have two of the typical Mint made die lines common to the date. Still, this coin is a real PR67 Cameo and has killer eye appeal! PCGS 3, NGC 16, CAC 4. The last PCGS CAC piece to sell in auction brought $21,738 in January 2018. The current Collectors Universe is now $27,500. The marketplace certainly is not loaded with these. Once this coin is sold, good luck finding another! PCGS# 87331 | ESTIMATE: $20,000+ 169

LOT 300 $1 1798 10 ARROWS. PCGS VF35 CAC B-13, BB-108, considered to be R-3. A very pleasing VF35 Bust dollar. A great type coin that is evenly worn with just a few minor marks from its time in circulation. A few central planchet adjustment marks are seen on the eagle’s shield, but blend into the details. The rich slate-gray at the periphery fades lighter in the center. There is bold detail throughout despite the wear and good eye appeal. PCGS 14, NGC 0, CAC 2. The last PCGS/ CAC example sold for $2,880 in the 2018 FUN Auction, and prior to that, one sold in March 2013 for $3,525. The current PCGS value is listed at $3,250. A great grade for any collector to add an 18th century silver dollar to their type set. Good luck! LOT 301 $1 1800 WIDE DATE, LOW 80 PCGS AU58 CAC B-10, BB-190. A GEM AU example. This coin is purely original and very high end for the grade with an exceptional eye appeal. Lovely old time gunmetal and battleship hues grace both sides with accents of slate and olive-gold that come out when rotated in a light.. The eye appeal is really something special to behold! Its grade ranks among the “notable specimens” listed in the 2013 Encyclopedia. PCGS 7, NGC 38 (all varieties), CAC 3. No CAC-approved example has ever sold in auction. Our consignor paid a very strong price for this prize, and we suspect it will bring a very strong price when it crosses the block. You can pretty much ignore prior APRs and the published price guides. Good luck! PCGS# 6888 | ESTIMATE: $20,000+ 171

LOT 302 $1 1800 AMERICAI. B-19, BB-192. PCGS XF40 CAC One of the most popular die marriages for the year, a die mark (Bowers notes “perhaps from a punch or from a stray piece of metal during the die making process” which made a raised mark that resembles an “I” after AMERICA. This is a very pleasing and ORIGINAL XF example that shows wonderful dove and icy-blue patina on both sides. Nicely struck throughout, this coin shows exceptional definition and eye appeal for the grade. PCGS 16, NGC 7, CAC 3. No CAC example has ever sold in auction, but this coin did sell back in the 2008 FUN auction for $4,313 - over a decade ago! The current PCGS value is listed at $4,500 and another non-CAC coin sold in the 2019 FUN auction for $4,080 (this coin is far finer!). PCGS# 6892 | ESTIMATE: $4,000+ OUR ESTIMATES The estimates you see published in this catalog are based on HAMMER. Keep in mind that a coin could be either low or high end for the grade, have stunning color or be dull, all of which radically affect a coin’s value. Yes, there can be huge price differences within a grade, and we offer estimates as a guide so Collector’s can have a better idea of value. One thing we will never do is offer low ball estimates in order to claim stronger sales. These published estimates represent what Legend Rare Coin Auctions determines to be an approximate high wholesale value for the coin. The numbers are based upon current market values, similar trades, auction prices, published prices, and a consideration of the coin’s quality. There is no guarantee that the estimated prices are minimums or are exactly what you can expect to get if you attempt to resell them wholesale. We always advise you to view the coins you are interested in and calculate what you’ll pay using as much information as possible. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask us. We are here to help you! 172

LOT 303 $1 1801 PCGS MS63 CAC Legend Rare Coin Auctions is honored to offer the FINEST B-3, BB-213 dollar. None are graded higher than MS62 in Dave Bowers’ 2013 list of Notable Specimens. This die marriage is easily identifiable by the missing right serif of the Ts on the reverse. This CHOICE coin is exceptional in every way! Boldly lustrous on both sides with a strong satiny glow that is vibrant in the fields, especially on the reverse. Both obverse and reverse show impressive depth, sharpness, and crispness of strike with every hair strand, star, feather, and every detail sharply defined. The surfaces are hard and smooth, with very few post mintage contact marks noted, even under the most intense scrutiny with a powerful loupe. More artifacts from the minting process are seen, such as the die cracks associated with Die State III and traces of die rust on the obverse. Both obverse and reverse are awash in a rich, antique silver with accents of olive, slate-blue, and soft apricot-gold iridescence that come out when rotated in a light. Truly the underlying surfaces are brilliant and the eye appeal really cannot be improved upon. Technically and visually this is a very high end early dollar! PCGS 4, NGC 5, CAC 2. The most recent sold in the 2018 Central States auction for $96,000 and before that, a non-CAC NGC coin sold for $94,000 in June 2017. Needless to say you can ignore all price guides on this coin, they are outdated and do not reflect these auction records. Destined for a WORLD CLASS date or type set of dollars and this one should see fierce bidding. Keep in mind, no MS64 (Pop 1) has sold since June 2005 and the Pogue MS65 is tied with the Newman-Morelan and both realized well in excess of $300,000! This fully CHOICE example will be a real prize for any collection! PCGS# 6893 | ESTIMATE: $85,000+ 173

LOT 304 $1 1802 NARROW DATE. PCGS XF45 CAC B-6, BB-241. Ex Hesselgesser Collection. This is a very pleasing and original example of what we call a “GEM” XF. Well struck devices are crisp with just a touch of wear on the high points. Traces of original luster come through a layer of antique violet-gray patina. The eye appeal is exceptional for an XF with a problem free planchet and there are only a few minor ticks obtained by its stay in commerce. The wear is even and problem free giving this original beauty a wholesome and high end eye appeal. PCGS 5, NGC 48, CAC 3. The last PCGS/CAC example sold in auction for $5,875 in September 2013 and an NGC/CAC coin sold in the 2011 ANA auction for $5,578. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $5,250 and the value jumps to $7,000 in AU50. A great coin for the date or type collector. Good luck! PCGS# 6895 | ESTIMATE: $5,000+ LOT 305 $1 1803 SMALL 3. B-4, BB-254. PCGS AU55 CAC Ex Hesselgesser Collection. A “Notable Specimen” of this scarce die marriage, which Dave Bowers notes 300-550 survive in all grades, and lists a census of 64,64,63,61,58,55. The majority of these are obviously heavily worn, with most in the Good to XF range. Bowers estimates 10-20 survive in all AU grades, with just a handful in Mint State. This highly attractive example has bold definition throughout which is accented by a somewhat reflective surface which comes out when viewed in certain angles in the light. Totally original shades of deep pewter, slate, and russet-tan have blended accents of olive, teal, and pale blue that come out when rotating the surfaces in a light. A few ancient ticks will forever identify this fully CHOICE early dollar as the Hesselgesser coin. Surprisingly no prior provenance is recorded for this beauty. PCGS 14, NGC 22, CAC 3. This is the only CAC coin to have sold, realizing $17,250 in September 2011. The market for early dollars has seen some weakness more recently, making this a great time to add very high end examples like this really CHOICE AU to your type or date set. It should bring a strong bid. PCGS# 6900 | ESTIMATE: $17,500+ 174

LOT 306 $1 1860-O PCGS MS64+ A large mintage of 515,000 and the discovery of several original mint sealed bags in the 1960s makes the 60-O dollar a great date for type collectors as they are available in Mint State. Most examples are lower grade Mint State coins, as expected for coins stored for ages in bags. This piece has a pearly-silver and clear gold patina over choice Mint State surfaces, indeed were it not for a thin scratch on the reverse and some microscopic scattered ticks, this coin would have the eye appeal of a GEM. Well struck and generally pleasing. PCGS 1, NGC 5. The last one to sell was likely “bought back” by the consignor, as it is way too low. An NGC example brought $8,108 in March 2014 and the current PCGS value is listed at $9,500. A GEM will cost around $40,000, so a 64+ is the highest grade that is within range of most collectors. A neat type coin. PCGS# 6950 | ESTIMATE: $6,500+ LOT 307 $1 1855 PCGS PR63 CAM SUPER HIGH-END! This is a most dramatic coin! Incredible deep mirrors beam from all over. The mirrors are the ultimate in clarity and are remarkably clean for a PR63. You have to use a strong glass to see the few light wispy lines in the fields. The mirrors are so intense you really need Ray Ban shades to view this coin. A killer band of navy/gold/violet frames the obverse peripheries. The reverse just has some gold. The centers are an intense deep silver color. Miss Liberty and the details are so sharply struck and heavily frosted they look sculpted. The eye appeal is insane-really! ONLY 50 pieces were ever minted. PCGS 1, NGC 1. There are NO PCGS auctions records for this date and grade in Cameo. A regular NON CAM PCGS PR63 sold for $11,750 in 2017-and we assure you the coin looked NOTHING like this one! It is also important to note this coin has been off the market in a major Midwest collection for many years. We certainly do NOT see ANY dates in the 1850s looking like this. What an opportunity! LOT 308 $1 1857 PCGS PR62 CAM CAC A very RARE early Proof Seated Dollar. The mintage of Proofs struck prior to 1858 were extremely limited, and in 1857, the year before Proof Sets were produced for the general public, only 50 Proof dollars were coined. Today, PCGS estimates perhaps 36 examples extant. The present coin is of CHOICE quality. Highly reflective mirrors are flashy and untoned. A few tiny lines scattered about account for the assigned grade. Ms. Liberty is well struck up with full detail on her drapery and the eagle is nicely struck with only some minor weakness at the highest part of the wing. The devices on both sides are fully frosted and stand out with bold contrast, imparting a strong eye appeal. PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1.Rarely available in any grade, this coin will fit nicely in any set of Proof Seated Dollars. The current PCGS Price Guide lists a value of $9,500, and this coin has a record of $10,638 in the 2012 FUN auction. RARE in all grades, and especially so any finer. At certain angles the obverse mirrors really do beam from under the rosy-slate toning with accents of lilac, violet, sky-blue and light gold. There are some microscopic hairlines under the colorful toning. The GEM quality is unquestioned! Only 460 Proofs were struck. PCGS 7, NGC 15. This is the SOLE PR65+ at PCGS. With a mintage of nearly 4.5 million, the 75-S has the highest number struck, making it a great date for that purpose. The present high end GEM has a truly vibrant, glowing satin luster that gleams from the smooth, problem free surfaces that grace both sides. A gentle powdering of clear gold and lilac patina enhance the stunning eye appeal of this PQ trade dollar. PCGS 8, NGC 5, CAC 3. This is the only MS66+ and there are just three coins graded finer. LOT 311 T$1 1874 PCGS PR66 Full disclosure here, Legend Numismatics owns this coin, and yes, we sent it to CAC. Legend had NO problem buying it. We still scratch our heads as to what CAC was thinking. This coin is a TRUE ORIGINAL SUPERB GEM piece. Real and easy to see deep mirrors beam from all over. The mirrors have great clarity and are super clean. When you twirl the coin, the mirrors look like a freshly formed sheet of glass. Typical to the date, both sides are enriched by a deeper but totally vibrant mix of original azure blue/purple/tangerine colors. This is NOT a dark or drab coin. Miss Liberty and every detail are sharply struck and do stand out. The eye appeal is really nice! ONLY 700 were minted. PCGS 2, NGC 6. PCGS has 2 PR66+ and none higher. We do NOT see ANY evidence this coin has ever been sold via auction. The lone PCGS CAC piece last sold for $22,325 in April 2014 (we think today it is an easy $25-$30,000 coin). LOT 350 $1 1891-O PCGS MS66 Morgan dollar collectors take notice, Legend Rare Coin Auctions is honored to offer the SINGLE FINEST PCGS-graded 1891-O dollar. Exceptionally well struck for the date and boasting a bold, swirling mint luster that rolls along GEM quality surfaces. This is a remarkable survivor of the mintage of nearly 8 million pieces. The luster is intense and blinding on both sides. Blast white silver surfaces are totally untoned and scream with strong, original blinding brilliance. The sharply struck devices are fully frosted and really do stand out. This date has the distinction of being authorized by three different acts of Congress, and received bullion to strike these coins by the Bland Allison Act (1878), the Sherman Silver Purchase Act (1890), and the Trade Dollar Recoinage Act (1891). All told, the New Orleans mint churned out 7,954,529 Morgan dollars. Very little effort was made to ensure quality in striking, as the mint’s task was to produce as many dollars as possible. As such, the 1891-O is noted as having really weak strikes, among the poorest quality dates in the entire series. This sharply struck and highly lustrous PQ GEM is the FINEST KNOWN to PCGS and sits alone as the POP TOP for the date. PCGS 1, NGC 3. If you are building the #1 set, you need this coin. The Coronet Collection, the all time #1 Morgan Dollar set, a hall of fame collection on the PCGS Registry that we sold in 2015 only had a 65+. LOT 355 $1 1893-O PCGS MS62 DMPL This coin is clearly above average for the date in DMPL. Our sister company Legend Numismatics has been handling DMPL’s for 40 years and were picked by the late Jack Lee to exclusively buy his DMPL set. They know their DMPL’s and consulted with us on this piece. It is their opinion, this is an above average coin. Surprising deep mirrors beam from all over. The mirrors do make 8” in depth. For silver mirrors they have decent clarity. Only when using a strong glass can you see some light die polishing lines. There are no problems to be found. The contrast is silvery and is above average. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck for an O mint with maybe a touch of weakness in the hair. Her cheek is well rounded and clean. We grade the reverse a full MS63DMPL. The eye appeal is excellent! PCGS 8, NGC 1. NOTE: CAC has only beaned one 93-O DMPL, the MS65 and that is being offered for $350,000! The last auction record for a 1893-O PCGS MS62 DMPL is $12,925 in April 2017. The current Collectors Universe Value is $16,000. With only 5 possibly graded higher, this is a coin the majority of DMPL collectors need. Opportunity knocks loud here! PCGS# 97225 | ESTIMATE: $12,500+ LOT 356 $1 1894-O PCGS MS64+ Like many of the mid-1890s dates, the 94-O is a very scarce date in Mint State, as most of the mintage went directly into circulation. This particularly brilliant example does have a bold, strong luster for the grade and date, both sides have a glowing satin sheen. For an O-mint, the details are nice and crisp with bold definition. The surfaces are of essentially GEM quality with just some barely visible traces of contact. EXTREMELY RARE any finer! PCGS 68, NGC 17. It is very interesting to note, that while looking at auction comps, most of the 64+s that have sold in auction displayed moderate, often mottled, uneven toning. Untoned, brilliant silver coins seem to be the exception, not the norm. An untoned example sold in September 2015 for $12,925 (without CAC, as here); a CAC approved untoned example brought $16,450 in the 2016 ANA auction. The current CU value is $12,500 and only 13 coins are graded finer at PCGS, each carrying with it a $50,000+ price tag! PCGS# 7230 | ESTIMATE: $11,500+ 195

LOT 357 $1 1895-O PCGS MS66 Legend Rare Coin Auctions is proud to offer this GEM 95-O dollar! Currently tied for second FINEST graded at PCGS, there is just a single coin finer, and this is the highest grade example sold in the last 13 years! Bested by ONLY the Wayne Miller-Jack Lee MS67, this is a true prize for ANY Morgan dollar specialist--worthy of any WORLD CLASS set! Only 450,000 dollars were struck, making this date a scarcity even in low grade. As you get into the AU grades, it is a KEY issue, and is downright RARE in all Mint State grades. The present coin is among the LEGENDARY examples, which come up for sale very infrequently, and often only when collections like the Ralph Stone or Coronet Collection come to auction. This coin seemingly had not been known prior to the 2018 ANA auction. A truly UNIQUE looking example, clearly a coin that was allowed to sit for ages, unmolested, undisturbed, and untouched. A bold lustrous surface radiates and glows all over on the obverse, shining through iridescent toning on both sides. The luster blazes more boldly on the obverse, suggesting that it was stored somewhere where the reverse was in total contact with the tray or holder, while the obverse was not. Soft russet-olive-tan-gold patina dominates the obverse with two patches of deeper aquamarine patina at 3:00 and 9:00, giving this coin a distinct look. The reverse is an evenly dispersed melange of olive, russet, sky blue, icy teal, and coppery gold. Exceptionally well struck for this notoriously weak issue, virtually every detail is razor sharp in definition. The surfaces are clean, we looked all over the obverse and reverse looking for any stray marks, lines, or other defects that would not be normally seen on a 66 of any date, and there are none anywhere - obverse or reverse. The experts all agree this coin is a true GEM MS66, so we are not exactly sure why CAC did not sticker this coin. PCGS 3, NGC 1. This is the ONLY MS66 to ever sell in auction, garnering $336,000 in the 2018 ANA auction. Collector’s Universe suggests a value of $375,000. Keep in mind the Reverend McClure coin, sold as an NGC MS65+ CAC in June 2016 for $258,500 is now graded PCGS MS66. The Wayne Miller/Jack Lee PCGS MS67 sold in the 2005 FUN auction for $575,000, a level that is still a record for the date. The presently offered GEM is truly PREMIUM QUALITY, very attractive, and will be a centerpiece coin in any world class Morgan dollar set! We know it will bring a strong bid when it crosses the block!
