Explore Activity 1 Do you have pets at home? If you have, draw one of your favorite pet. Then write what you do to take care of your pet. Activity 2 Think of the animals in your community. Make a list of these animals in your notebook. Think of the ways these animals help you.Read and learn moreWhat animals are familiar to you? Perhaps you will cite cats and dogs among theanimals that are familiar to you and which you consider your pets. As pets, theyserve as your companions, friends, and even protectors. But what about other animals, are they also useful to you and to thepeople in your community? Some animals help people with their work. For example, carabaos, andcows help farmers plow their fields. Some animals raised to provide people with food. These includechickens, cows, pigs and fish, eggs from chicken, and drink milk from cows. Some animals are raised to provide materials for clothing. The skin ofsheep are used to make jackets. The fur of lions and bear are made into coats.

PARACETAMOL 120/mg/5ml Suspension Indication: For the reduction of fever, for the relief of aches and pains associated with flu, common colds, teeth and gums pains and tonsillitis. Dosage: Taken orally every four hours or as prescribed by the physician. Caution: Contains toxic chemicalsREAD AND LEARN MORE Special warning signs and precautions are usually seen on product labels to warn us of the proper usage, storage and disposal of these products. The most common symbol is the crossed bone and a skull to indicate that the content of the product is poisonous. Flammable materials like LPG, matches and gaseous materials haveflammable symbol to remind us to use them properly.These materials can cause fire if not properly used. Broken glasses can cause injury. These products havesymbols to warn that they are breakable. The Chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) are harmful gases contained in hair sprays, air conditioners and refrigerators. These CFCs make the ozone layer thinner. Ozone layer protects the earth from the harmful effects of the sun’s ultraviolet rays.

Apply It1. When you go to an appliance store you see refrigerators marked with “CFC Free”. What does it mean?2. This sign is seen on the door of the warehouse.What does it mean?
