AJ McNemar Congratulations AJ! We knew when you came into this world at a whopping 10.5 pounds that you were destined to be an overachiever! Your willingness to take on any challenge has made you strong and resilient. Your heart has shown compassion to many and has found you circled by lifelong friends. Your competitive spirit and positive attitude have proven successful both on the field and off. We are so proud of who you are and what you have achieved…and to think that this is just the beginning! You have many more wins ahead of you – and we can’t wait to watch it happen. Thanks for an awesome 18 years, and know that we will always be your #1 fans! Much love ~ Mom, Dad, and Ryan “Take every breath God gives you for what it’s worth” – Kenny Chesney 249

Reilly Mitchell Reilly, you have a quality about you that few others possess. You radiate loving-kindness and compassion to everyone you know. You are a good friend, loving sister, and grateful daughter. You lead others by example as you take on challenges and commit to projects and causes all in the name of helping others. We are learning all the time from other people and our experiences...and you, Reilly Kate, have been one of our greatest teachers! We love you! Congratulations on your high school graduation! #Classof2019 Love, Mom, Dad, and Annie “Whatever you do in life...remember...think higher, and feel deeper. Life is not a fist. Life is an open hand waiting for some other hand to enter it in friendship. Ultimately, the answers are so simple. Not simplistic, but so simple.” -Elie Wiesel Holocaust Survivor & Nobel Peace Prize-winning Author Sara Mooradian CONGRATULATIONS BEAR! You have worked so hard and we could not be more proud of you! We cannot wait to see what adventures await you. We do know that you will take whatever comes your way and use it in the best possible way. We LOVE you to the moon and back! Stay Curious! Sam Nock Sam, How quickly time passes. It seems like yesterday you were going to games and events while your sisters, Meghan and Rachael, were enrolled at Severn High School. When you finished elementary school, Severn was the only school you wanted to attend. It was a home away from home for you. We have been impressed by how you have handled yourself through these four short years. You clearly understand the core importance of your academic performance and have created a solid foundation that you will build on for the rest of your life. While excelling academically and athletically in NHS, Art NHS, football, LAX and wrestling, you encountered some daunting adversity along the way and have impressed us with the grace you showed throughout. The amazing friends you made at Severn will be for a lifetime. We are most proud of the person you have become. You are a good man and have a true compass. Respect for oth- ers, compassion, honesty and dependability have contributed to you being a leader in so many ways, but mostly you lead by example. This is the beginning of your adult life, your experience at Severn has put you on a path forward to where you will find success and happiness in the years to come. We look forward to sharing with you what comes next in your life, but will always smile and be thankful when thinking about the wonderful memories of your time at Severn. It is with great pride and love that we wish you a magnificent next chapter in life as you close out your high school years. Love, Mom, Dad, Meghan and Rachael 251

Jillian North Dear Jillian, We are so proud of you! You have worked so hard and have grown so much to become the outstanding, strong, and intelligent young woman you are today. We are filled with joy when we think back to your childhood days, our family trips and memories, and the day-to-day laughter and love that we have shared together. Through it all, you have shown humor, intellect, bravery, perseverance and most importantly a kind, caring, and loving heart. Your compassion for others is always present and abundant. Jillian, you are an amazing daughter, a wonderful sister, and a caring friend. Be confident, trust your instincts, and continue to make a positive difference. Celebrate all that you have accomplished and enjoy the new journey ahead. Thank you for bringing us much joy, love, and laughter. We love you so, so much! Congratulations and with much love, Mom, Dad, and Josie 252

Lisa O’Feish Lisa, I am so proud of all you have accomplished at Severn. I can already see you will achieve anything you want to in life. Buckle up and enjoy the ride because it goes really fast. I am really looking forward to watching you succeed in college! Love, Dad Lisa, There aren’t enough words to express how special I think you are. You are the most gracious person I know. You have grown into such a beautiful young lady that any person would be honored to know. Your smile, personality and giving spirit are inspiring to all around you. I am SO PROUD to call you my daughter and I hope you continue to learn what a spectacular person you are becoming. Your future is limitless!! I am your BIGGEST cheerleader!! Remember “I’ll be there for you!!!” I LOVE YOU! Mom Lisa, It’s crazy for me to think that you’re actually graduating high school. I still feel like you’re still the little freshman who I drove to school (even if we were almost late every morning). You’ve taken advantage of every single opportunity that Severn offers and got you out of your comfort zone which was awe- some to see. I feel old now because I feel like a few years ago we were throwing our backpacks up in the air walking down the driveway on the last day of elementary school and now you’re a senior prefect and a senior captain of the varsity tennis team. I hope you know I’m proud to be the older brother of THE Lisa O’Fiesh and that I love you. You will somehow find a way to kill it at college even more than you did at Severn! Roll Terps! -Brian 253

Julia Olds Julia, Seems like just yesterday you were just Baby Juju, always easy-going, happy-as- can-be, entertaining your older brothers and us with your “funny-sunny” baby talk, singing and dancing, and your wonderful imagination. You have grown up so fast and you are such a lovely person—thoughtful and caring, extremely determined, tons of fun, crazy persuasive, full of energy and enthusiasm--and we are so proud of you! We know that you will go far, but we will always hold you close in our hearts. All our love, Mom, Dad, Nick and Connor 254

Abi Poindexter She Believed She Could So She Did…. Dear Abi, On July 16th 2001 our baby girl arrived and lit the room! .….When the year 2019 was posted on your kindergarten T-shirt I tried to picture what you would be like in 2019….It seemed so far away, but here we are…. From the baby girl who ran around the yard playing ponies and could not sit still unless it was for a bed time story and a cuddle… Little did we know your lightning speed would become your trademark…from the little girl who loved ponies, the beach and Sherwood Forest Camp …who still doesn’t like amusement rides and swears she “likes” scary movies but leaves every light on in the house and asks us when we are coming home…..Our girl who can always turn a “crabby” expression into an extraordinary smile…. Who will always defend her sister or a friend and loves with all of her heart…. Our beautiful spitfire has grown up too fast and our hearts are so full of love and pride for the young lady you have become. Your years at Severn have been a blink but we hope you take with you….your grit, your unmasked smile and your huge heart. That’s really all you need in life… We love you more than words can ever describe…always keep your eyes on the prize and God in your heart…. May your next four years be an extraordinary journey…. We love you to the moon and back, Mom, Dad and Aves 255

Spencer Russell Oh Spencer! – We watched you grow from “Baby Brother” to a fantastic young man! As a child, the family used your name as a verb - “Spencer’d” symbolized chaos, humor, and sneakiness. You’ve matured with a uniqueness that was both bothersome and impressive. You express yourself through an exceptional intellect and wit that exposes your heart to all! We are so proud of you! You’ve become the respectful, kind, thoughtful young man that we envisioned. We are excited to see what meaning “Spencer’d” will have in the future! We Love You up to the Sun, Moon, Trees, TOO Much!! Quinn Roes By the time a child reaches the age of 13 they have been told several hundred times what they cannot do. Don’t touch that. Don’t do that. Etc. But rarely are they told what they can do. Quinn, do not ever let anyone or the world eclipse your view of what you can do or accomplish. We’re so very proud of you, you’re amazing, CONGRATULATIONS! Love, Mom and Dad 262

Paul Saum “Every accomplishment starts with the decision to try”  -John F Kennedy  Paul, you can do whatever you set your mind to. Love, Mom, Dad, Molly, Carly, Dixie, and Hokie 263

We are so happy to see our little “peanut” grow into such a shining star. You grew up so fast- just yesterday Kindergarten David asked if turtles had saliva, Elementary School David spelled “schooner” to win the spelling bee, Middle School David was inseparable from his “squad,” and High School David became a prefect. We will always be so proud of you and the amazing young man you have become. We can’t wait to see what will happen tomorrow—but will miss you terribly! Love, Mom, Dad and Luke 266

We are so incredibly proud of the daughter, sister, and friend you have become—you are beautiful inside and out and your genuine, honest and caring attributes will carry you far. As you head to college, remember to surround yourself with “your people,” understand the value of true friendship, take good risks, keep building character, and soar to new heights. Mom & Dad Team Terry Abby Tindall Abigail, Your first moments in this world were silent as your large eyes seemed to take in the world around you with amazement. Since that time it has been us that have been amazed by you. So strong, so inquisitive. Happily dancing and singing, rarely still. Often laughing, at times yelling. Loving the water, the feel of the wind. Haphazardly teasing, sometimes teased. But always giving your heart and soul in everything you do. We love and appreciate every moment with you. Eric Winsnom For all 15 years of my life you’ve always been right there beside me, singing off key, arguing in the backseat of the car, and refusing to admit I’m your favorite sibling by far, even though I’m your only sibling. I’ve followed you everywhere since pretty much forever, to basketball practices and cross country meets, to reading the same books and listening to the same music, but I guess that’s not an option this time. You may be an idiot and I might’ve considered trad- ing you for a good sandwich once or twice, but all in all, you could’ve been worse. I’ll call your room when you’re at college. Your Favorite Sister, Ava We’ve watched you grow from a tiny peanut, to taller than a sunflower. We’ve hiked with you up high mountains, and dived with you deep in the sea. You’ve grown from being carried on our shoulders to easily out sprinting us. We’ve frozen together on Alaskan glaciers searching for bears, and been warmed by volcanoes while looking for Pele’s tears. We’ve traveled to far east temples and to the western wilderness and have loved every moment of our adventures with you. You’re well prepared for your next Odyssey. Your kind heart, curious and open mind, and common sense will take you anywhere you want to go. Love, Mom and Dad” 281
