365 Positive Intentions Day 1. Spectacular is Never Simple Spectacular is never simple. Think about the complex network required to give us the things that we take for granted—those that we think are simple necessities of life. Think about the network of pipes that gives water to our homes, the wires and grids that power the electric, the internet, the cable…. very rarely is anything spectacular, simple. Anything spectacular requires work on the front end to have the ease and effortlessness on the back end. The effort and energy we are putting into our dream today is the complex network that is required for the dream to manifest as reality. If it were simple, it would not be spectacular. The effort and energy we are investing into the dream are required to make it spectacular, and if it were simple, everyone would do it. Anything spectacular requires work on the front end; it requires an investment of energy and a complex network so that the outcome is easier. Do not get discouraged about the work that is required on the front end because that work is providing the pieces to the puzzle so that everything falls into place on the back end. Allow our dreams to fall into place by investing the energy and effort necessary to build the complex network needed to support the spectacular dream waiting for us at the finish line. Blessings, blessings, blessings, Spoken Word Yoga. Namaste! Click to play audio

Day 2. Actions are Evidence of Intentions Intentions are only honorable when they are backed up by action. It is nice to have a good intention, but if we do not put action behind it, no one would ever realize what we intended to do. The intention is the vision, the beginning, and the origin, but the action is the evidence of that intention. Invest more time showing the evidence of our intention and know that the intention must be backed up by action in order for anything to happen. Intentions are only honorable when they are carried out with action, so there must be action behind the intention. The only universal form of communication is action, and what we intend becomes obvious in every action. Blessings, blessings, blessings, Spoken Word Yoga. Namaste! Click to play audio

365 Positive Intentions Day 3. Create a Positive Revolution Set a resolution that will create a positive revolution in our lives so that we are not just changing something on the surface; we are changing something deep—so deeply rooted that it truly creates change. There is a saying that if we want to change the fruit, we must change the root. We must change the seed that is planted because the seed we plant is the beginning of the fruit that we see at the surface. The small thing is great to change, but until we get to the root and plant a new seed, we will always receive the same quality of fruit. Start with the feelings, the energy, and the emotion that we want to create. Allow our resolution to be rooted in that emotion so that everything we do in the physical space is creating the emotion that we want deep down inside. The emotions and energy are the beginning of the revolution; they are the seeds that we are planting, the beginning of the revolution. We must be mindful about the resolution, and make sure that it is powerful and rooted deep enough to create a strong positive revolution in our lives. Blessings, blessings, blessings, Spoken Word Yoga. Namaste! Click to play audio

Day 4. Listen to Our Elders The conversations we have with our elders can often feel like we are sitting in a classroom, and we can learn so much from the experience of people who have lived life longer than we have. There is a popular African proverb that says that the youth can walk faster, but it is the elder who knows the road. As we move through life, it is very easy to think that our problems and struggles are unique to us, but chances are someone close to us—and older than us—has already experienced that same circumstance before, and that is why it is helpful to reach out to our elders for advice. Even if we do not come to them with a question, if we just listen long enough, we will learn something from them. Although we might be moving faster through this life, it is those who came before us that know the road. No experience is unique to us because there is always someone who has been through it and has some advice to offer. They can give us advice about everything we are experiencing now. Sometimes, just knowing that we are not alone is the best comfort, and our elders can make us realize that we are truly never alone. Take the time to listen to our elders today and know that they are dropping seeds of wisdom every time they speak. Allow their experience and wisdom to make the path ahead a little easier for us. Blessings, blessings, blessings, Spoken Word Yoga. Namaste! Click to play audio

365 Positive Intentions Day 5. Quality of Our Relationships It is important to monitor the quality of our relationships. When we take on mentally draining relationships or take on a person as a project, it only creates a cycle of negativity. But when we allow our life to be the example of the energy we want, we make it very easy to eliminate the sources of negativity from our lives. We focus all our energy in building ourselves and in using our interactions with others to stimulate our growth. We learn lessons from other people’s lessons, and we understand that rather than engaging in negativity, being more aware of the relationship we have with ourselves breeds confidence and draws more confident people to us. When we spend the energy being the example of everything that we want for ourselves and for the world, we are simultaneously creating that very world around us. Never take on mentally draining relationships and never spend time fixing someone else. Instead, invest our energy in being an example of everything we want in our lives and everything we want to surround ourselves with. We must realize that the fulfillment within ourselves is the best companion; the more fulfilled we feel, the more aware we are of the energy we create. We do not settle for anything less because we become more confident in our ability to create exactly what we want in our space.

Monitor the quality of our relationships not just with the people in our lives but most importantly, the relationship we have with ourselves. Confidence is all we need to build a perfect relationship with ourselves and with everyone in our lives. Blessings, blessings, blessings, Spoken Word Yoga. Namaste! Click to play audio

365 Positive Intentions Day 6. Be Decisive, not Argumentative Decide to be decisive and not argumentative. Decide exactly what it is that we want and act accordingly. There is very little point in arguing with anyone when we already know what we want. It is just a matter of following through rather than attempting to change the external circumstances. Our energy is much better invested in living our decision; so instead of being argumentative, be decisive. If we act on the decision that we have already made, there is no need to convince anyone else otherwise. We are already living the decision anyway. Be mindful of investing energy in arguing. Be decisive, act accordingly, and adjust our thoughts and actions so that they reinforce the decision we have already made. Set the intention to be decisive instead of argumentative and know that those decisions are evidence of our ability to assert our truth, to follow through with our action, and to be the example of the energy we want to create more of in this life. Blessings, blessings, blessings, Spoken Word Yoga. Namaste! Click to play audio

Day 7. Our Beliefs Define Us Our beliefs influence how we feel and how we show up in the world. What we believe defines us and what we can create, but we have the option to change our beliefs to create a better level of understanding that can give us access to more of the world. Think about what we believe- Is it helping us in this life? Do we believe in our power, in our worth, and in our ability? Belief is so strong that it can fuel our purpose and propel us towards our dreams. A belief system that is powerful enough to build, expand, and evolve us is a belief system that gives us access to infinite possibilities; so consider the beliefs that are working for us and identify the beliefs that are working against us. Decide to spend more time and energy believing in ourselves because all we truly need is the belief that can propel us towards greatness. Blessings, blessings, blessings, Spoken Word Yoga. Namaste! Click to play audio

365 Positive Intentions Day 8. Be Prepared for an Opportunity It is said that it is better to be prepared for an opportunity and not have one than to have an opportunity and not be prepared for it. We have a responsibility to manifest our greatness because that is our contribution to the world. We want to offer the best of ourselves, pursue our passions, and fulfill our purpose. The more time we spend preparing ourselves for greatness, the more prepared we are to be the greatest at whatever it is that we are doing. We are better off being prepared for an opportunity by putting in all the effort that is required to be everything we need to be to fulfill the dream we have. We are better off investing our energy into preparing ourselves for greatness so that when the opportunity arises, we will be ready to step into the role that will guide us towards our dreams. Truly, it is better to be prepared for an opportunity and never get one than have the opportunity waiting for us and not be prepared enough to take advantage of it—all we have to do is be prepared. Blessings, blessings, blessings, Spoken Word Yoga. Namaste! Click to play audio

Day 9. Conscious Channeling of Energy Concentration is a conscious channeling of energy, and that is why people find meditation very challenging. In meditation, we cannot fall victim to distractions or allow our minds to wander. We need a conscious and consistent channeling of energy to create anything. If we want to arrive at a destination, we must consciously channel our energy to get there. If we want to accomplish a task, we have to make the effort in every moment in order to make it happen. In order for that to happen, the concentration of that channeled energy must be invested only into one thing. Once we train our mind to consciously channel our energy, concentration becomes much easier in the midst of the distractions and complications in the world. Do not worry about or be distracted by the temporary circumstance and just focus on the consistent and conscious channeling of energy. Whatever we choose to focus on will inevitably manifest as reality, and everything we invest our energy in becomes all that exists. Blessings, blessings, blessings, Spoken Word Yoga. Namaste! 365 Positive Intentions Day 10. Find Stability in Life Many people practice yoga to improve their balance, but stability is only measured relative to where we are standing. Very few of us feel balanced when standing on one foot, but when we focus on one breath at a time, the balance comes with ease. Outside of the yoga room, if we stand in truth, love, compassion, and understanding of those who see things differently than we do, we always feel stable. It is only when we come from a place where we feel like we are not enough that we feel a sense of instability. If we stand in the place of judgment and criticism, our stability is also easily compromised. The work is to find stability on the mat and in life—maybe that requires just sitting in stillness and meditation. As we take a moment to focus on everything that we are grateful for, that awareness of gratitude immediately provides stability. If we focus on everything we already have, we are never left feeling that we are not enough. Remaining in a space of truth, love, compassion, and understanding is the easiest way to find stability in everything. In those moments when we feel a little uncertain or unstable, come back to the gratitude, love, truth, compassion, and kindness, and we will immediately feel stable and strong again. Blessings, blessings, blessings, Spoken Word Yoga. Namaste! Click to play audio

Day 11. Gift That Keeps on Giving Giving gifts is easy, but giving energy requires an investment. Instead of spending time in a store looking for the perfect gift, set the intention to spend quality time with someone. The time and experience we share with anyone will be much more valuable than the material things. Material gifts are nice, but they are temporary. The value of the experiences that we share together increases over time and lasts a lifetime, so instead of investing time in an object, invest energy in the emotion that we share with the person we love. Consider spending more quality time instead of giving material gifts. The time, effort, and energy we put in are so much more valuable than anything we could wrap in a package or put in a box. Our energy is the gift that will stand the test of time and the gift that keeps on giving. Blessings, blessings, blessings, Spoken Word Yoga. Namaste! Click to play audio

365 Positive Intentions Day 12. Our Presence as a Gift We are the greatest gift we can possibly give. Our energy has the power to change the lives of the people we touch. Our words have the power to change the way other people feel about themselves. Our actions will be an example that they will learn from just by being in our presence. Realize our worth, our value, and our preciousness. Know that as we give energy to someone, we also share a piece of ourselves, and that offering is something they will hold sacred. People will always remember the way we made them feel. Offer our presence as a gift today and every day because when we offer our best to the people we touch, our presence becomes the gift in the present. Blessings, blessings, blessings, Spoken Word Yoga. Namaste! Click to play audio

Day 13. Perceived Value of Money I try to be very aware of how my emotions are being influenced by external circumstances. I realize that a lot of the things that are ingrained in our social structure are influencing our emotional state. Money is a big part of that. I have been journaling about my relationship with money, particularly about how I feel when I have more of it or less of it. I have never been a person who wanted to spend money on things. Material things do not mean much to me, but I consider experiences very valuable. I will spend money on travel, a good meal, or even a massage before I will buy a thing for myself. Spending money never gives me any pleasure. In fact, I find it a little painful. But I also feel like now is the time, so saving money is also not something that is on the top of my priority. Because significant experiences are the most valuable to me, I spend money on experiences more than I do on things. I notice, however, that people have different relationships with money. Some people feel good when they go to a mall, buy material things, or give it to someone else. Others feel good about saving or investing their money; they are satisfied and fulfilled by looking at how much money they have saved over time. The irony here is that money and currency are only arbitrary constructs that have been imposed on us. If we think about the barter system where people exchanged goods and services, and where as long as each person felt like they were compensated appropriately, it was considered an even exchange. Money takes something out of that equation

365 Positive Intentions because we are giving over a dollar amount in exchange for something else. It only means that we have now placed a value on goods and services that otherwise would have just been an energy exchange. The money loses value over time; we go to another country and the currency rate becomes completely different—either adding more value or taking value away from the money we have. Gold and real estate hold value much more steadily than currency does, while money, especially paper money, is very much an arbitrary currency. So how do we define how wealthy we really are? Is it the amount of money in our bank account? Is it the amount of gold or the real estate we hold? Or when we look back on life, is it the connections we have shared, the experiences we have had, and the emotions we hold close to our hearts? Find the value in now and know that we cannot put a price tag on happiness, but we can assign value to everything. Enjoy the day and just enjoy the value of this breath, this moment, and this space of now. Blessings, blessings, blessings, Spoken Word Yoga. Namaste! Click to play audio

Day 14. Have an Open-Door Policy I have an open-door policy. I leave my doors open to anyone who needs a little escape during the holidays or during any day. Holidays can feel lonely even when surrounded by children, relatives, lovers, and friends. Most parents invest all their energy in creating experience for their kids, neglecting themselves in the process. Too often, we run from place to place trying to find the perfect gift for our friends and relatives, but we do not give enough to ourselves. That is why I offer my home as a sanctuary to anyone who needs to rejuvenate, recover, and reinvigorate the spirit without any obligation to bring anything at all but good energy. When we open our heart, mind, and door to people who might need extra comfort, we allow our space to become a sacred safe house where people come to feel better. When we open our door, we open ourselves up to a deeper connection, and that open-door policy leaves us open to the best moments that exist when we connect deeper just by opening ourselves wider. Blessings, blessings, blessings, Spoken Word Yoga. Namaste! Click to play audio

365 Positive Intentions Day 15. You Matter Take a moment to acknowledge how much you matter. You mean so much to so many people, and everything you do is affecting the people you touch in a major way. It is very easy for us to feel that we are alone and that the current circumstance will never end. We feel overwhelmed and discouraged, but we acknowledge that everything we do matters—that you matter. Without you, there is no us. Without you, there is no potential for greatness. Without you, there is no future to brighten with your light. You are the reason we are even having this conversation. You matter to so many people in so many ways. All you need to do in this breath is to show up as your best self and let us handle the rest. You are influencing the lives of everyone you interact with and that, in and of itself, is the evidence that you matter. Focus on all the ways that you matter, and then set the intention, even just in this one breath, to show up as your best self to the people that matter to you. Blessings, blessings, blessings, Spoken Word Yoga. Namaste! Click to play audio

Day 16. It Is Okay to Not Be Okay It is okay to not be okay. When someone asks us how we are feeling, be honest. Think about how we really feel. Even if we do not express it to the person who is asking, check in once in a while and see how we really feel. Acknowledge the emotions and be present in them. It does not mean they have to linger forever but being aware of how we feel is part of being aware of our own self. We become more aware of what we are inviting into our space that might be contributing to or taking away from the way we want to feel. We start to take more responsibility for how we feel because we are aware of it. Next time someone asks us how we feel, check in and ask ourselves how we are feeling—and it is okay if we are not okay. The more aware we are of our emotional state, the easier it is to create the state of mind and being that we want to remain in always. It is always okay to not be okay, but until we acknowledge how we feel, there is no way we can actively create the energy that we want. Allowing ourselves that awareness of how we are feeling from moment to moment is how we begin to consistently create the energy that we want in every moment. Blessings, blessings, blessings, Spoken Word Yoga. Namaste! Click to play audio

365 Positive Intentions Day 17. We Have a Support System Never doubt that we have a support system. There are people supporting us. Even if they are not in our immediate space, there are always people supporting our efforts especially when we have a vision that is rooted in service to others. Whether we see it immediately or not, there are always people who are working towards the same vision as we are. There is a community of people working together for the highest good. Even if just a bit of their work trickles into our space to inspire and empower us, that is a support system. Everyone who makes the effort to do something for someone else is part of that support system. The more we acknowledge that there are people working with us, the more their energies align with our vision. We just need to be aware that even our small work is already making a difference. If every individual makes the effort to do the best for the people they touch, that creates a community of individuals working together in service for the greatest good of everyone. It does not matter what exactly we are doing at this moment as long as our intentions are rooted in service and we are investing our energy for the good of others, we will always have a support system. Make sure that what we are doing right now is rooted in the greatest and highest good and know that we are supported in that effort. There is someone somewhere at this exact moment who is also offering themselves in the same way we are, and that is our support system. Blessings, blessings, blessings, Spoken Word Yoga. Namaste! Click to play audio

Day 18. Our Fears are the Gateway Our fears are often the gateway to the next level in our lives. Once we conquer our fears, we can move forward. Once we conquer our fears, we believe we can conquer anything. Once we annihilate and push past that one fear that is holding us back from our dreams, we become free to create everything we have ever wanted. The only thing that can prevent us from moving forward is fear, so identify what is holding us back. Identify the belief system that is preventing us from jumping head-first into our dreams. Once we conquer that fear, we can conquer everything else and create anything we want. Our state of mind is what gives us access to the ability to create everything we want, so all we need is the shift in perspective—away from the fear and a little more on the truth. We should focus more on the impact that our energy can have on the world and understand that fear is the only thing blocking us from our blessings. Once we annihilate, conquer, and move past that fear, we will have the strength, the power, and the perspective to believe in our ability to create everything. That is how we can make a positive impact in the world.

365 Positive Intentions Our fears are our gateway to the next level. They are giving us access to something more, and when we let go of that fear, we open ourselves up to the infinite possibilities that lie ahead and make room for more magic in our lives. Blessings, blessings, blessings, Spoken Word Yoga. Namaste! Click to play audio

Day 19. More Than an Intimate Connection We have this notion that love is something that is only felt between two people who are in an intimate relationship; but love is a universal energy. It is a contagious force that when offered unconditionally, it inevitably makes a positive impact on the person we are loving. Love can be felt as a gift of time, effort, resources, or energy. Love inherently is rooted in service to others- offering money or food to someone less fortunate, giving comfort to someone who is experiencing pain or depression, smiling at a stranger—all these efforts are rooted in love. Love is more than just an intimate connection between two people who know each other because love is an energy. To be grateful and hopeful is love; to be forgiving and understanding is love; to be generous with our energy and time is love. There are so many ways to communicate the love that we hold inside, and there are also so many ways to receive it. Next time someone gives us a smile, know how much they love us. Next time someone gives an offering of their energy, know that it is rooted in love. And next time a stranger offers a bit of kindness, try to pass that love along to someone else. Blessings, blessings, blessings, Spoken Word Yoga. Namaste! Click to play audio

365 Positive Intentions Day 20. Identify What We Want During yoga classes, I have been asking people why they are here, why they exist, and what their purpose is. The funny thing is that many people are confused about their purpose, and it seems easier for us to walk into a store and identify what we want than it is to identify what we want in our lives. Certainly, most of us have a vision of who we would like to be and what we would like to do in the world, but once we see it, once it is presented to us, we get confused about what exactly it is that we want. Indeed, it is easier for us to walk into a store filled with all sorts of options because even with all those options, we are still able to clearly identify what we want. Life is full of options, and sometimes, our work is just to clearly identify which of those options we want. Next time we walk into a store and already know what to pick up off the shelf, we should remind ourselves to think about the next step we are taking in life. Decide what we want to create for ourselves and realize that there are many options and choices. The work is to decide what it is that we want before spending hours browsing the aisles of the store. When we wake up, think about what we want, be clear about it, and then go after it. Blessings, blessings, blessings, Spoken Word Yoga. Namaste! Click to play audio

Day 21. Global Calm I used to wish for world peace. I wanted to eradicate war and I wanted everyone to live with unconditional love. I still hope for unconditional love, but instead of world peace, I would settle for global calm. Peace may take a while, but calm is more accessible. Global calm is where everyone can take time in stillness and silence and feel at one with everything. A global calm—a calm energy, a calm approach, and a calm way of being—enables us all to interact on this planet in harmony. It is the gateway to world peace, so if world peace seems like a far-reaching aspiration right now, make the effort to work on the global calm. Be the example of the calm energy we wish for the world so that we can avoid reacting so much. Instead, we approach everything with calm. Set the intention to be the beginning of the global calm because that is the easiest way to create world peace. Blessings, blessings, blessings, Spoken Word Yoga. Namaste! Click to play audio

365 Positive Intentions Day 22. The Best Way to Be Grateful The easiest way to be thankful is to be grateful. Think of the abundance that we have access to. Even if we lack material things, the emotional and energetic connections we have with the people in our lives are enough to make us feel full, whole, and complete. When we think about what we are grateful for, the easiest way to be grateful is to be thankful. Take a moment and look around. Notice the people who we are surrounded with and be thankful because everyone in our lives is a teacher. Everyone in our lives is contributing something to what we already know and who we know already; and all those contributions are enriching the quality of our life. Especially on a holiday that is encouraging us to be thankful and grateful, the best way to find something to be thankful and grateful for is to look at the person sitting next to us at the table when we sit down to dinner; to look at the people we love and want to hold close to our heart; to make a telephone call to someone we have not spoken to in too long; or to check in with those connections that truly enhance our life. The best way to be grateful is to start out feeling thankful. Enjoy the day. Blessings, blessings, blessings, Spoken Word Yoga. Namaste! Click to play audio

Day 23. Enjoy in Joy Set the intention to enjoy life and enjoy every moment. Just the word enjoy should already remind us to be in joy. Joy should never be delayed for a more appropriate time in the future. The time to enjoy life is now - in this moment. Not at some distant point in the future. Enjoy every moment because we have the opportunity to smile and shine our heart. Every moment, we can share something special with the people we hold close, so we ought to enjoy it. Remind ourselves and everyone else to enjoy this moment. There is no better time to enjoy every connection, every interaction, and every moment. Blessings, blessings, blessings, Spoken Word Yoga. Namaste! Click to play audio

365 Positive Intentions Day 24. Einstein’s Theory of Relativity We have been gifted with several great minds that have laid a framework through which we perceive the world. Take Einstein’s Theory of Relativity—it says that the truth is dependent on the position of the observer. This theory should remind us about compassion and empathy with people who are in a different circumstance from us. Once we see things from another person’s perspective, we can empathize. We put the theory of relativity to work for us and not just in the position of understanding what is in the physical space. We allow ourselves to understand how other people feel, think, and perceive the world because we can put ourselves in their position as the observer. If someone is going through a difficult time in their life, allow ourselves to think how we would feel in that same position so that we can immediately empathize with that person and show compassion as we understand where they are coming from. The Theory of Relativity does not only apply to what is in the physical space; it is also applicable to every aspect of our lives. The moment we put ourselves into the position of someone else, we create a space for empathy, compassion, understanding, and awareness. Allow the theory to help us in our relationships. Instead of sticking to our own perspective and viewing things from just one perspective, shift our perspective so that we understand how someone else feels. That is how we bridge a gap and make connections.

When we start to think from the perspective of someone else, we immediately start to identify with where that person is and how they feel. We can create a connection that has the potential to change the course and direction of their lives and our own. Use the theory of relativity to improve our relationships. Realize that empathy, compassion, and understanding are the best way to bridge a gap, to create connection, and to create a sense of community. When we understand where they are coming from, we are no longer strangers with our neighbors; and that gives us the opportunity to meet them where they are. Blessings, blessings, blessings, Spoken Word Yoga. Namaste! Click to play audio

365 Positive Intentions Day 25. Unused Life Have you ever received a gift and never used it? It is such a shame to receive something but never put it to good use. There are many people who do the same thing with this life, with their body, and even with their loved ones. All these are gifts that we receive, especially our body. We must take care of it and use it wisely. It would be a shame to have an unused body at the end of this life, so we should make the most of it. It would be a shame to not truly appreciate the energy of a relationship as though the energy exchange was not used appropriately. Most certainly, it would be a shame to have an unused life—just allowing this lifetime to sit stagnant without doing anything important, without making an offering to other people, and without feeling a sense of obligation to make use of the opportunity that each breath brings. What a shame it would be to have a gift of life and never actually use it. Set the intention today to make use of all the gifts that we have received. Make use of all the opportunities presented to us so that as we receive these blessings and gifts every day, we make use of them wisely. Make the most of the gifts given to us with every breath. Blessings, blessings, blessings, Spoken Word Yoga. Namaste! Click to play audio

Day 26. Walk the Talk “Practice what you preach” should be a way of life. Instead of talking about what we want to do, we should be an example of it. Instead of commentating about the negatives in the world, we should spend more energy in being an example of the positivity we wish to see. Leading by example is the only way to communicate what we want, what we believe, and what we wish for the world. Instead of talking about it, become it. Be the example of the change, of the love, and of the energy we wish for the world. Be the example we wish for our friends, for our children, for our lovers and relatives, and even for the strangers we have yet to meet. Show the world the vision we have for it by being the example of the energy we want the world to be. Each of us has the power to set an example, and the example becomes much more powerful when we spend the time walking the talk instead of just talking about it. Blessings, blessings, blessings, Spoken Word Yoga. Namaste! Click to play audio

365 Positive Intentions Day 27. Relationships Require Work Relationships often look perfect from the outside. When we see couples holding hands or embracing, we see their special moment and the connection they have together. On the outside, it looks like a perfect match, but there is so much work going beyond the physical connection that we see. Any relationship requires work, because each of us is walking into the relationship with our own perception, ideas, beliefs, and perspective of the world. Relationships require a lot of patience, compromise, acceptance, and encouragement. There is so much work in making a relationship work. No matter how perfect the relationship seems on the outside, there is always a lot of work that is going on in the inside. Any collaboration requires work, and even more so when it is a collaboration of energies, hearts, and emotions. Make an effort today to put a little work into all our relationships, whether it is with our friends, lovers, relatives, or strangers on the street. Make the effort to be more patient, show more acceptance, and offer a little more encouragement. Put the work into the relationships that we want to succeed. Things might look perfect on the outside, but they always require so much work and effort on the inside. Take a moment to put in a little work and know that every relationship will benefit from the work we are putting in on the

inside in order to make it stronger on the outside. Enjoy the day and work hard on our relationships so that we feel the energy on the inside that everyone perceives on the outside. Blessings, blessings, blessings, Spoken Word Yoga. Namaste! Click to play audio

365 Positive Intentions Day 28. Venting is Wonderful Sometimes, we must vent about the madness to create room for magic. When we identify a problem, it is important to understand it in order to create a holistic solution. The venting is just identifying the problem—it should not become a repetitive theme. Complacency rarely helps solve a problem because all it does is focus the energy on the problem without offering a solution. Venting is wonderful. Get it off our chest. Get it out of our mind and space but immediately shift the focus to solution. Venting is just letting go of the madness to make room for the magic. It is just a shift in the way we perceive the circumstances, situations, and events in our lives so that instead of thinking that things are working against us and internalizing confrontation or conflict, we identify it, we become strategic in how to address it, and ultimately, we find the solution to shift it. Feel free to vent about the madness, but only to make room for the magic. Enjoy the day. Blessings, blessings, blessings, Spoken Word Yoga. Namaste! Click to play audio

Day 29. This Moment is Significant Consider how profound every moment is. The universe was created in a moment in the same way that the origin of life was also created in a moment. Everything that exists has an origin in one moment in time, and this one moment in time is as significant as the origin of the universe and life. This one moment has the potential to shift the course and direction of our life and the life of everyone we touch today. What will we do with this moment to prepare us for creating all the things we want next and to prepare us to impact the world in a way we want? This moment is the beginning of everything, so we must decide in this moment to be everything we want. Create our dreams in our minds and allow our belief system to support it and our vision for the world. This moment is just as significant as the origin of the universe, of the galaxies, and of life that all started in one moment. Take advantage of this moment and realize that we have the potential to create the origin, the starting point, of everything we want from this moment forward. This moment is as significant as the origin of everything that has ever existed, and in this moment, we have the power to create everything we have ever wanted. What better time to take advantage of life than now? Enjoy the day and know that this moment is as significant as the beginning of the rest of our life. 365 Positive Intentions Day 30. Mindful About Repeating Ourselves The one thing I really do not like to do is to repeat myself. I am willing to repeat myself once or twice, but never more than twice. I feel like if it didn’t get through the first two times, chances are it isn’t going to get through the third, fourth or the fifth time. Frankly, repetition is taking time and precious moments out of my life. After all those repetitions, going over the same conversation and same points, and reiterating it over and over, I realized that it is only falling on deaf ears. If the action and circumstance never change and if there is no progress or evolution, what is the point of repeating myself? If there is no evidence in the evolution of action, it does not make sense to say the same points and ideas repeatedly. I make an effort to listen carefully when someone is trying to make a point, and I would hope someone else would do the same. If I feel like I am repeating myself and yet the action does not change, chances are I will just back away and leave them alone, hoping that somewhere down the road, the commentary or advice I have given is put to good use. I do not want to make anyone else a project; I do not want to wait for someone to appreciate the advice that I give; so if they did not hear it the first time and did not apply it the second time, I will no longer spend my energy saying it a third time. Be careful about where we put our energy and do not make someone else a project. It is perfectly fine to give advice and offer our opinions. It is also fine to make requests and give a commentary; but if we have to repeat it more than twice, chances

are it is only falling on deaf ears. Make certain that the advice we give is being well-received, and if it isn’t, it is probably best to stop offering it. Be mindful about repeating ourselves today and make certain that anything we are repeatedly doing is giving us the energy and respect that we deserve. Enjoy the day, try not to repeat ourselves today unless we are repeating the happiness, joy, and bliss that we deserve. Blessings, blessings, blessings, Spoken Word Yoga. Namaste! 365 Positive Intentions Day 31. Who is Choosing How We Feel? Who is choosing how we feel? Who are we allowing to influence how we feel? We must decide whether we will be proactive in creating our emotional state or allow someone else to create our emotional state and be the victim . We all have the power to create what we want. We have the power to feel what we want. No one can make us do anything or feel anything if we do not allow it. The more aware we are of the control we have over how we feel, the more control we have over feeling the way we want. Be aware of who is choosing how we feel today and know that the choice is ours. Once we embrace our power and tune in to our ability to create all the things we want in this moment, we will not fall victim to circumstance, to situations, and to actions of other people. Instead, we are clear about what we want to create, and we choose how we feel. Make a wise choice. Choose happiness, love, bliss, all the things we want more of; and more importantly, remember that the choice is always ours, so choose wisely. Blessings, blessings, blessings, Spoken Word Yoga. Day 32- Stretch Out and Get Comfortable Start the day by stretching out, opening up, and getting comfortable in your own body. If our body is tight, we will never be comfortable in our own skin. If our mind is closed, we will never feel comfortable in the world. If our heart is closed, we will never be comfortable in any relationship. The easy way to get comfortable is to stretch out and open up. Open our mind and our heart and open up to the magic that exists in every moment. The more open we are, the easier it is to receive the energy that exists in everything. We want an open heart, mind, and body because the more open we are, the more access we have to everything. Stretch out, open up, get comfortable, and step into a more connected and comfortable space of now. Blessings, blessings, blessings, Spoken Word Yoga. Namaste! Click to play audio

365 Positive Intentions Day 33. The Evidence of Persistence Consistency is the evidence of persistence. The more time, effort, and energy we spend in creating what we want, the more likely it will manifest into reality. There is a big difference between talking about what we want, and making it happen. Action is action; talk is just air until it is put into action. Saying and affirming it is one thing but putting action and energy behind it is the momentum that will propel the vision into a reality. Focus on consistency and remember that it is the evidence of persistence. Eventually and inevitably, in persistent pursuit of our dream, we will arrive. Talk is just air, but action is everything. Consistent action and persistent progress are all we need to manifest the reality of our dreams. Blessings, blessings, blessings, Spoken Word Yoga. Namaste! Click to play audio

Day 34. Wanting or Willing? Take a moment to reflect on where we fall in the spectrum of wanting and willing. Too many of us waste precious time wanting while very few are willing to invest the energy and effort it takes to make the want into a reality. Where do we fall in the spectrum? How much energy and effort do we invest in manifesting our dreams and passion as reality? In wanting, time passes us by, so we must be willing to invest the energy and effort to make the want a reality. Spend more energy willing ourselves to invest in the dream and the vision instead of sitting around and just wanting and waiting for it to happen. Be driven by the willingness to succeed and to live in abundance. Everything is accessible and possible as long as we are willing to invest energy and effort to make the “want” our reality. Spend more time willing rather than wanting because as we open ourselves up to the willingness to accept everything we deserve, all the energy we invest in willing our dreams to happen will eliminate the need for wanting. 365 Positive Intentions Day 35. Perfection Is the Ability to Evolve Some people feel that perfection is defined by the reflection in the mirror. They think that perfection is somehow an external display of the work we are doing on ourselves. Perfection is really just measured in our ability to consistently evolve. There is no finish line with perfection because we are constantly improving. There is always some area of our life that we can improve upon, some lesson to be learned, and something we can do to create a better version of ourselves. It is like an updated version of our software. The last version might have been exactly what we needed at that moment, but as things and circumstances change, the need to be more precise or efficient in one area or another also changes. Everything evolves, which is why perfection is not measured by our reflection in the mirror but by our ability to improve, make progress, evolve, and create a better version of ourselves in this breath than we were in the last. Perfection is never measured by our reflection. It is measured by the amount of energy we invest into evolving in this breath. Blessings, blessings, blessings, Spoken Word Yoga. Namaste!
