AU Events in Academic Year 2019

November 21, 2019 Special Lecture on “ Modern Trends in Airline Industry” Intended to enhance knowledge and meaningful learning experiences of the AU’s Business English students currently enrolled in an “English for Tourism” class, a special lecture on “Modern Trends in Airline Industry” was presented by A. Pakpong Youngyuen, Part-time Lecturer of Airline Industry. The lecture was participated by students, faculty members and staff from the AU Theodore Maria School of Arts.







November 26, 2019 Indian Lecturers and Students on Study Tour A group of Indian lecturers and students from St. Peter’s Institute of Higher Education was on an educational tour of Assumption University, getting exposed to the research on Cultural Immersion Program and the overall AU’s educational systems and study projects. The group toured Suvarnabhumi Campus towards the end of their visit.







December 7, 2019 H. M. Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana presided over the celebration of Assumption University’s 50th Anniversary







H. M. Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana viewed the elaborately arranged exhibitions which showcased the university’s 50- year highlighted historical background, major events and activities.











H. M. Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana was conferred upon an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science.

December 12, 2019 MOU Signing Ceremony between Assumption University and Guangdong Ocean University Cunjin College, China Academic Collaboration between Assumption University and Guangdon g Ocean University Cunjin College, China was established. The academic cooperation, for exchanged academic developments, collaboration and expertise, has been inked with the Guangdong Ocean University Cunjin College.











December 16, 2019 Timor-Leste Officials' Visit A team of officials led by Ms. Maria Filomena Lay, Director General, Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Culture (MESCC), Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, visited Assumption University. A visiting team also met with the students and was welcomed by Rev. Bro. Dr. Bancha Saenghiran, President-Rector Magnificus and a group of AU executives.







December 20, 2019 Cowboy Country Christmas Party 2019 Merry X’ Mass and very Happy & Prosperous approaching New Year 2020! to all our graduates and Ph.D students of all schools who excitedly and joyfully participated in the “Cowboy Country Christmas Party 2019” All celebrants were Clad in the cowboy and cowgirl costumes blending into the painstakingly transformed and relaxing cowboy-like town of the celebrative venue.











December 24, 2019 AU Christmas Celebration 2019 The legendary Christmas celebration, annually celebrated for almost half a century since the (AU) ABAC’s inception, takes place at both campuses. As usual, featuring some of the following major celebrative activities; - The presentation of the Awards for Excellence - The blessed birthday celebration of President Emeritus - The presentation of Staff of Year Awards - Christmas Mass











December 27, 2019 Assumption College Bangrak’s Students on Tour of AU Suvarnabhumi Campus A group of about 28 students from Assumption College Bangrak was on a study tour of the AU Suvarnabhumi Campus; observing learning and teaching systems of undergraduate programs; especially the Vincent Mary School of Engineering. The visiting students inspected a number of study facilities and finally went on a campus tour.
