I am glad to meet you again in the petals of Santhome Waves. I praise the Lord God for His providence which has kept all of us fine except a very few who had to suffer a little due to the pandemic of corona 19. But sad that we have a great loss! We are not able to come together as a Province- fraternity for months. The fraternal celebrations of Chapter, Annual Retreat, Province-
4 Santhome Waves Day and Prayer-Days etc are some of them over and above other limitations with which we try to cop up still. All the same we are called to mend our situation in the given scenario. The last Council meeting reflected on this issue. Taking into consideration all the factors challenging us, we plan to have get-together of Brothers in different groups aiming at a renewal. The theme of the renewal for this year is 'Gospel Brotherhood'. The year-long programme, using a Franciscan imagery- is termed Rivo-Torto 20-21. Rivo-Torto reminds us of the early beginnings of the Franciscan living in a simple hut with the very minimum conveniences. Later Francis and his Friars moved to Portiuncula, of which he said, \"I wish that at least this community be a beautiful mirror of the Order (Legend of Perugia, no 10). Porziuncola, also called Portiuncula or Porzioncula, meaning \"small portion of land,\" was a small chapel donated by Benedictines to Francis. It was from here that the Franciscan life grew, both qualitatively and quantitatively into a movement. Franciscan ideals of Holy Poverty, Fraternal life, Availability to the People etc surge in the imagery of \"Portiuncula as a Mirror\". The people of the locality used to say in their difficulties \"Let us go to St. Mary of the Angels\". The origin, renewal and growth of the Order in Portiuncula touched Francis so much that St. Francis had a special concern for it. He requested Brother General to watch and guard its purity even in the appointments made. In that sense Rivo torto 2020-2021 aims at an initiative which is to grow to a Portiuncula experience; the revitalization of the true Franciscan fraternity The Gospel Jewel of the Franciscan Fraternity at the Portiuncula thrived on the group living of the ideal, \"the minimum necessary, not the maximum allowed.\" We are living in a consumerist society where possession of goods is the criterion of happiness. Francis considered greed and avarice as breaking the relations with God, the fellow human beings and the nature, thus undermining the very notion of fraternity. Hence, he made a courageous choice of
Santhome Waves 5 poverty that does not use money, not possessing goods, self- supporting through manual labor, and begging alms in case of manifest necessity. The penetrating light of the ideal of Gospel Fraternity clarifies the otherwise vague gimmicks of consumerism and individualism within us. The world's mighty economy has been brought to its knees by a microscopic organism called the Corona virus. The rich and poor are equally challenged by this small and insignificant virus. Thinking in the same line let the apparently-insignificant but penetrating ideal of the Gospel-Fraternity eradicate the consumerism and individualism which have all pervading influence on us both individually and communally. On our struggle against consumerism and individualism we, as Francis are also led to make appropriate choices. Of course, we need certain foods, snacks, refreshments, certain forms of entertainments, convenient dwellings, decent clothing, some hobbies, etc. But to what extent and in what measures are decisive. It is time to reflect on our way of life and our choices in our day- to- day life regarding all such things. The entire society is struggling to survive which forces it for an appropriate budgeting. It is time also for us to make personal budget which must be guided by the criterion given by our constitution \"the minimum necessary, not the maximum allowed.\" Personal and communal accountability on financial matters would bring in tremendous changes in our fraternities. Why don't we try sharing about the personal budget of each friar in our local chapters and thus build up an accountable and transparent living in our fraternities. Sometimes individualism and subjectivism assume defensible forms taking away the Franciscan joy of our fraternities. When asking-permission is replaced by information and respecting others opinion and collaborating with the community have given way to self-assertion, not only the life of vows but even our simple peaceful-living is challenged. Certainly we have our limitations
6 Santhome Waves and, at times, crave for personal gratifications. Acknowledging and accepting our limitations and asking help from the fraternity would enhance the personal transformation process. Significant changes happen when we become accountable and self- sacrificing. We are 'lesser brothers' striving to live the Gospel as a fraternity, praying together as a community, being a source of nourishment and strength to each other to go out and share God's love with others. Our life in poverty, simplicity and fraternity will provide hope and enthusiasm in people who have little or who have lost all they once had. This would inspire people to say as in the time of St. Francis: \"Let us go to the Capuchins\", to find consolation, to feel one-with and thus to experience Peace. Jesus' presence always transformed disciples' hopelessness to a celebration of brotherhood. Thus let our communities be transformed to the celebration of brotherhood to fan the flame of hopefulness to the people around suffering under the pandemic of corona 19. I conclude repeating \"Start by doing what's necessary; then do what's possible, and suddenly you are doing the impossible.\" - St. Francis of Assisi Life is a blessing. God bless us all. Br. Pauly Madassery OFM Cap.

18 Santhome Waves Port. No.19/20 17/09/2020 My dear Brothers, Fraternal greetings of Peace and Joy to everyone! I am happy and grateful to God for His providence which has kept all of us fine during this pandemic Covid-19 except a few of us who had to suffer from some minor diseases. If the situation is going to continue in the present manner we may not be able to come together as a Provincial community in the near future. In the recent past we missed many important events like the celebration of our Provincial Chapter 2020, our annual retreat, common celebration of our 'Province- Day', group prayer days and sharing sessions, etc. However, I greatly desire that this situation shall not adversely affect in any way our fraternal living. In the last Council meeting we, the provincial council members, reflected on this issue and came to some concrete plans for this year. We are thinking to have a renewal of the friars both as individuals and as well as a province in the Franciscan Charism by means of get- togethers of different groups in small numbers. The theme of this year-long renewal is 'Gospel Brotherhood' under the caption Rivo-Torto 2020-2021. Various programs and gatherings are being planned focusing on our renewal in the Franciscan brotherhood which has its roots in the Gospel. Rivo-Torto reminds us of the early beginnings of the Franciscan living in a simple hut with the very minimum conveniences. Later, as you know, the early friars moved to Portiuncula and the simple living of the friars under the guidance and animation of Bro. Francis is very inspiring and relevant for us even today. We read about this life in the Legend of Perugia, (No 10) as thus: \"I wish that at least this community (Portiuncula) be a beautiful mirror of the
Santhome Waves 19 Order\". It is so very significant in our context when we are thinking about our renewal both as individuals and as a fraternity. It is our mind for this year that we focus on our fraternal living in all our gatherings, without in any way underestimating the other aspects of our life. I fraternally request you for your kind co-operation. Two of the dangers affecting the religious communities, and the world at large, is individualism and subjectivism. The only remedy for them is the Franciscan spirit of fraternity. Living it in its true spirit will surely effect a renewal in all other aspects of our religious life, both individually and fraternally. We cannot be stagnant and indifferent, remaining where we are. The Franciscan imageries beckon us for a relevant renewal on all the spheres of our life and ministry. As the first in the series of RIVO- TORTO 2020- 2021, may I invite all the Guardians, Vicars and Economos who animate our fraternities, for a gathering as specified below: Rivo-Torto 2020-2021 Guardians, Vicars & Economos - Meet September -27 Sunday 12:00 pm Arrival 12:30 pm Lunch 02: 45 pm Inauguration & Introduction 03:00 pm Session I: Accounting - Essentials of Accounting in Religious Communities 04:00 pm Coffee 05:00 - 6.30 pm Session ll : Franciscan Spirit of Fraternal Living (Fr. Santhome Waves 29 Sadhana Br. George with Menachery Corona Lessons which Corona taught me 01 I learnt to be humble, because I know now everything is not in my hands. 02 I find a new solidarity with everyone in the world. Corona is not only my problem, it is of every one. Suddenly the entire world has become one. 03 I learnt to be alone. If I catch Covid-19 or if I had a contact with one having it I am isolated and have to spend 14 to 28 days in isolation. 04 Forced to be alone I learnt to spend the time once again with books; I find reading is enjoyable and enriching. 05 I learnt to spend more time with my family as I am confined to my home all the time due to continuous lockdowns. 06 Lock down made me to learn new hobbies like cooking, gardening, writing, drawing etc.,because I have plenty of time.
30 Santhome Waves 07 I learnt to be generous. I look after the neighbor’s child because her mother is in the hospital undergoing treatment for Covid-19. I spare a share from my salary to feed my neighbour because the father of the family lost his job.The poor widow of the Gospel has resurrected again! 08 I learnt my possessions are not my own. When others need they belong to them. So joyfully I part with those which I thought are mine - my house, my buildings, my hospitals and even my time to accommodate the sick. 09 I learnt to live with certain amount of fear and anxiety, that I may be the next person to go to the quarantine or to a Covid-19 hospital. 10 No matter my age, I am learning to accommodate the event of my death. Who knows I may be the next victim of corona virus. 11 I have learnt to live with frugality, because the shops are not opened, even if they are opened I am afraid of goingout, to buy; besides the price is too high due to shortage, no job for me, salary is drastically cut. 12 For the first time in my life I have seen with my own eyes the misery of the poor in India as they (the migrant workers) from every state walking and pedling on a bicycle carrying babies in their hands and meagre belongings on their heads, miles and miles, days and days, hungry and thirsty hoping to reach their home villages. And after reaching…….? 13 I have learnt to maintain my spiritual life without rubrics and sacraments, without conventions and religious gatherings because the churches and spiritual centers remain closed indefinitely. Still I am more close to God than ever before. 14 I have learnt religion in pandemic is not the same as in peaceful times. It needs heroism to practice my religion during a contagion. 15 When my parish Church was closed, I learnt to make my home my church. 16 I have learnt faith is a hard matter. The entire world is praying since last January 2020 onwards, still corona virus keeps stretching its
Santhome Waves 31 wings wider and wider. I am forced to ask many times, ‘lord, why are you deaf to my supplications?’. Still I believe! Still I continue to pray!! 17 I have learnt in sickness all of us are one. All the differences among uson the basis of caste, color, race, religion, language etc.are washed away Covid-19 makes no disctinction of any sort. All stay together in the covid-19 hospitals, in the places of quarantine, even in the burial ground. 18 I have learnt my profession is not to amass money but a God-given occasion to serve others in need. 19 As a doctor, as a nurse, I learnt to take risks to help the needy. Who bothers if in this process corona finds a lodgement in me also! 20 In the days of pandemic I learnt to be responsible for the life of the other. My carelessness should not make another sick. 21 These days I keep learning why I should obey the rules. I begin to understand why this containtment areas and red zones and I abide by the restrictions imposed on me on account of that. 22 I learnt that technology is God’s gift to man to continue His creative actions through man’s participation. These days everything is by ‘on line’, children learning by online, ordering food by online, consulting the doctor by online, taking part in the marriage and burial by online, religious services by online. Practically everything is ‘online’. 23 I am beginning to learn to live without luxuries and grand celebrations of any sort as long as as this pandemic is in my air, because there is someone in my neighbourhood who is hungry and half clad and I cannot afford even a minute luxury. 24 Being confined to the house due to lockdown restrictions for movement, I learnt to cultivate the little garden with my own hands, an art that I had forgotten. Now I find it both physically refreshing and spiritually elevating, besides eating fully organic vegitables. 25 Like a child I am re-learning that something good comes out of everything, even from a pandemic like Covid-19. God has his own ways of leading me forward not necessarily the way I wish it.

Br. Dev Akkara reached here on 31st July from Thiruvananthapuram after completing his PG in Psychiatry in the Govt Medical College there. And we celebrated his birthday on 1st August with a festal lunch. Before long he left us to assume his new responsibility at ARC, Vadakkanchery. Two deacons, Tijo and Sinto who were doing their final year of theology in Satna, Madya Pradesh in view of working in our Gorakpur Mission were with us since March. We also thank the previous community members who had spent their energy, vision and time to make the provincial community a vibrant one. May God bless you! We had our first community Eucharistic celebration on 2nd August in which all the members of the newly formed provincial community took part. On the same day Br. Provincial left for Kannur for two weeks' ayurvedic treatment for his vericose problem and reached back only on 14th of the month after a successful treatment. We had our first monthly recollection of this term on 8th August in which the brothers of Nazareth ashram also joined. The animation talk was given by Br. Santhome Waves 35 with his psychological insights. The feast of St. Clare on11th August was celebrated with a solemn Eucharistic celebration and prayed for all the families of Congregations named after her. August 15th was a great day for all of us for two reasons: it was our Indepen- dence Day and feast day of Assumpt- ion of Mother Mary. As usual we had a solemn Eucharistic celebration and flag hoisting in front of our Provincial- ate building. Only the community members were present. Br. Jose Ponnore gave a very inspiring patriotic speech soon after the flag hoisting. On 19th we celebrated the birthday of Br. Joshy Vasupurathukaran, Vicar of the Provincial house, with a Solemn Eucharistic celebration and Festal dinner. Thank you dear brother Joshy for what you are doing now for us specially looking after our mess and other personal needs. We had our first Community dialogue on 21st August after evening prayer and supper. It was an occasion for us to take stalk of the house and feel responsible for it as most of us are new here. Everyone took an active participation in it and took a few decisions for the betterment of the house. 31st August was the day of Onam which we celebrated in a very modest way taking into consideration the hardship of the people due to corona virus infection. A very simple flower- bed was made by young friars of the house in front of our ashram, and under the leadership of Br. Joshy a good vegetarian meal was prepared for lunch. Br. Anson had his birthday on 3rd September. Br. Provincial thanked him for the silent work he had done in the last three years as provincial
36 Santhome Waves secretary and now for taking charge as guest master of the house. We had eucharistic celebration and festal lunch on the same day itself and we prayed for him that God may bring to fruition all his dreams. 8th September was a joyous day as it was the BIRTHDAY of our Mother Mary in heaven and we with one heart and soul as her dear children stood around her and thanked the Lord for giving us such an immaculate and caring mother. Br. Febin is our young friar who is very active in the house and we celebrated his Birthday on 11th September. We prayed for him during the Eucharistic celebration as well as during the holy hour and joined with him around the dining table celebrating our brotherhood. Birthday of Br. Wilson Pynadath also was celebrated on 29th Seeptember in a most fitting manner without forgetting that we are still in the days of covid-19. We had our second monthly recollection of the year at Nazareth Ashram on 12th September during which Br. Maria Lal, the Guardian, animated us with his inspiring words. Thank you, Lalachan! Vocation promoters of the province and the council members arrived here in the afternoon of 17th September for a meeting with Br. Provincial discussed various matters related to vocation promotion. Antony Thekkineth was in the Pax center enjoying his quarantine days. Thank you dear brothers for sparing some time to grace us by your fraternal presence and sharing your experiences! Now we are awaiting to begin the spiritual preparations for the celebration forthe feast of our father St. Francis on 4th October. May he bless all of you and give strength and vigor to carry out whatever commitments we are given in the province and in the house where we are. May God bless you! A very happy feast of St.Francis!
Santhome Waves 37 Nazareth Ashram Aluva Snippets from Nazareth We the community of Nazareth Ashram extend a cordial greeting of peace and joy to all of you. May the good Lord shower blessings upon all of you. We are so happy and excited to share with you the glad tidings of Nazareth Ashram through the pages of Santhome Waves. Although the lockdown and social distancing due to the Covid-19 pandemic may prevent us from gathering together, the fraternal spirit of our Franciscan life binds us all together as one in the Lord. New community and a new beginning After much delay and dilemma, we have begun a new triennium amid all the odds hurdled by the great pandemic and so we have a new community at Nazareth Ashram. Br. Maria Lal Manjaly who is appointed as the new Guardian, joined the community by 26th of July, and Br. Christy Vattakuzhy,
38 Santhome Waves the out-going Guardian of the community welcomed him along with the few members of the out-going community to Nazareth Ashram. We were also fortunate to have the presence of Br. Pauly Madassery, our Provincial Minister, and a few members from the Provincialate with us in welcoming our new Guardian. The rest of the newly-appointed community members joined us in the following days. We are very grateful to the out-going community members to offer us a cordial welcome. Including Br. Maria Lal, our community consists of seven members. We were also glad to receive Br. Ajo Puthukkara, our brother regent as the Benjamin of the group, who is appointed temporarily, with the task of assisting at our Friendship Press. After the arrival of all the newly-appointed community members, we had our first community dialogue and community mass on the 27th of July. Invoking the grace and blessings of our Lord Jesus Christ and St. Francis of Assisi our heavenly patron, we have well begun the life here in Nazareth Ashram. Shouldering the burdens After the arrival and settling down, the first order of business was to share and shoulder the responsibilities of the house. So, to run the house smoothly, various duties were assigned to the members of the community in consultation with the Provincial and Definitory. Thus, Br. Mathew Choondiyanickal was appointed as the Vicar, Br. Joseph Kalaparambeth was appointed the Discreet, and Br. Joy Menachery was appointed as the Procurator of the house respectively. Along with it, various offices of the house were also distributed among the members for the proper functioning of the house in the first community gathering. Visit to the Parish Priest Following our tradition and custom, we as the new community of Nazareth Ashram, paid a fraternal visit to St. Dominic's, our Parish church at Aluva on the 8th of August and met with Fr. Varghese Pottekkal, the Vicar of the church. He received us cordially and extended great hospitality. As the Parish Priest, he wished us everything best ahead and requested our support and co-operation in the spiritual ministries of the Parish church. He also thanked us profoundly for the services which Nazareth Ashram had been rendering in the past years for the Parish, like Sunday catechism, pastoral activities, and animation of faithful around our Ashram.
Santhome Waves 39 Monthly Recollection Having consulted with the Provincialate community and reaching into a common consensus, it was decided that both Nazareth and Provincialate communities shall conduct their monthly recollection together due to the proximity of the houses. And it was also decided that the two communities shall host the recollection alternately. As per the decision, all the second Saturdays were to be observed as recollection days. The first monthly recollection day was hosted by the Provincialate community on the 8th of August. The recollection talk was animated by Br. Joshy Vasupurathukaran, which was followed by an hour of adoration and confession. The program came to an end with supper. The next recollection day was on the 12th of September and it was hosted by the Nazareth community. Br. Maria Lal animated the recollection talk. Both occasions were opportunities for all of us to spiritually renew and nourish ourselves. Birthday Bashes to Benjamin After the arrival of the new community, our first common celebration was the Birthday of Br. Ajo Puthukara the youngest member of our community, which was on the 8th of August. But we conveniently celebrated it on the following day. The celebrations began with the community Mass and in the evening, we had a prayer session to thank and pray for the gift of the person of Br. Ajo and for all the good we have received through him to our fraternity. The Provincialate community was invited to the celebrations. They joined us in prayer session and at the birthday dinner which followed it. Br. Maria Lal, the Guardian thanked him for the selfless services offered to the community, and Br. Pauly, our Provincial felicitated his wonderful qualities as well as wished him all the best for his future studies. Provincial's Visitation On the 24th of August, we were privileged to welcome Br. Pauly Madassery, our dear Provincial Minister, who came for a fraternal visit to Nazareth Ashram. As informed earlier, we had an official gathering in which Br. Pauly addressed all of us. In his address, he informed the community about the decisions taken by the definitory regarding the affairs of the province and also about the new projects and ventures which our Province
40 Santhome Waves has undertaken recently. Provincial also reminded us about the challenges which we will have to go through in the post-Corona period. After the Provincial's address, we had a fruitful dialogue in which the community members expressed their concerns. We thank you dear Br. Pauly for your encouraging and supporting fraternal visit. From offline to online ministries Coming together for worship and liturgy in the church became impossible during the time of the Coronavirus outbreak due to its large-scale social spread. But this did not deter the vibrant spirit of the church from reaching out to the faithful to cater to their spiritual needs. When public gatherings should be avoided and physical distancing is required for the sake of people's health and lives, theonline platform became a powerful tool for the church to minister the flock of Christ. Here, in Nazareth Ashram, Fr. Jose Mundadan and Br. Joy Menachery committed themselves to the active online ministries through the internet during this lock-down period. To facilitate the online ministry, we made all the necessary arrangements and requirements needed for it and broadcasted Holy Mass, Adoration, Rosary, and Spiritual talks abroad and in the country. We appreciate and thank you dear brothers for your unfeigned efforts and genuine spirit. Onam Celebration Just like any other festival or celebration of this year was diminished by the Covid-19, so also the Onam celebrations. There were no floral decorations or common gatheringsgiven, only to prevent from a public spread but as a Malayalee nothing can dampen or snuff out the spirit of Onam. We had a very modest Onam celebration this time. On 31st of August, the Onam day our dear cook Mini chechi prepared a sumptuous and delicious 'Onasadhya' with a variety of curries and two kinds of 'Payasams' for us. Fraternal visit of the Definitory The four Provincial definitors along with the Br. Pauly Madassery, our Provincial Minister, paid us a fraternal visit, on the 6th of September as informed in advance. We were so glad to welcome them to our community. After the election and appointment, the new definitory is coming for the first time to make a visitation to Nazareth Ashram. After
Santhome Waves 41 having breakfast with them we had a dialogue and sharing session with them which turned to be very fruitful for all of us. We thank you dear fathers for your generosity and concern as well as for your fraternal visit. Guardian's Day 2020 September 8th was a day of great joy and celebration for the Nazareth community. Because it was on this day, we celebrate the feast of the nativity of our Blessed Virgin Mother. To double the happiness of the day the same is the feast day and birthday of beloved Guardian Br. Maria Lal Manjaly and this was his platinum birthday. So, we decided to make the event a memorable one and under the leadership of Br. Mathew, our Vicar of the house, we made elaborate preparations for the same. Provincialate community and many other friars from various other communities who are closely associated with Br. Maria Lal were invited for the function. Fr. Varghese Pottekkal, our Parish priest was also present for the celebrations. The celebrations began with the festal solemn sung mass in the evening. During the homily Br. Mathew Choondiyanickal felicitated upon Br. Maria Lal and thanked him for all the services he had been rendering to the community as the Guardian of the house. It was followed by Grant Festal Dinner. During the dinner, Br. Pauly, our Provincial extended the greetings of his 75th birthday to Br. Maria Lal and thanked for his relentless services offered to the province in the past years in various capacities and offices. Many who came for celebrations also felicitated upon him. Br. Maria Lal thanked all who came to the celebration and for their love and concern.
42 Santhome Waves \"Let us re-commence together\" In the light of the permissions granted by both governmental and ecclesial authorities to re-open the churches and religious houses for worship and prayer, we too decided in the community to re-commence the liturgical services in our Ashram chapel with the co-operation and support of the faithful in the vicinity. So, for the same, after having consulted with the Parish Priest, we called upon a meeting of the family units and pious association leaders on the 11th of September in which it was decided to start the Sunday Mass at first and later, as it seems fit, the regular mass on weekdays. Thus, as per the decision, we restarted the liturgical services at our chapel, abiding by all the safety precautions prescribed by the health department on Sunday the 13th of September. We are really happy to share with you the Snippets from Nazareth, through the pages of Santhome Waves and until we meet again in the next issue of the same, we wish and pray everything good and best ahead for you all. Also, we wish you all a Happy Feast of Our Father and Founder St. Francis of Assisi.
Santhome Waves 43 San Joe Ashram Thalappara How blessed is to stay at the house of the Lord! Our new community here in Thalappara was inaugurated on 21st July 2020. On that day, after supper, Br. Biju Panamkulam, the outgoing Guardian read out the obedience letter from the Provincial to Br. Shaju. The new members Brs. Stanley and Arun were already present. We congratulated Br. Shaju Vadakkan on the occasion of his appointment as our Guardian and thanked Br. Biju on the completion of his mission as Guardian of Sanjo Ashram, Thalappara. Arrival of Br. John Padijnakkara on 25th July added a lot more color and enthusiasm to our community. He is very busy with beautifying and cultivating the land. Thanks, dear brother, for your good initiatives. We wish you a very pleasant stay here with us. Br. Guardian is busy animating the community and doing the needful to make our life better here at Thalappara. Br. Stanley, our vicar is also busy with kitchen and other household works. Br. Arun our newly ordained priest is very fresh and energetic after his pastoral experience at Narakal parish. Besides doing the work of a procurator he also takes care of the sacristy as well as the livestock. We, all the community members, are engaging in various pastoral ministries in the surrounding parishes and institutions strictly
44 Santhome Waves observing the protocols of Covid 19. We wish to do more once corona says good bye to us. It was a great joy for all of us to celebrate the birthday of the Benjamin of our community, Br. Arun, on 16th August. We had a special adoration in honor of him on the previous night conducted by Br. Guardian. On the day of his birthday we had community Mass with the people in the Ashram chapel and festal lunch was also arranged in honor of him. A few friars from Perumbavoor community joined us for lunch. We wish you all the best dear Br. Arun! Send off for our Elikutty (our goat) to provincialate was a saddening experience for all of us. But we are glad to hear later that she is much happier there and has a better stay and accommodation. Moreover all the friars are overfeeding her. Our dear Br. John Padinjakara lost his beloved uncle 'Anthony' on 28th August. It was a shocking experience for the family. We extend our heartfelt condolences and prayers to Br. John and to his uncle's family. Due to Covid 19, we didn't have a bigger onam celebration in our ashram. Instead we had a 'Kunjonam'. We had onasadya with our cook and mother 'Sarasamma'. Though it was a kunjonam, but we were happy with it. We had a partial observation of 'Ettunombu' in our Ashram as per the recommendation of Cardinal George Alanchery. On September 8, we had solemn celebration of the Birthday of Mother Mary which was a day of blessing to all of us and to our neighbours who joined us for the Mass. The creative hands of Br. Arun gave a beautiful look to our Altar on that day. We were blessed by the visit of a good number of our friars within the last two months. We are grateful to them for the time they found to be with us especially friars from Mupliyam, Perumbavoor and Aluva. And very special thanks to our provincial and team for their visitation on 6th September 2020. We wish you all everything best and happy feast of our seraphic father St. Francis of Assisi. Good bye until we meet again.
