HORIZONTAL: Social inclusion If relevant, please select up to two additional priorities according to the objectives of your project. SCHOOL EDUCATION: Promoting the acquisition of skills and competences SCHOOL EDUCATION: Supporting schools to tackle early school leaving (ESL) and disadvantageDescription Please describe the motivation for your project and explain why it should be funded. The project is crossdisciplinary and multipronged. It is student oriented and combines geography , physics , mathematics , information technology and foreign languages. It gives the opportunity of using and expanding the knowledge but mainly all the key competences usefull in further education. Students will know different learning strategies, develop reading , listening , writting and speaking skills. During working visits students will work on tasks in geography , physics , mathematics. They will analyse , deduct ,report on their findings in international groups which will develop their skills of working in groups in the project method. Those actions will prevent their exclusion and early school leaving. Some of the partner countries belong to regions which are marked by socialeconomic tensions and disadvantages (f.e low income, reduced number of training vacancies and high poverty risk). Energy from renewable resources—wind, water, the sun, biomass and geothermal energy—is inexhaustible and clean. Investing in renewable energy creates jobs, fosters economic growth, and improves energy security for countries that lack domestic fossil fuel resources. As a responsible European citizen our students should be aware of the renewable energy sources The students will discuss strong and weak points of their sites regarding renewable sources of energy. They will find out which qualifications are needed to get good job career in the region .At the same time they get to know the cultural, social, economic factors of the partners and try to compare and value them. A comparison between advantages and disadvantages of the specific use of energy sources in their regions will support the mutual understanding of the students. The project is a good answer to the EU objectives and priorities since The Europa 2020 strategy aims to reduce by 2020 greenhouse gas emissions by 20% and produce at least 20% of its energy from renewable sources. The education systems need to sharpen its focus on sustainability, such that future generations are trained to face environmental challengesEN 26 / 105

Does your project involve schools that have never previously been involved in a Strategic Partnership? If yes, please explain how the other partners can support them during the project. The partnership was formed through previous cooperation (Greece ,Portugal , Poland ) , personal acquaintances (FYROM) and networking platforms such as eTwinning (Sicily , Finland). The partnership consists of six partners from six countries: Greece, Poland, Italy Portugal, Finland and FYROM .All of them have experience in participating in European projects (except FYROM )and on e-Twinning projects. The partners are going to suport new member FYROM in every aspect and use all means to help it. We hope FYROM will enable other participants to open for new possibilities and solutions and to avoid routine. There will be a clear distribution of tasks and the skills and adequate management of the project by the Polish coordinator who will create efficient productivity according to the goals. The partners also help with the exploitation and the dissemination of projects’ results and guarantee project sustainability The partnership is based on the idea of an international cooperation of different countries in Europe who share the common aim of forming their students in multicultural values. It has also been based on different criteria, intending to enlarge and bring knowledge in the different European countries involved. Having established the starting point, the idea of the project was developed by the Greek partner. He carefully searched and selected partners from different European countries who share the same desire to answer the same needs: - to develop tolerance and respect towards multiculturalism; - to abolish stereotypes; - to develop students’ self-esteem and self-confidence; - to enhance pupils' self-knowledge of their cultures; - to booster student’s skills in the use of English language while studying geography and physics; - to promote the use of ICT in the schools. The project guarantees a heterogeneous partnership to work together with an emphasis on the students’ relationships, with a common intercultural and multi-linguistic cyber-space for student /teacher communication belonging to different educational and cultural frameworks. Have you used or do you plan to use eTwinning, School Education Gateway or the Erasmus+ Project Results Platform for preparation, implementation or follow-up of your project? If yes, please describe how. We have already used etwinning platform for establishing partnership with Sicilly . Erasmus+ Project Results Platform will be used for dissemination of the results. We are planning to use Erasmus+ platform and etwinning platform , Skype (for chats)or Facebook although the fundamental way of exchange the information will be email. The communication will take place individually and in groups student-student , student –teacher , teacher-teacher .We are going to discuss all current issues and disseminate the Project's results.EN 32 / 105
