CAMBRIDGE PUBLIC SCHOOL, BENGALURU PRE-PRIMARY PRESENTS CAMBRIDGE CHRONICLE SEPTEMBER-2021
Teaching is considered as one of the noblest professions as it contributes a greater educated population to the world. Teachers are the ones who choose their careers to spread knowledge and wisdom. Only educated workforces can up-bring the nation to the developed stage. For this one must be well-educated with proper guidance and vision. A teacher not merely teaches the students about lessons in the textbooks, but mould a child into a socially responsible person. They are role models for many and are respected by society as a whole. Are Assessments important? Yes! Assessments are important to help educators learn about each child and identify the ways to support their students’ learning and development. It helps educators become aware of children's strengths and areas of their learning and development in which they may require further support in learning. It not only helps teachers assess whether outcomes are met or not, but also in motivating and nurturing each child. The purpose of assessment is to determine every child’s strength and set goals by planning and designing activities to support them in all aspects. Teachers at Cambridge, plan and design the assessment paper using forms, flipgrid, colourful PPT’s, and notebooks to ensure that their written skills, as well as oral skills are practiced. Therefore, making their online learning more meaningful which ensures a Happy learning !!.. Regards, Mahalakshmi.R (Class teacher of Prep II B)
The importance of revision: • Firstly, it helps the children to remember facts, figures, topics and methodologies that they have been covered till date in the class. They were given oral practice through ppt, quiz, riddles and verbal activities. Written practice was done through worksheets, forms and notebooks which helped the children to become more knowledgeable and active learners. • Secondly, The prime motive of revisiting all the subjects was to make our students independent and confident for the forth coming assessments. • The Mid Term Assessment 2021-2022 will give an insight about the child's understanding and learning abilities. The Mode of Assessment for Orals will be One-to-One interaction with the children, written will be conducted through Microsoft Forms and Flipgrid.
