คำ�ปรารภ นับตั้งแต่พระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัวภูมิพลอดุลยเดชเสด็จเถลิงถวัลยราชสมบัติ สถิตในตำ�แหน่ง จอมทัพไทย ทรงดำ�รงอยู่ในทศพิธราชธรรม ทั้งทรงยึดพระปฐมบรมราชโองการเป็นสัจวาจา โดยทรงปฏิบัติตามนั้น ทุกประการ ทรงอุทิศพระองค์ตรากตรำ�พระวรกาย บำ�เพ็ญพระราชกรณียกิจนานัปการ ด้วยพระวิริยะอุตสาหะ เพื่อประโยชน์สุขของพสกนิกร และความมั่นคงปลอดภัยของชาติ ทรงสนพระราชหฤทัยในกิจการทหารทุกๆ ด้าน พระราชทานพระราชด�ำ ริ พระบรมราโชบาย และพระบรมราโชวาท ใหเ้ ปน็ แนวทางในการปฏบิ ตั ิ กบั ทงั้ พระราชทาน ความห่วงใยและกำ�ลังใจแก่ปวงทหารด้วยพระเมตตา นับเป็นพระมหากรุณาธิคุณสุดที่จะพรรณนา ซึ่งทหารทุกคน ล้วนเทิดทูนพระองค์เหนือเกล้าด้วยจงรักภักดี ในมหามงคลสมัยเฉลิมพระชนมพรรษา ๗ รอบ ๕ ธันวาคม ๒๕๕๔ กองทัพไทยจึงจัดทำ�หนังสือ “ภูมิพลบรมราชาธิราช จอมทัพไทย” ขึ้น เพื่อเฉลิมพระเกียรติ เผยแพร่พระบรมเดชานุภาพ พระอัจฉริยภาพ และพระปรีชาสามารถ ตลอดจนพระมหากรุณาธิคุณที่มีต่อทหารและกองทัพไทย ให้เป็นที่ประจักษ์แก่มหาชน ทุกหมู่เหล่า ทั้งจะได้นำ�ไปเป็นแนวทางปฏิบัติเพื่อมุ่งประโยชน์แก่ส่วนรวม ดำ�เนินตามรอยพระยุคลบาทสืบไป กองทพั ไทยขอนอ้ มจติ อญั เชญิ คณุ พระศรรี ตั นตรยั และสรรพสงิ่ ศกั ดสิ์ ทิ ธใิ์ นสากลโลกโปรดอภบิ าลรกั ษา พระบาทสมเดจ็ พระเจา้ อยู่หวั ภมู พิ ลอดลุ ยเดช องคจ์ อมทพั ไทย ผทู้ รงพระคุณอันประเสริฐ ให้ทรงพระเกษมสำ�ราญ ปราศทุกข์นิราศภัย พระเกียรติคุณและพระบารมีแผ่ไพศาล สถิตในสิริมไหศวรรยราชสมบัติ เป็นพระมิ่งขวัญมงคล แก่พสกนิกรและประเทศไทยตลอดกาล ขอจงทรงพระเจริญยิ่งยืนนาน เทอญ กองบัญชาการกองทัพไทย 6 H.M. Foreword Since H.M. King Bhumibol Adulyadej was crowned King of Thailand, He has been the Highest Commander of the Royal Thai Armed Forces. His Majesty has demonstrated and transformed Thotsaphit-rachadharmma or the ten kingly virtues into constitutional principles and practice. He has lived His Accession Oath throughout the period of His reign. His Majesty has worked very hard and dedicated himself to His people with persistence and perseverance for the sake of public interest and the security of the nation. He is interested in all military disciplines, which can clearly be seen from His royal thoughts, policy, and royal guidance that have been adopted as guidelines by the military. In addition, He has also expressed his concerns and encouragement to the military with compassion. Owing to this, the military is profoundly grateful to our beloved king and highly respects him with great loyalty. To celebrate the Seventh Cycle Birthday Anniversary of H.M. King Bhumibol Adulyadej on 5th December 2011, the book entitled “H.M. King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Highest Commander of the Royal Thai Armed Forces” is published by the Royal Thai Armed Forces to commemorate this auspicious occasion and honour our most beloved king, to disseminate to the general public the royal talents and ingenuity as well as his generosity to the military, the Royal Thai Armed Forces and Thai people. Thai people and military have taken the King’s philosophy and practices, and integrated them into our daily life for the sake of greater public interest. The Royal Thai Armed Forces pray for the blessing of the Triple Gems and all sacred entities to protect and guard H.M. King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the Highest Commander of the Royal Thai Armed Forces with happiness, good health, and free from perils. May His glory and might be widely recognized far and beyond, with prosperous reign to forever remain our most beloved and revere King.
