164 Additional Parts of A Computer 1. Scanner : It helps to copy pictures or letter on to the computer. 2. Printer : It helps to take printouts of the information shown on the monitor. 3. Speakers: It helps to hear sound. 4. Modem : It helps to connect the computer to the websites through internet and to send e-mails. Sometimes we need to take print out of the matter shown on the monitor. Sometimes we need to speak to someone away. Sometimes we need to copy some pictures or letters on to the computer. 166 Using the Keyboard Enter There are different types of keys on the keyboard. Look at the above picture to see the parts of the Keyboard. In the middle part there are letter keys with letter A to Z. On the top row we have number keys and signs. Signs like title _, +, (, ), and an arrow which is called backspace. On the right you have a set of keys they include delete, enter, shift, page up & down and arrow keys help to scroll typed matter, up, down, left or right. At the bottom there is the space bar to provide space between words while typing. On the left there are keys for shift and capital lock. This helps to type capital letters whenever we need.
