V.Sugumaran President of SSIOM STUDENTS, teachers and educators! What do you mean by education? What type of education should you have? What kind of education will set an ideal? What is the outcome of education? One must enquire deeply, investigate and get the right answer to these questions. People feel that education helps in materialistic pursuits and rest content with this. This is a not a right attitude. Education should promote culture. It is not by education alone but by culture that one gets refined. Culture promotes refinement. It is termed as saṃ skāra which consists of sadguña (good character), sadāchāra (good practices) and sadbhāvanā (good feelings). For a person to be deemed educated, his behaviour should be good, his actions useful to society and his feelings should be compassionate and kind. \"Sarvabhūta Hite Ratah\" (One should have concern for the welfare of all beings).Benedictory address to the Convocation of the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning on 22- 11-1994. My humble pranaams at the lotus feet of our beloved Guru and God Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Taking cue of the above message from Swami at 1994 Convocation of the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, we can summarise the essence of education as follows: i) Education should promote culture, where one gets refined. Value of gold becomes manifold, once refined into proper ornaments like necklace. Similarly education that “cultures” a person becomes of high value. ii) The result of good education upon a person is his or her behaviour and actions are seen in his or her good culture, good practices and good feelings. One who is well behaved in the public and privately is a truly educated person. He or she uses his or her talent for the good of the society and thus for oneself. The truly educated person would be a compassionate person. The educated person is always happy and peaceful who would be able to accept all happenings as a gift from God. The person would always endeavour in whatever undertakings to completion. He or she never gives up in life. The above pointers would be a good guide to all educators when they are given the opportunity to mould a child who comes to them. That is our duty and opportunity given by Swami to help c unleash cultured youth into the society. I take this opportunity to thank all the SSE teachers who have tirelessly and lovingly taught the children all these years and now they would be graduating after going through SSE education for 11 years. You have played an important role in the children’s life and you are indeed blessed. Similarly I thank all the Sai Baba Centres and its committee members who had created the “space” and “environment” for these children all these years. My thanks also goes to all the Education coordinators be it at the Centre, State or National level who have worked out the programmes, activities and lesson plan for the SSE children. It would be not complete if I do not mention the role of the Sathya Sai Academy and its members, and the Vice President of Education and her team for their loving, sincere hard work through the years for the sake of these children. Finally on behalf of the Sathya Sai Internaional Organisation of Malaysia, I would like to congratulate all our children who would be the 2019 graduates. SSIOM shall continue with its effort to make it as a life-long school of learning where the process of Educare continues in the youth and adult wings. We hope more graduates will continue to serve the organisation in whichever way they deem suitable so that their lives are always sanctified with the grace of Swami in all facets of life. My only prayers and wish for the 2019 graduates is that they always remember Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba and his teachings with gratitude. This remembrance would translate into action in everyday life of the graduates. Swami is your guide and your true and real friend in your life. May you all be successful in your life and exhibit Swami’s teachings in everyday life as a Cultured Person. Thank You and Jai Sai Ram

Professor Ts. Dr. Murali Raman CEO Sathya Sai Academy for Human Values My Humble Pranams to The Lotus Feet of Bagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba,Respected Elders, Brothers, Sisters, Parents and My Beloved Graduating Students,Aum Sri Sai Ram. 2020 has been a historic year indeed for Malaysia and the world in general. We have never witnessed such a massive and unprecedented pandemic that continues to impact humanity. The Covid-19 only reaffirms how connected we are as a global community. Admittedly, the pandemic has brought about devastating consequences to the global economy and has changed our social lifestyle. On a positive note though, the pandemic has taught us to become more resilient—seeking alternative ways to continue living and playing a part in society. Lockdowns and various forms of Movement Control Orders, have led us to rethink the way in which we work, transact, engage with families, and continue our regular activities. In the Sai-front, we continue to witness innovative ways being used to continue our Sadhana and outreach programs. Our Gurus have shown their dedication and determination to continue the SSE classes using online deliver methods. Covid-19 has impacted all of us in some way, but Swami continues to give us the strength and courage to remain resilient in our quest for material comforts and spiritual transformation. Despite very channeling circumstances, the Academy is pleased to witness another batch of students graduating from our SSE program, thanks to the sheer dedication of our Gurus, commitment of our parents, and diligence of our graduating class. The convocation ceremony this year is historic as it is conducted virtually. The event platform may be different—the goal of the Academy remains the same. We aspire to produce graduates who are ‘holistic’—graduates that are able to balance between worldly pursuits and spiritual transformation. Apart from supporting the SSE classes using ‘new normal standards’ the Academy is also proud with its other outreach programs such as ROSE, LIGHT, LOTUS, Parentcare, DARTS, ViP etc. that continue to transform the lives of so many people. To our graduating class, we do hope that you will continue to live lives that are value-laden. Share your knowledge gained through the SSE program with family and friends. Remain guided through the values that Swami has given you. Use them as a moral compass in facing the various challenges that life throws at you. Understand that each one of you are unique and special. You are ‘value warriors’ who have been carefully chosen by the Lord, to play a significant role in society. We also encourage you to come back and serve your respective centers. Take on leadership roles, make an impact, use the talent within you to inspire and serve others. Remember Swami has said, “If you lift the had to serve, to help, to console, to encourage another, you are lifting it for God, because, in every Man, is God”. Youth can transform youth, and in this context, you are very powerful change agents in society. Finally, the Academy expresses its utmost appreciation to all our stakeholders—parents, children, Gurus, and Centre Leadership in making sure that the SSE classes continues, despite very challenging circumstances as mentioned. We would like to also thank the Organizing Committee for very innovatively giving us an e- Convocation this year. Swami, we pray that You continue to shower us with your infinite love. Thank You and Jai Sai Ram

SSATHHYAA SSAAII AACCADEEMMYY FFOORR HUUMMAAN VAALLUEESS The Early Years The Sathya Sai Central Council of Malaysia (SSCCM) is a non-sectarian and non-profit NGO devoted to promoting human values and charitable services. In line with its objectives, this organization has been conducting Education in Human Values (EHV) classes throughout Malaysia. In 2004, the Sathya Sai Educare Academy for Human Values was founded by the Education Wing of the Council. EHV classes were carried out with carefully structured value-based programs. These programs, consolidated under the “Sathya Sai Educare Academy” provided free training and educational opportunities to children, youth, and adults nationwide in imbibing human values. The Philosophy “End of education is character”… this is the underlying philosophy and driving principle of the Academy. The programmes combine five teaching techniques and are scientifically developed by educators and curriculum experts through the years. Our programmes cater primarily towards the blossoming of the five domains of human personality. These programmes are geared at self- development through changing of attitudes, unlearning negativity and re-learning facets of positivism among others. These combined with education will unlock the springs of goodness that are within each individual and provide them with the competitive edge and desired excellence in the material world as well as the spiritual world.

The Target Audience & Costs The operations of the Academy are in keeping with the vision of SSCCM which is… “An organization dedicated to fostering and promoting Human Values at all levels . of society for self -development and nation building” therefore targets the following: To train children, youth and adults from all walks of life for self-development; To train the trainers from all organizations and institutions to administer these programmes across Malaysia for nation building. All training and educational programmes are conducted by trained individuals cost-free. Therefore, participants and participating institutions bear no cost with the exception of food and accommodation

Sathya Sai Academy For Human Values In 2013 the Academy became a registered body, due to the overwhelming cry from the public to address the deterioration of values in society as evidenced by increasing reports seen in media outlets, the council officially formed the Sathya Sai Academy for Human Values Berhad under the auspices of the Sathya Sai International Organization of Malaysia (SSIOM). The programmes were re-organized under 9 flagships. The details are as follows :- Educare -Human Values programme Trained volunteers teach children aged 6-15 from local communities weekly for 2 hours. It occurs weekly after a 2 day camp to strengthen their S.H.A.K.T.I. Previous training results were encouraging resulting in invitations to address similar institutions.

–Educare HeLP The academy is also fostering a group of experts in the field of health to provide greater evidence to associate attitude and health. The HeLP sessions help increase the awareness of participants to lead a healthier lifestyle and the means to achieve these through both traditional practices as well as nutritional facts. Exemplary Gurus Award

NAGENDRAN PAKRISAMY It is indeed an honour to write about the legendary southern-superstar of Taman Daya Sai Centre, our dearest Uncle Nagendran. The nominee, fondly called as Uncle Nagendran by the old and young aged 77, hails from Ipoh but started his journey as a Sai devotee in Johor. We strongly feel that he deserves the exemplary Guru Award because he is truly a committed and dedicated teacher besides being a self-motivated and organized teacher. He holds strong to the teachings of Swami, i.e. Love all and Serve All. His devotion to swami and his mission is unflinching as his actions speak volumes on Swami’s teachings. If there is one youth who remains youthful in his heart though aged, that’s none other than Uncle Nagendran. He loves children a lot and he loves teaching them even more. Without fail, he arrives ½ hour earlier before the class begins. Rain or the scorching sun never hindered him from reaching the centre on his bicycle as he believes in waiting for the children and not vice versa. Bhajans, Thevaram, Mahabaratha Ramayana, and value-based stories and service are his assets. Age was never a barrier for him to carry out any task or learning new things in order to teach the children. His wonderful rapport with people of all ages especially children enhances his ability to connect with the children. Being a very versatile person, he takes extra responsibility in organizing SSE programs and he also would be one of the first to volunteer for any service activity, let it be in the centre or outside with his hospital visits and without fail leading Thaipusam seva. Above all, at the age of 77, he still leads as a samithi bhajan singer. His willingness to learn new bhajans and maintaining his voice to serve swami truly touches every one of us. Last but not least, he accomplishes all the task with great initiative, love, and a positive attitude. One couldn’t agree more if I am to say that Uncle is truly a guiding light and stands as a guidepost to many who comes seeking refuge at thy lotus feet in the Sai Organisation. We pray that Swami continues to shower His grace upon him. Jai Sai Ram

SANTA LETCHIMI A/P M K SAMY NAIDU Sis Santa started as a parent of Balvikas students in the 80s. She was very keen on learning and got her children to follow everything that was taught. This observation encouraged the Balvikas coordinator to invite her to become a teacher. She is extremely loving and has a special talent for dealing with the tiny tots. That naturally inherent quality is also the reason why she runs a preschool. Teaching the group 1 and taught them she did for decades. Nevertheless, as her children grew, Sis Shanta mastered the lessons in the other groups as well. Long before the Central council started the Balvikas guru training camps, Johor Bahru Centre had carried out camps where Sis Shanta was facilitating and conducting sessions. A dedicated teacher, she keeps the children excited with spellbinding stories; be it from the Ramayana or Chinna Katha. She is a genuine person who constantly thinks of her students and strives to give her best. She is always seen encouraging children in any situation and hardly ever raises her voice in a harsh tone. Speaking softly and sweetly is one code of conduct that she adheres to. She has a wonderful sense of humour and everyone (teachers and kids) loves her. The snacks she brings for the children and teachers, disappear within seconds, a testament to her motherly love that she showers on all her Balvikas children. During the MCO period, a very challenging time for many as face to face classes ceased, she stepped up and learned from the younger teachers to conduct online classes. A perfect example that age is not a factor to stop someone from learning; she continues to teach with the same vigor and love. Jai Sai Ram

GIRIJA MENON Sis Girija Menon was born and brought up in Kerala. She graduated in English Literature, upon her marriage she moved to Malaysia in 1983 and has been a homemaker since then. She started teaching Balvikas as a trainee teacher in the year 1990 and continues till today serving dedicatedly. Sis Girija Menon has been an awe-inspiring Guru, words can’t elaborate her contributions, passion, and Love towards grooming children across her 30 years of teaching experience, she is in fact an invaluable asset to our centre and nation. She is truly an exemplary Guru handpicked by our beloved Swami. She has been very vital in teaching manthras, shlokas, Bhaja Govindam, Gita Shlokas etc. with correct pronunciation and enunciation. In addition to that, her knowledge in the significance/meaning of these ancient hymns are immense that she is able to deliver it so well to the children to their level of understanding. Henceforth, she is now a trainer of the aspiring younger Gurus. Due to her in-depth spiritual knowledge, she also leads the spiritual wing of SSBC Ampang observing all festivals, study circles, satsanghs and STP classes, bringing out the essence and significance of these activities to the best of her ability, for the transformation of devotees. Being technologically savvy has motivated her progress in learning and incorporating new techniques in teaching, she learns to teach and teaches to learn; everything motivates her to progress and know more. Her motherly and friendly nature makes her highly popular among her SSE students. Graduated SSE children of many years ago still stay connected with her and have very high reverence towards her. She is very open minded, receptive to ideas and changes, makes wise decisions, able to work very well with everyone, and has been a great pillar of support to the SSE wing in the centre, state and nation. She is very jovial, calm, and composed by nature that attracts many individuals towards her in times of happiness and troubles. She is a great listener and motivator. She is an excellent chanter and a bhajan singer, creative, neat and tidy, very well organized, punctual, follows instructions and delivers all duties to the best of her ability as an offering to Swami. Her dedication as Swami’s teacher is truly to be admired and emulated. She is a mother to two successful sons and daughters-in-law and a beautiful homemaker of their little family of six, serving along with her husband, Bro. Shanthan Menon, who has been her great pillar of support in her journey within the Sai fraternity. Jai Sai Ram

Sis Parameswari’s primary education was in Sekolah Rendah Kebangsaan Guru Nanak Ipoh, Perak. Sis Parameswari got married on 29th January 1990 to Mr Rajendran Kolandan and blessed with 7 children; 5 boys and 2 girls. Sis Parameswari has been a great devotee and sevak of swami and not just an SSE guru. She first started serving in Seremban Centre way back in the 90’s when the centre was in Rasah Jaya and was trained and mentored by Sis Chandrika Nair (Former Negeri Sembilan State Education Coordinator). She used to travel weekly to Seremban from Nilai with her 5 children that included a newborn baby just so that her children can attend the weekly SSE classes and she in turn taught the younger students. Her dedication as a guru was awe-inspiring as she gave her all towards any Sai projects. When the Nilai bhajan unit was formed, sis Parameswari started SSE classes there and she continues to give her best towards this centre even during the MCO period where she put a lot of effort in learning online methods and media just to teach SSE kids through online classes. Now her children follow her footsteps in helping any Sai projects and also teaching group 4 SSE classes in Nilai Bhajan Unit. She also has contributed a great deal to inter-faith projects conducted at state level as well as state Educare carnivals. The go-green project and big walk that was held at Dataran Nilai at state level would not have materialized if not for her effort. Her contributions and dedication to all – both Sai and non-sai are indeed noteworthy. She is also an active member of the Hindu Sangam and has helped many a destitute in finding a home. Graduates Class of 2019

ABBHILASH By attending the SSE/SSEHV classes, it SIVANANTHAN has helped me to reengineer myself positively and made me become a better person. I have learned to not only become more confident in myself but to also train myself to think out of the box in any given situation. I have developed a better character for myself and have gained information about the five human values which are love, righteousness, peace, non- violence, and truth. Last but not least, since I attended the SSE/SSEHV classes I was always surrounded by good company which allowed me to cultivate good qualities. My contribution to the Sathya Sai International Organization is by helping out in any events organized by the centre and by attending service projects. SSEHV classes have equipped me ANUSHA A/P well enough to face a world that KANDHAVEL has thrown me a lot of challenges. They also taught me how to handle critical situations in a dharmic way. SSEHV classes have taught me to treat everyone equally as Sai is in everyone. After my graduation, I would like to pass all my knowledge gained throughout my Sai journey to the next generation as a teacher in the centre.

ARVIN A/L Sai Ram. I had attended the SSE programme for 7 years. The ARJUNA SSE Programme has benefited me in many ways. It has helped me in my growth towards my spiritual and personal life. After attending the SSE programme, I have learnt to carry out prayer sessions and about Gods. From this, I have realised the importance of God's creation. I am also able to teach my siblings to carry out prayer sessions at home. Then, I have also learnt to respect my parents. Parents are the most important people in our lives. Having their blessings are one of the many important things to have a wonderful life. Other than that, I have also learnt to respect my teachers and gurus. They gave us an education on our spiritual life and social life. We should not forget their services in our life. Moreover, the SSE programme has taught me human values such as truth, righteousness, peace, love and non-violence. Swami has said 'End of education is the character’. So, I have built my character to be a true human being. The SSE Programme helps me to recognise the Divinity that is inherent in me. Moreover, I have also learnt to do service to society. As Swami said, Seva (selfless service) can be identified by means of two basic characteristics: compassion and willingness to sacrifice. I am ready to do service for our society as a contribution to the SSIO after graduation. I would love to contribute to the SSIO after graduation in many ways. I would like to help conduct cultural events and activities in the centre. Then, I would also like to join social activities such as blood donation and visiting the old folks home.I would also like to be involved in spreading awareness and inspiring my actions on environmental issues that are affecting our planet today. This program has benefited me in many ways. From the beginning until the end I have learned a lot of values and how to react when a problem arises in my life. Whenever I'm in trouble I won't be scared to face A R V I N K U M A R it because I have learned to face them and I have learned that everything happens for a reason. I know S / O J A Y A K U M A R what makes me feel down now, and this factor will help me grow in the future. This program has also helped me build a leadership quality in me to rise. I am a part of the organizing committee that organizes the weekly session in the Kedah. We usually have satsangs, games, and weekly bhajans through an online platform. We came up with this idea because of the movement control order, where a lot of the devotees couldn’t go to centers every week as they usually do. I am proud that I'm able to organize those programs with the guidance of the brothers and sisters in this organization. This is how this program has benefited me and I am ready to participate more and do more for the organization. Thank you. Jai Sai Ram

This program has benefited me because the teachers that have taught us about Swami’s lessons, where the most important one would be the five human values which are peace, love, truth, non-violence and right conduct. I have also learnt to be good, how to speak good and to think before we talk because it might hurt others. CHIA JUN FENG I have been a Swami's devotee since I DANES RAO A/L was a small boy. So, I have always RAVINDRAN tried to follow Swami's teachings in my life, in any situation. There was a day where my teacher taught me about life and that's the day I really wanted to succeed and make my parents and friends proud. The term, “YOLO” (you only live once) means to enjoy every moment in our life. When our centre organized a service project, I was forced to join because of my mom, and I helped the needy. But there was a particular lady with so much of love and happiness in her smile at me and she said thank you. At that particular moment, I remembered why Swami asked us to \"Help Ever Hurt Never\".

DANUSSHA A/P Balvikas has benefited me in various ways. THARMALINGAM One of the best benefits was that I got to meet many new people whom I call them as family. I did not only get the opportunity to meet new people from my centre but I got to meet people from different centres and states as well. Balvikas was definitely the main reason for who I am today.I can now talk in front of a crowd with no fear, and that’s thanks to balvikas. The activities we had during classes boosted my self- confidence. I have also started to gain a lot of knowledge about different religions through Balvikas. Group 4 classes have definitely given me the strength to face the real world as well. I will continue being a guru in my centre and participate in seva activities. I would also continue my journey in my yuvathi team. The SSEHV programme has played a DARIKA SHREE A/P significant part in molding my character DHANA SHEKAR and has helped me face difficult situations in a better manner. This is because of the lessons that I've learnt that are extremely valuable and have been deeply imbibed in me. I'm truly grateful to Swami as well as my Gurus for guiding me throughout my years as a SSEHV student. Moreover, the SSEHV classes has given me an opportunity to connect with more people and gain more good company which will also benefit me in the long run. Most importantly, it is only through my SSEHV classes that I got to befriend the best and most loving friend that everyone wants, who is Swami. The way in which I would like to contribute to SSIO would be, being a SEHV guru in my centre. This is a role which makes me more responsible as I certainly have to practice first, before teaching the kids. This would be my humble attempt to contribute to the SSIO.

My journey through this SSE program for 11 years has made me a better person indeed. My life has changed a lot and made me realize what reality is. Sathya Sai Education has taught not only education in human values but also the meaning and insights of life in everyone. As a Sai student for 11 years, I would like to contribute to my centre as an assistant guru for the SSE classes as I would love to share my experiences and knowledge that D A R I S H S A I H A R I had been taught by my gurus and pass it A / L P A T M A N A T H A N down to the upcoming generation which could be an aid in changing their lives in comparison to mine. Being a balvikas student has been one of my DARSHINNI A/P biggest blessings in life. I started attending SARAVANAN Balvikas classes from the age of 9 and ever since, it has only been a journey of self growth. Since young, I have always wanted to know more about our Hindu Mythology. No doubt that by attending balvikas classes I have got the opportunity to learn and understand various mythological stories narrated by our gurus such as the Ramayana, Mahabharata and many more. Not only that, by being a balvikas student, I have also learnt how to be more kind, loving and lead a life of value just like how Swami wants his students to. To be able to graduate from balvikas gives me so much joy and I am sure that I will try my best to serve not only in the centre but also to the community. I will also try my best to take part as well as help carry out the activities planned out by the Youths and the organisation.I have always believed that being a Balvikas student has shaped me into the person I am today and the least I can do is to show gratitude and to give back to my centre by helping and taking part in the activities.

DASHINI A/P Although I may have not been in Balvikas for long, I RAMACHANDREN have learnt a lot of valuable lessons from it. I joined Balvikas since I was 10 but my presence in class was very low and during that time, I had trouble with the timings of classes which made me stop. After a few years, I finally found the time to go back to Balvikas, in 2018 when I was 16 years old. If I were to sum up my journey in Balvikas, it has changed my life for good. I was given the chance by Swami to do things which nobody has ever done before , from going for the Yatra at Parthi, I felt truly blessed. Sometimes I wonder if I deserve this but I know lucky chances don't come twice and we should grab it when it's in front of you. When I first found out that in order to graduate I needed 5 years of experience in Balvikas, I felt like all my past activities were a waste. However, I did not regret it as I loved making new friends , helping people and mingling around. But when I found out I was not qualified I was sad and devastated. I kept my chin up and congratulated my friends who were qualified. Now after receiving this opportunity I must say I am fully blessed and to be honest I don't think I truly deserve this but I know deep down in my heart all my effort and time has paid off. Now finally I can graduate alongside my friends and family . My contribution would be to join more seva activities and teach all the good values to people around me. I would like to share my positivity and happiness with everyone. My Humble Pranams to the lotus feet of DAYANAND A/L our beloved Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai K.KERBANATHAN Baba. I have been in this wonderful and thoughtful organization for the last 14 years. The teachings I have learnt are the ways for me to connect with God and how to actually understand the real meaning of Sai. In the beginning stages, I wasn't a firm believer of Sai, but as years passed, I started believing and contributing to Sai as it means alot to me since the year 2006. After my graduation I will contribute as a teacher and it is time for me to share my knowledge since I've learned a lot.

DHURGASHINY Sai Ram! Over my many years of attending ANANTHARAJAH SSE/SSEHV classes, I have been blessed with bountifulness of knowledge which has moulded the person I am today. From listening to the many stories from our many Hindu scriptures and learning the minute spiritual symbols which we subconsciously practice every day, the SSE classes have laid a solid foundation for me to grow and flourish in life. One particular story which stuck by me was the tale of Karna. His selflessness, love and loyalty are qualities I try my best to embody, doing all I can to serve those seeking my help, regardless of their nature. Although this story was narrated to us as young children, the morals behind this story have stuck and evolved with me over the years. As I moved up to join Group 4 classes, my peers and the akkas have challenged my opinions and broadened my perspective, allowing me to connect and empathise with opinions polar to mine. This skill has allowed me to expand my social boundaries and connect and share with those with very different views without the fear of being judged or ostracised. The supportive and non-judgemental environment provided me with the space to grow to be the confident and vocal person I am today. Now as I have completed my years in EHV, I wish to provide that same environment to my younger sisters, challenging them whilst respecting all their individual opinions. I also wish to join the youth programs my centre has to offer. am today. One of the greatest lessons that I EVENDRA RAO have learned from this programme would be, SUBRAMANIAM to always try and impress yourself. Do your very best to be better than your former self. Do everything with a missionary zeal to make the quantum change in our lives. Moreover, I have learned to find joy in everything and reflect kindness and compassion to people from all walks of life. I have been taught how to be calm and keep a cool head in any situation, and if met with both triumph and disaster, treat both imposters just the same. More than that, I have learned not to take myself too seriously. These are some of the countless lessons I cherish and have benefited me in many ways. It has made me a better person and I have shared these lessons with many of my colleagues, where they appreciate my work and admire my qualities. This wouldn’t have been possible without this programme. I am grateful to Swami for blessing me with this opportunity, and I wish I will have His blessings to spread love and peace to others.

HARINI A/P Sai Ram. The SSE program has profited me KIRUSNAN so much that now, I can voice out what I feel and observe various sentiments with alternate points of view. The values that I have learnt have taught me how to make the correct choice. I can feel the diversity after coming for SSE classes. There’s an immense change in me. These days, it's difficult to see great individuals, and I am happy that I have gotten the hang of something significant. I could contribute to the SSIO after my graduation and I will consistently be dependable to this SSIO who will show me the beneficial things. Thank you and Jai Sai Ram. The SSIO has helped in developing and HARISH nurturing myself into someone I didn't know DAMODARAN NAIR I could turn into. I've learned many skills in my life and social life at the same time and met great people who I will always regard as family. It is thanks to the SSIO that I can finally work with other people, make new friends and learn to differentiate between the good and the bad. At the end of my senior years, I decided to give back to the community by participating in as much as events and activities that are held by them as a sign of support and even helped coordinate similar events to educate the younger ones just as how the gurus have done for me back then. Even after my graduation, the SSIO organization will always be in a special place in my heart and I will try my best to help around and support it until the very end.

As a young adult, I would say that SSE classes have benefited me in many ways. Firstly, it has taught me how to respect others. As the saying says, give respect, take respect. This saying applies to everyone because when you respect one, you'll automatically be respected by others. I have not only learnt that, but I have also learnt to cultivate humility, practice ceiling on desires and render selfless service. This has taught me how to control my desires which practically makes me a better person automatically. Lastly, I would say, I have learnt to inculcate habits of discipline and self- H A Y A G R E E V A R A M discipline to be the masters of my mind and not slaves and have absolute control over sense RAGHUPATHY organs. I would say I am way more disciplined now compared to before after learning that being disciplined is the key to one’s success. The contribution that I can give is I would volunteer in my free time. From being a student of Sai for about JAHRAN RAAJ 12-13 years, Sai Education has given MURUGAN me a different perspective on how I view things around the world. It has taught me how to be kind and humble. Growing up as a playful child, I was never well-disciplined myself until I started joining Balvikas classes. Since then, I started respecting my parents for bringing me up in this world, my teachers for giving me this education and Swami for his teachings in life. Thus, the SSE/SSEHV programme benefited me in my self- development.

KAASHMEERA I have been in Balvikas for more than 10 years, DARSHINI A/P which makes it 14 years this year. There are a lot of things I have benefited from balvikas. One PREMNATH most obvious benefit is that I got to meet a lot of people from different schools and states. I used to be scared to talk to people and I used to be very quiet and timid. But ever since I joined this programme I started to open up more. I learnt how to be confident in front of people and I learnt how to love and be loved by people. Everyone I met on the programme has become my second family. I never thought I would make friends who became my family. One takeaway message I would say during my 14 years in Balvikas is the confidence to stand for myself and speak my point out. The contribution I would give to the SSIO after my graduation is that I would like to join more seva activities and be active in this program. SSE/SSEHV programme has benefited me in many KALAIVAANIY A/P ways. Firstly, SSE/SSEHV programme has boosted up SAKTHIVELU my self-confidence, instilled leadership qualities in me and improved my communication skills with others. Besides that, I have learnt many good values and lessons from my EHV classes which I could put into practice in my daily life. For example, I have learnt that we should always help others, love others selflessly and we should not hurt anyone. Moreover, I have also learnt to be more cooperative, interactive and respect other people's opinions when we are working in groups. Apart from that, I have also gained many new friends, brothers, sisters and also new experiences through the SSE/SSEHV programme. This programme had also constantly kept connecting me with Swami and had given me the golden opportunity to do selfless service by participating in many seva projects. After my graduation, I can contribute to the SSIO by volunteering myself to be an assistant Balvikas teacher and conduct the EHV classes. I can help the balvikas teachers by preparing the handouts for the students, teach and also guide the students if they don't understand something. Besides that, I will volunteer to become a facilitator for the upcoming EHV camps that will be organised by SSIO. I will also try to participate more in the seva projects organised by SSSIO. Moreover, I will encourage teen youths to participate more in the programmes organised by SSIOM.

KARTHIANI Sai Ram. At Desa Mentari, Uncle Rajan created the PARASSU SSBC at our flat to grow upcoming kids with moral values which are SATYA, DHARMA, PREMA, SHANTI and AHIMSA. When I joined the classes, I was 8. From these lessons, I learned that no matter what, you just need a few people to help you in that situation. Furthermore, my parents forced me to attend the classes, bhajans and all the activities which were organised. I learned a lot of moral values through the activities of my Guru’s, Bro Darshan, Sis Vivitha, Sis Nadhini, Bro Nyanees, Sis Hema and Sis Kalyani who guided us through every activity. I even made a lot of friends. My Guru’s had asked us to participate in choir speaking, public speaking, talent show, storytelling and because of that I am no longer afraid to speak in front of anyone. Fortunately, I had won the first prize for storytelling and had won for public speaking and choir on the state level. Next, Bro Darshan had taught us how to sing bhajans with the right notes and had taught us how to read the Vedas and mantras with meaning. After that Bro Nyanees, who brought us to feed homeless people, animal care, blood donation. I was also taught how to grow leadership within myself. Last time I was very rude and talkative to everyone. My gurus taught me to speak lovingly to everyone. I learned to never be racist and to treat everyone equally. In addition to that, I have learned to be strong, lovely, kind, helpful, calm and a good example for all the kids. Sai Ram. After my graduation, I will indulge myself in all the programmes carried out by the SSSIO. There's a lot more for me to learn from the people in the organisation and there's no better way than involving myself in the programmes and being around people I look up to.

KESHIKHAA SHRI SSE/SSEHV has benefited me in a lot of A/P NANTHAN ways. I have learnt many things and experienced many things personally. It has LOHIDAKSHYA A/L made me come out of my shell as I was once a RISHESINGAR person who was reserved and quiet. Through the various activities hosted in class, it has made me understand different perspectives that a person could have on a topic or an issue. This skill is one that has benefited me as I needed to apply it during my classes and group projects at my university. It has also benefited me as I understood the deeper values of the various religions available around the world. This has broadened my horizon as I still live by the saying \"Love all, Serve all\" today and forever. Swami's teaching was evident in my encounters with the devotees in the centre during activities. They brought Swami's values and teachings to life. This inspired me to walk Swami's teachings in my life too. I would like to continue my journey with Sai through activities such as reaching out to the needy in terms of food, basic needs and education. I would like to do my best to ease their burden. I will continue to seek Swami's guidance and blessings.

The SSEHV programme has benefitted me from numerous points of view, were initially in changing my character. I am also able to see a situation in all kinds of perspective and also to be able to view a better outcome from a problem that I face. To compare the person from the past who I was, I have gained confidence and to love myself more. Another significant benefit I have gained is learning the true meaning behind religions, especially Hinduism. I have so many questions about our religion and have always wanted to understand them. Balvikas has definitely helped me understand how religion is actually a symbol displaying values and a divine lifestyle. After my graduation, I hope to become a Balvikas teacher. Besides that, I will definitely involve myself in all the charitable activities and join the Youth in organising Sai events as much as I can. I would like to help conduct cultural events and activities in the centre. Then,I would also like to join social activities such as blood donation and visiting the old folks home.I would also like to be involved in spreading awareness and inspiring my actions on environmental issues that’s affecting our planet today. Thanks to SSE classes, I am whomever I RADHA SAI D/O am today. Being an SSE student has RAVIVARMA @ changed my outlook on life and evidently DURGALU made me a more evolved person. Every weekend meant SSE classes and it also meant bringing back valuable lessons home to put into practice. More importantly, it served as a weekly reminder to reflect on my thoughts, words, and deeds; thus constant efforts are made to improve myself for the better. Attending SSE classes also meant that I am exposed to centre activities and feeling naturally drawn to take part in them. That's exactly what I want to do after graduation. I would gladly dedicate my time and energy to contribute to the organization specifically under the education wing for the wellbeing of the society. Jai Sairam.

RANJANA A/P I have learned many lessons during RAJARETHINAM SSE/SSEHV which is very useful for my future. I have learned self-discipline, time management, services and many more. These lessons led my life to a better one. I started to control my anger and emotions by practising meditation in my daily life. Not only that, I have learned Vedas, mantras and bhajans which can connect my soul with GOD. I will try to contribute to the SSSIO in the ways I can. For example, I will join as a volunteer and participate in the activities and programmes, teach others about Sathya Sai Baba’s lessons, and many more. Every child born must be gifted to attend RITES SSEHV classes. I started attending these GANANATHAN A/L classes at the age of 7 at SSBC Ipoh Garden. I feel privileged to share my SANTHANATHAN experiences regarding SSBC classes. I personally enjoyed going to these classes during the weekends. We do a lot of beneficial, fun and loving activities such as games, chanting slokas, enacting plays and listening to great religious stories which were amazing. I really enjoyed the stories narrated by Balvikas gurus and I still remember and cherish them till today. The SSEHV classes instilled a lot of moral values in me which has been useful in my life today. As a young adult, I would like to join the centre Seva activities whenever I can. By doing this, I am contributing back to the society by instilling the values Swami has taught us. I thank Swami for making me a part of his wonderful education system.

RUSHILL A/L I personally know that SSBC has guided me MARIMUTHU towards the positive path by differentiating between the real world and how and whom to make friends with. It has also built my character by implementing respect towards the elders and how I should always be kind to humans and even animals. My way of contributing would be to join any seva that needs my help and help in any way I can to divide the work and reduce the burden on the older uncle and aunties. As I have matured, my perception of SAAJHAYRAO A/L the benefits I derived from SSE has KUMARA RAO changed my life. I was initially unable to put the information received into my life because I lacked the awareness to live consciously. In the world we live in today, it is an advantage for us to understand other cultures. SSE has provided me with some of the skills to evolve my own principle. It has promoted an interest in the world, an understanding of other belief systems, and it has reduced my prejudice. SSE has shown me how similar religions are.

SAI NETESH RAO Overall the SSE program has changed my life A/L RAMA RAO for the better and has helped me shape myself into a new person. In the beginning, it was hard to understand the deeper meaning of the lessons but as time passed in and with the help of my gurus eventually, I could somewhat at least scratch the surface. One’s spiritual journey at the beginning is never easy and everlasting, as I myself still am learning but we should have the commitment and the willpower as well the willingness to have an open mind and heart to learn. The way that I would contribute is that I would pass on this new-found knowledge that I have to the youths and continue to learn from the wise. Sai Ram. I had attended the SSE programme for 5 years. SAILESHNAIR A/L The SSE Programme has benefited me in many ways. It S.BASKARAN has helped me in my growth towards my spiritual and personal life. Swami has said 'End of education is character’. SANCHITA A/P My experience in SSE wasn't just a life-changing VINAYAGAM experience for me. It opened my eyes to the unique beauty and strength within myself. I love the classes and received so much knowledge on spirituality that I did not expect. I've been going to classes for almost 11 years now. I can't express enough how much value is in this work. With the help of the gurus, I was able to overcome many obstacles that have disrupted my life in so many ways. A great teacher won't teach you how to be great or give you the answers to happiness in life but will help you see that only you can find the answers and only you can achieve the goals you aspire or even realize what you already have and to be content with it. With SSE, I found a whole community of people who share a passion for developing a connection with God. Not only do we share the same passion we also have developed a beautiful relationship called FRIENDSHIP. SSE has given me uncountable beautiful memories that I would like to cherish till the end. One way I wish to contribute to the SSSIO after I graduate is to involve myself in Seva activities held by SSSIO and hopefully become a facilitator just like my Sai brothers and sisters. Thank you, Sai for choosing me. The SSE programme has benefited me in so SANDHYA many ways. Firstly, through this SSE DARSHINI programme, I have learned how to discipline GANESWARAN myself. I have always been an introvert when it comes to group work or speaking up in front of a crowd. But through the SSE programme, it didn’t only teach me how to be a leader but has also helped me invoke the inner leadership in me. This programme has also taught me how to surrender. By surrendering to Swami, it has helped me get a clearer view of life and the ability to discriminate between right and wrong as well as help me accept and face challenges in life with the confidence that His guidance is always present. My perspective towards life and things has changed drastically. I have learned to be calm and to not react too quickly. My way of giving back to Swami and the gurus would be by being a guru myself and teach the younger kids what I have learned. I will also attend weekly bhajans to always stay connected with Swami.

The SSE classes have helped me a lot in my daily life. It has brought a lot of benefits to me. I learned many good things from here. It was indeed a pleasure to learn a lot of things about Swami, and I think Swami’s grace led me into this Sai organisation. I am very blessed and proud to be a Sai child. SANJAY A/L GOBU The benefit I have got is, to learn SARVIND A/L more about respect, team work, time RAMANI management and more. I learned many things in it and I have learnt how to be a perfect person. Every student should enter Balvikas and learn mantras and self-responsibility. Guru’s will guide you to be a good person and teach you bhajan. I have been following the many things my Guru’s have taught me. It is useful for our future. All the parents should be encouraged to send their child/children for balvikas.

SASMITHAA A/P SSE program has led me to the right path and SARGUNAN direction throughout the journey. I came to the SSE program with little knowledge of spirituality and devotion and now I'm so glad that I've gained knowledge while graduating as a Sai student. Swami's guidance along with the teacher's knowledge has brought me here. I've learnt many life lessons and moral values which I can use daily throughout my life. Bhagawan's guidance has always been my lifesaver. After my graduation, I will try my best to participate in centre programmes and support them as much as I can. As a young adult, I will always help the centre to make all programmes a successful one with Sai in my heart. My Seva will never end towards Sai. The programme has benefited me in SASSMITHA DEVI various ways. One of the reasons, in A/P RAVINDRAN particular, is leadership, which has taught me to be independent in making my own decisions, choices and the courage to voice out my opinion. Through responsibility, is to accept my failures because we fail, we learn and we grow. To be more understanding and to not repeat what has been done. I would like to contribute to the upcoming events or projects with the aim of helping and learning. I also get involved in centre cleaning activities, in Omkaar and also assisting teen youth classes. I would also try to recruit youngsters and motivate them to get involved in campaigns and organisations to let them know that joining this team is not only about Sai education but also about maturing yourself while having fun times and unforgettable experiences.

SATHIESWARY I've learnt and gained more knowledge A/P MARUTHIAH about the Indian epic such as Ramayana and Mahabharata by attending SSE/SSEHV classes. I've also learnt that we need to serve others full-heartedly without expectation. A great lesson learnt by me when I visited the old folks home and hospital children ward, is that we need to be grateful for what we have. I came to a realisation that the main reason that we were reborn in this world is to serve the unfortunate and the needy who seek for food and living. I would like to share my benefits with other children by participating in EHV classes after my graduation. I will also participate in upcoming service activities. I've learned to be a better person and SHAALLINI A/P have started to live a meaningful life. GOPALAN Whatever I've learned in the SSE/SSEHV programme has helped me to make the right decision and choose the right path in every situation and challenge that I face in my life. The most important lesson that I've learned from the SSE/SSEHV program is \"Service to man is service to God\" and that's the reason why I love doing Seva. Whenever I do Seva full-heartedly, it gives me indescribable joy. As I am practising now, after my graduation I will be continuing my service activities no matter where I am, together with the people who have the same motive as me. I am very lucky that Swami has chosen me as His instrument to serve the community of this world. JAI SAI RAM!

SHARENYA D/O Sairam, I have benefited a lot through the KALIDASAN SSEHV programme, where I got to know about Swami. My Balvikas gurus, Uncle Madhavan and Anbu Aunty taught me since I was young. They have supported me and guided me through the SSEHV. Through group 4 teen youth class, I have really benefited a lot. I actually enjoyed and learnt a lot through group 4 classes. My gurus, Thava anne and Satisha akka have guided me in a positive way. I have become braver to face challenges in life, and I started to practice sadhanas such as being vegetarian and writing likitha japam. Thank you to all my gurus who have been with me and guide me throughout my journey in balvikas and group 4 class. I will do more service activities in the future and how I got connected more to Swami was through my first time doing service activity at an estate. I will contribute to the SSIO by doing more service activity and be more active in Sai Organisation Programmes. Thank you, Swami, for giving me this opportunity. Thank you and Jai Sai Ram. Attending SSE programmes has SHARVESH SHIVA benefitted me by making me a more SIVANESAN responsible human being. Also, the SSE programme has taught me the five human values which are truth, love, peace, right conduct and non-violence. These values have made us be more kind towards others by helping them when it is necessary. Moreover, SSE’s teaching has helped me in my academics as I am able to concentrate better during my academic lessons and this is because I make it a point to practice silent sitting before I start studying. After graduating from the SSE programme, I would love to contribute to the SSSIO by taking part in service activities organised by SSSIO as I will be able to help those in need and also meet other volunteers.

SHARVHENA A/P I personally believe that I have been exposed to SUGUNAN PILLAI such amazing companionship and knowledge at a great depth throughout my years here. The SSEHV program has taught me to realize, understand, apply and appreciate the five fundamental basic values which are Truth, Right Action, Peace, Love, and Non-Violence. With the continuous effort of the SSEHV program teachers, I’ve been able to grasp the fact that these are not mere words with arbitrary definitions. Rather, they represent realizations emanating from the depths of our being. The application of these values that I have gained through this SSEHV program has helped me grow tremendously into someone that is confident, helpful, respectful, responsible and loving to all forms of being that exist. As a SSEHV student, I can contribute to the SSSIO organization by spreading the practice of Human Values to friends, families and society through the means of education, community work and service, workplace and in daily life. The spread of these values will help build a diverse and well-balanced character that will guide society toward excellence. Hence, promoting inner peace and social harmony in the world.
