• The text: Success Story Bill Gates III is a very important person in the computer industry. He is at thehead of Microsoft Corporation which he has developed throughout the world.How did he do it? His parents, whom he learnt a lot from, taught him to work hard to succeed. When Bill was young, he read all of the World Book Encyclopedia which hefinished when he was 8. However Bill’s childhood was not all work. He practised a lot of sports,swimming, water-skiing and tennis which he enjoyed most.

He loved winning and hated losing. When Bill got older, he spent more andmore time working and playing on a computer. Before he was 20, he developed the world’s first computer language for thepersonal computer. • The text: Working for a living. Teenagers want money, and the easiest way to get money is to get a job. All adolescents either want a job or already have one. Nowadays, jobs areneeded more than ever. Everything costs money. Most of the teenagers get jobsjust for “pocket change”, so that they can just go out, buy CDs, tapes, shoes … But some of them get jobs because they need to pay for their books, phonebills, lunches, transportation and also for their tuition in order to go to the schoolof their choice. Teenagers normally take jobs that require neither a lot of thinking norphysical skills. They work simply for the paycheck. They consider that workingis a learning experience. • The text: Chelsea’s Future Prospects. I am planning to be a successful businesswoman. By the time I am 30, I hopeI will have started my own business.
