Welcome Superior General Sister Nirmalini

On 18 February 2021, the students organized a fabulous programme to welcome Sister Nirmalini, the Superior General to SHS Bahrain. The Hindi Department choreographed a Prayer dance. This was followed by several other dances, poems, songs etc. the Students Council Members also welcomed Sister and thanked her for the quality and value based Education they receive at SHS. The Senior 4’s enacted a skit titled ‘The Honest Painter’ which Sister Nirmalini thoroughly enjoyed. The programme ended with the Bahrain National Anthem and Superior General’s address.







On 8 March 2021, Junior 5, 6, Senior 1B and 3B students organized virtual assemblies to celebrate International Women’s Day. They started with an inspiring quote, ‘A women who walks in purpose doesn’t have to people or opportunities. Her light causes people and opportunities to pursue her.’ Later, the students revealed the theme of International Women’s Day ‘Choose to Challenge’ and presented speeches empowering poems, songs and inspiring videos of Jessica Cox and Queen Katwe. The assemblies concluded with the Principal and Vice –Principal’s address and the rendition of the Bahrain National Anthem.













To appraise the importance of Mothers in our lives, the school allocated Mother’s Day assemblies to the following classes - Preparatory Junior 1 and Seniors 1-3. The assemblies were organized on the 20 and 24 of March 2021. The Mothers were invited to be in the Zoom meet with their child to witness the special assemblies dedicated to them. Group songs, dances, speeches, amazing PowerPoints and Talk Shows were organized to make Mother’s Day special and memorable. Beautiful messages from Sister Armillian, Sister Jacintha and Sister Nirmalapriya wrapped up the grand celebration.

HEALTH AWARENESS DAY Senior 1 and 2 students under the guidance of Mrs. Maria Pereira organized a Health Awareness Programme. The theme was ‘Mental Stress.’ The students shared their views on Stress and how to overcome it. The Principal motivated the students to live a stress free life by planning ahead, exercising daily and looking at things in a positive way.







WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY On 26 May 2021, Senior students organized the World Environment Day Assembly.

First, the meaning of the theme ‘Biodiversity’ was explained and then an expressive skit and a song was presented. Senior 1, 2 and 3 students took an active part. The Principal, Sister Roselyn gave an inspiring message to the students.



BAHRAIN CHARTER DAY On 14 February 2021, the Arabic Department organized an Online Assembly on Bahrain Charter Day. The programme began with the Bahrain National Anthem and a reading from the Holy Quran. Later, a video was shown to demonstrate the positive effects of Bahrain’s Charter on the lives of the citizens and the residence. The informative assembly ended with the Principal’s address.
