SAMPLE1.3 Legislative and Regulatory WHS Risk Management Requirements This task requires you to access your state/territory’s work health and safety laws to determine the legislative and regulatory WHS risk management requirements that apply to your organisation’s: ▪ Hazard identification process ▪ Risk assessment process ▪ Risk control process Read the instructions carefully before proceeding. Steps to take: 1. Locate the Legislative and Regulatory WHS Risk Management Requirements template in the following pages. This template outlines the information you need to record for this assessment task. Review the instructions here as well as the contents of the Legislative and Regulatory WHS Risk Management Requirements template so you can prepare for this task. 2. Access your state/territory’s work health and safety laws, including: i. The current WHS legislation enforced in your state/territory ii. The current WHS regulation enforced in your state/territory. iii. WHS code of practice (at least one) from your state/territory that is relevant to your industry or work area (e.g. asbestos, confined spaces, construction, demolition work, electrical hazards, working from heights, etc.) Review these documents to determine the legislative and regulatory requirements and practical guidelines that apply to the following: ▪ Hazard identification ▪ Risk assessment ▪ Risk control 3. Complete the Legislative and Regulatory WHS Risk Management Requirements template by following the instructions below. i. Write your first and last name. ii.
