In the event of a tie, the higher Finals performance score determines the winner. Donald Angelica Best General Effect Award Fred Sanford Best Percussion A longtime chief judge administrator for Drum Corps Performance Award International, Donald Angelica was a nurturer of artistic Fred Sanford can be credited as a hugely influential figure growth within the drum corps community. Angelica's in the world of marching percussion, serving as a member, influences on scoring system revisions and bold stance on instructor, designer and arranger. During 12 seasons with musical and visual design experimentation, helped to mold the Santa Clara Vanguard, his drum lines captured five high the drum corps activity into the paragon of marching music percussion titles. After a battle with cancer, Sanford passed that it is today. Angelica passed away in 1987. away in 2000.
