It's 1944 and the Allies have invaded Nazi-held Europe. In Spain, Pan’s Labyrinth a troop of soldiers are sent to a remote forest to flush out the rebels. They are led by Capitan Vidal, a murdering sadist, and with him are The Devil’s Backbone his new wife Carmen and her daughter from a previous marriage, 11-year-old Ofelia. Ofelia witnesses her stepfather's sadistic brutality Cronos and is drawn into Pan's Labyrinth, a magical world of mythical beings. Hellboy After losing his father, 10-year-old Carlos arrives at the Santa Lucia School, which shelters orphans of the Republican militia and politicians, Hellboy II and is taken in by the steely headmistress, Carmen, and the kindly professor, Casares. Soon after his arrival, Carlos has a run-in with the violent caretaker, Jacinto. Gradually, Carlos uncovers the secrets of the school, including the youthful ghost that wanders the grounds. Antique dealer Jesus Gris stumbles across Cronos, a 400-year-old scarab that, when it latches onto him, grants him youth and eternal life — but also a thirst for blood. As Jesus enjoys his newfound vitality, he's unaware that a dying old man, Dieter de la Guardia, has sent his nephew, Angel, to find the scarab. But Jesus will not give immortality up easily, even risking the life of his orphan granddaughter. At the end of World War II, the Nazis attempt to open a portal to a paranormal dimension to defeat the Allies, but are only able to summon a baby demon who is rescued by Allied forces. Sixty years later, Hellboy serves as an agent in the Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defense, where he, Abe — a merman with psychic powers, and Liz — a woman with pyrokinesis, protects America against dark forces. Hellboy, his pyrokinetic girlfriend, Liz, and aquatic empath, Abe Sapien, face their biggest battle when an underworld prince plans to reclaim Earth for his magical kindred. Tired of living in the shadow of humans, Prince Nuada tries to awaken an ancient army of killing machines to clear the way for fantasy creatures to roam free. THE FUTURE 53 OF MOVEMENT I was asked to choose a dying brand and create a new direction for that company while designing an updated visual identity. Completed Segway originally set out to create a new way for Spring 2020 people to travel short distances in an effort to help reduce the use of cars and fossil fuels. Working off of the idea of the future of movement, I rebranded Segway to include ride-share options, alternative energies, and futuristic modes of transportation such as teleportation — the new logo represents this idea. The colors give a feel of future tech by utilizing a modern complementary harmony, a pop of orange against mostly cool blues.
