Teacher’s ReportLife‟s Lens Cart was a project based on photography whichinvolved students capturing various facets of the cultures of thetwo countries through the camera lens. The blog created by the students from both schools, ensured an online interactionwherein students uploaded vivid photographs of monuments of both countriesalong with descriptive information. It also helped spur interest in the upcomingexchange. This online exchange was followed by the grand moment. The French studentsvisited India for 2 weeks as part of the annual exchange between both schools –DPS, Gurgaon and Cité Scolaire Saint Exupery, Bourg St Maurice.Following leads given in the blog, the French students visited the Indianmonuments they had read about. The highlight of their trip was a visit to thePrimary Girls School as a part of the Community Outreach Programme-„Muskaan‟. It was indeed a day to remember as the smiles brought to the facesof the young girls would be etched in their memory forever.A special assembly was also organised by the exchange students wherein theyshowed their fellow class X students the movie they made during their visit. They spoke about the project on photography, reiterating the importance ofclicking with direction and purpose. A fun-filled board-making activity was alsodone by the students in the language room, showcasing their learning andexperiences. The board continues to serve as a motivation to all the learners ofthe language, who spare a moment to see the board, read the reflections andaspire to be part of the exchange programme. As the coordinator I sincerely felt that this project was well received by all thestudents and teachers who were involved and added a new dimension to theexchange.“Remembering good times, way back when…..Brings those good times back again….”…..what better way, than through theLENS!!!Ms. Sarabjit LallMs. Alisha JainMs. Ruchi BawejaMs. Harmeet KaurTeam- Life’s Lens Cart
