Messages from the Masters Annual Magazine 2021-22 MESSAGE Nurturing creativity and inspiring innovation are two of the key elements of a successful education, and a college magazine is the perfect amalgamation of both. It harnesses the creative energies of the academic community and distils the essence of their inspired imagination in the most brilliant way possible. So, I feel gratified and delighted to know that Poornima University is going to publish its tenth issue of the Annual Magazine “Poornima Spectrum” 2021-22. The most inspiring thing about this magazine is that it brings out the latent creative talents of the students and thus helps them to form the habit of reading and writing. It also helps them to hone their intellectual skills as well as benefits in widening their horizons of knowledge. This gives a chance to the other students to be inspired by their peer experience. I take this opportunity to congratulate the editorial board for bringing out this magazine as per schedule, which in itself is an achievement considering the effort and time required. I appreciate all the Deans and HoDs for giving their consistent support by providing relevant & required data on the activities organized in the session. PU Spectrum provides an intersection of great challenge and colossal opportunity for the students to introspect their efforts and to analyze their participation and achievements in academics as well as extra-curricular activities. It has always been our earnest attempt to academic integrity, sustain open, transparent systems and show dedicated efforts towards social responsibilities. This can be possible only through a collaborative and innovative work culture. It is profoundly inspiring to observe our students work collaboratively to bring out an absolute creative marvel in the form of our annual magazine. Thanks to the combined efforts of faculty, staff, alumni, parents and friends to make Poornima University a great success. Dr. Suresh Chandra Padhy 04 Issue : X President Poornima Spectrum 2021-22
Messages from the Masters Annual Magazine 2021-22 MESSAGE It is a matter of great joy for me to place in your hands the tenth edition of annual magazine of Poornima University “POORNIMA SPECTRUM”. It is the great effort of editorial board in the form of magazine to apprise you about the activities and achievements of session 2021-22 along with some articles. From the start of COVID-19 pandemic, we have seen a lot of challenges and molded our teaching learning process as per need of the hour. We moved from on-line to hybrid and hybrid to offline again with a lot of changes. COVID-19 pandemic has changed the world a lot particularly the education system. In The Pandemic Is a Portal, Indian author Arundhati Roy writes, “Historically, pandemics have forced humans to break with the past and imagine their world anew. This one is no different. It is a portal, a gateway between one world and the next.” The COVID-19 pandemic has tested every individual, every society, and every country at all levels. Facing the worst humanitarian crisis since World War II, everyone has experienced unprecedented pressure on their already limited fiscal capacity to tackle urgent personal/public health and social needs. But, at the end, we survived…. Now, every individual, every society and every country is having great aspiration for overall growth in the conventional and new areas. Our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s Independence Day speech in which he pledged that India would be a “Developed Nation” by 2047, after 100th anniversary of independence can be taken as one single guiding principle for every Indian to work on. Education will play significant role in the overall growth of our country. With the initiation of new education policy (NEP) and a lot of educational reforms, our country can lead the world provided every one of us work in this direction. I am happy to share that a lot of work has been done in infrastructure development and beautification of our campus along with adoption of latest educational reforms. Our best placement record speaks for itself and highest number of admissions since inception also verifies our claims that we are moving in right direction with great enthusiasm and spirit. Poornima University’s tagline is Your Dreams Our Goal. We, at PU, are all set to create the atmosphere to support our students to become the person “they started out to be.” Everyone has their Everest, let us help them climb theirs. I invite you to discover more about our University and the many accomplishments of its faculty, students, and alumni by reading this well designed magazine “Poornima Spectrum”. Please join us on this journey. My good wishes to all…. Do whatever it takes to make your dreams come true… Always believe in miracles, and always believe in you ! ! ~ Julie Anne Ford ~ Dr. Manoj Gupta Pro-President Poornima Spectrum 2021-22 05 Issue : X

One of the prominent commitments of Poornima University is to make dreams of all its students come true by placing them in companies of their choice. The placement cell makes every effort to provide challenging career opportunities to students by constantly monitoring the dynamic changes in the requirements of the industries and accordingly address the needs of the students. The placement cell interacts with reputed organizations with much zest in seeking and sequencing campus interviews for placement of final year students. Despite of stringent eligibility criteria set by various companies, we are proud of achieving nearly 100% placement for all eligible students through sustained efforts during the preceding seasons. Our Placement Services work with a multi-pronged strategy - In-campus recruitment, Virtual web- proctored recruitment, Off-campus recruitment, pooled campus drive and Alumni referrals, thus leading to our success story. We take pride in our student's achievements and are passionate about their success. The alumni of this institute occupy very good positions in business, industry, R&D and academia in India and abroad. With current disruption across the world, a shift in process and technology is revolutionizing. At PU we are proactively preparing ourselves by understanding the need to digitize quickly and make a successful transition to ensure that continuity in education is maintained. We want to join hands and journey forward with our esteemed corporate partners and help our students to achieve a better career in prestigious organizations. Having excelled in their academics at the institute, we are sure that our students will bring-in the expertise and attitude required on the job. We are confident that our students will definitely measure up to the corporate expectations. I extend a warm welcome to our esteemed recruiting corporate partners to take part in the placement process and I assure you on behalf of the entire Poornima Family that it will be a satisfying and a mutually beneficial experience to both the recruiters and the students.
