LOT 316 H10C 1840 DRAPERY. PCGS MS66 The second FINEST graded at PCGS, the with Drapery variety of 1840 half dimes are much more challenging than the No Drapery sibling. This is a remarkable GEM with incredible, totally original toning and brilliant underlying satiny luster. Sharply struck devices stand out against the smooth, problem free surfaces. The eye appeal is excellent, we have looked this GEM up and down with a strong glass and are unable to see why CAC did not bean this beautiful early Seated half dime. PCGS 2, NGC 3. Only a single example has ever sold in auction, over a decade ago for nearly $10,000. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $10,000. PCGS# 4332 | EST: $600+ LOT 318 H10C 1844 PCGS MS65 A beautiful GEM 1844 half dime, struck from the FS-301 die variety, which is noted for its boldly repunched date; the first 3 digits of the date were not punched in the correct position (the 1 was too high, 84 too low), then repunched in their correct position. Though the variety is not noted on the holder, this example is clearly one of the finest known (PCGS has attributed 1 in MS65); Gene Gardner owned the finest NGC-graded example (an MS66 CAC). A warm, glowing luster clings to the surfaces of this GEM, serving as a profound back light to the wonderful antique album-style toning. The devices are exceptionally well struck up and the surfaces are wonderfully preserved with nary a mark worthy of mention to be found anywhere, even with the aid of a strong glass. The eye appeal is tops, we do not know why CAC did not bean this beautiful early example of the type. Needless to say, it passed muster with us! PCGS 17, NGC 28. LOT 328 10C 1835 PCGS MS66+ Legend Rare Coin Auctions is honored to offer the FINEST CERTIFIED 1835 Capped Bust dime regardless of variety. Fresh to the market, consigned to us after it was submitted to PCGS for grading when it was pulled out of an old Wayte Raymond board. Long term Wayte Raymond storage and a kiss from Mother Nature’s magic resulted in the most fabulous toning pattern that graces both sides of this GEM! Concentric rings of blue, green, gold, with splashes of violet, magenta and orange frame both sides. The central obverse has a blast of brilliant untoned silver that makes the surfaces sing with life. A lively underlying luster glows boldly under the colors. Sharply struck devices stand out nicely with crisply defined details. The only flaw we see of any kind is a tiny tick above star 8. This is so miniscule, you cannot see it without the assistance of a strong glass. The eye appeal is incredible, one of the most beautiful, old time looking Capped Bust dime of any date we have had the pleasure of offering. Unbelievable quality and eye appeal. JR-8, Rarity-3. This is clearly the FINEST KNOWN from these dies. PCGS 1, NGC 0. There are none finer at either service, although at some point there was an NGC MS67, which last sold in Rarcoa’s session of Auction ‘90 for $46,200, which stands as a world record. Nicer than any MS66 we can find as having sold previously, so there are no real comps for the date. Finer and more beautiful than the Pouge coin. The Eliasberg-Pogue 1832 dime, graded MS66+ sold for $49,350 in February 2019. This is destined for the FINEST of type or Capped Bust dime collections. This is a sensational borderline SUPERB GEM that will see fierce bidding when it crosses the block. Good luck, you will need it if you plan to bring this prized Capped Bust dime home! Sharply struck devices stand out on both sides, the obverse has two sharp die cracks at 4:30 and 7:00 converging in the central portion of the figure of Liberty. LOT 335 10C 1874 ARROWS. PCGS PR67 From our August 2020 Regency Auction, where it was described as: “What an amazing SUPERB GEM Proof Seated dime! The mintage of 700 Proofs is in line with other dates in the series, but for some reason, very few have survived in such a high grade. Indeed, this one is just one of two PCGS graded examples in PR67 with just a single PR67+ graded higher. Both sides of this GEM have a lovely iridescent patina with rich blue, rose, gold, and violet colors on both sides. The fields show off a wonderful watery reflection on the obverse, while the reverse has a blazing, bold, and blinding reflection that taken on its own would probably warrant a CAM designation. The strike is bold, and there are no distracting marks to be found anywhere. The eye appeal is very high end and extremely rare in such a fine state of preservation. The Arrows at the date were added, as they had been two decades earlier, to signify a weight change. The coinage act of 1873 raised the silver content of the dime, quarter, and half dollar in an effort to absorb some of the silver that poured from the Comstock Lode in Nevada.” PCGS 2, NGC 1. This coin realized $15,275 in August 2020 and for $19,388 in our December 2019 Regency Auction. The current PCGS Price Guide value is $21,000. LOT 350 20C 1878 PCGS PR64 CAC The final year of this very short lived series had a Proof only mintage of just 600 pieces. These are very scarce in all grades, and CAC happens to be quite tight when it comes to approving them. This is a remarkable quality coin for the assigned grade, housed in an early generation blue tag holder and displays distinct claims to an even loftier grade (before the days of 3rd party grading, it would not shock us if it had been cataloged as a GEM Brilliant Proof). The surfaces are uber flashy and reflective highlighting the rich aqua-teal blue that blankets the entire obverse and at the peripheries of the reverse and tangerine-apricot in the centers. Sharply struck devices stand out boldly against the fields, but the rich toning obscures any Cameo contrast. The originality and eye appeal are tops and this cherry double dime is an excellent example for a Proof type set. Only 600 Proofs were struck of this final Proof-only issue. PCGS 106, NGC 89, CAC 11. The most recent example sold in the 2021 ANA auction for $6,900. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $6,250 and the CAC CPG value is $6,320, but this exceptional FRESH example should bring well in excess of those levels. Note that we sold the last PCGS PR65 CAC for $9,400 in December 2019, and these are quite RARE any finer. Good luck. PCGS# 5306 | EST: $6,000+ NOTES DAY 2 163

LOT 351 25C 1818 PCGS MS65 CAC An incredible ORIGINAL GEM B-3 which ranks among the Condition Census specimens of this Rarity-3 die marriage. The die variety is interesting, as it is the same obverse die used on B-1, the 1818/5 overdate, but in this use of the die, the surfaces were lapped, removing most traces of the underlying 5. With the aid of a strong glass, you can still see vestiges of the upright of the 5 on the upper curve of the 8. Sharply struck from a middle die state with bold clashing of the dies and the small die crack from the rim to the lower arrowhead, through the shafts, and into the field. A sultry, satiny luster glows boldly on both sides giving life to the pearly-gray, pale gold, and iridescent lilac toning. The definition is sharp and crisp from an exacting blow from the screw press. This totally original GEM is incredible! A fantastic early Bust quarter, perfect for type or date purposes. PCGS 24, NGC 21, CAC 5. The most recent PCGS/CAC MS65 sold in our December 2019 Regency Auction for $30,550. The PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $32,500 and the CAC CPG value is listed at $36,000. PCGS has graded just five finer; and the last PCGS/CAC MS66 sold for $67,563 nearly eight years ago! This exceptional GEM will delight any collector. Good luck. PCGS# 5322 | EST: $26,000+ 164 DAY 2

LOT 352 25C 1822 25/50C. PCGS VF35 CAC The B-2, corrected 25/50C reverse variety is a very RARE and challenging Red Book listed variety that while listed as Rarity-5 in the reference works, is exceptionally difficult to find in any grade. Most survivors are lower grade, and this CHOICE VF is a wonderful, collector oriented example. The 25/50 feature is readily visible to the naked eye. This coin displays problem-free moderate wear and is a very handsome coin as such. Both sides show a “circ-cam” look, with deeper toned fields and lighter high points of the design types. Free from any damage, lines or anything else that would distract from the outstanding eye appeal. PCGS 2, NGC 2, CAC 1. The current PCGS value is $35,000. But who knows what that level is based on, as no VF35 has sold since 2004! In the 2021 ANA auction a VF30 that had a very noticeable pin scratch across the obverse sold for $21,600 and a VF20 sold in the 2017 ANA auction for $22,325. We can say with all confidence that this is neither of the NGC VF35s that sold in 2016. This is a VERY IMPORTANT opportunity for any collector of this popular series. Do not let this one pass you by! LOT 353 25C 1831 SMALL LETTERS. PCGS MS64+ CAC A lovely and original borderline GEM B-4. Just below the Tompkins Condition Census and within the Rea- Koenings-Haroutunian Census. Sharply struck devices are surrounded by satiny lustrous fields. Warm pewter silver mixes nicely with an underlying pearly hue, that glows with accents of teal-gray, slate-blue, and soft iridescent gold. The surfaces are free of any distracting marks, lines, or any other flaw worthy of mention. The eye appeal is intriguing, handsome, and unique. PCGS 68, NGC 62, CAC 13. PCGS has graded five in MS64+ and the last PCGS/CAC example to sell brought nearly $10,000 eight years ago! The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $10,000; be aware though, a PCGS/CAC MS65 will run $35,000! This is an excellent coin for the type or date collector. LOT 356 25C 1860-O PCGS MS66 CAC This is the SINGLE FINEST example of this scarce antebellum date quarter that is VERY RARE in any grade above MS63. To give an idea of the rarity, Eliasberg’s example was a 65 and is the second finest known and Norweb had an AU58. Totally original toned, this GEM is marvelously preserved on both sides. Even with the aid of a strong glass, you will find zero imperfections worthy of mention. The surfaces are wonderfully satiny and have a shimmering texture below a layer of iridescent earthen tones. As you rotate the lustrous surfaces in a light, shades of powder blue, soft olive, and light golden accents mingle with an antique pearly-tan dominant patina. The strike is rather sharp in overall definition and the eye appeal is exceptional. Before that, this one sold in March 2019 for $8,813. Clearly the PCGS Price Guide value is too low; it would not shock us if this GEM+++ coin brought more than it did two years ago. Good luck. PCGS# 7059 | EST: $8,000+ LOT 412 T$1 1879 TRADE. PCGS PR66 CAM CAC Ex Simpson, as noted on the holder. This beauty is an old friend, last sold in our October 2017 Regency Auction, lot 31, as part of the D.W. Collection, where it was described as: “One look and you can tell this is an exceedingly SUPER HIGH-END GEM. It was bought in 2010 by the DW Collection owner. It has never been in for regrade. Deep and booming mirrors beam from all over; they are seriously clean, have amazing clarity, and are nearly blinding with reflection. When twirled, they give off that deep “watery” rolling look. A gentle shade of reddish gold frames parts of the peripheries. Miss Liberty and every detail are pinpoint sharp in strike and have thick frost. This coin has NOT been dipped or retoned- it’s the real deal! The eye appeal is phenomenal!” PCGS 12, NGC 19, CAC 2. This is the most recent example to sell in auction, four years ago, realizing $14,588. The current Collectors Universe value is listed at $16,000. There are fewer than ten graded finer at PCGS, and anything finer will cost substantially more! This is an important opportunity for the advanced collector that cannot be overlooked and worthy of another world class collection. Whether you collect Proof Trade dollars, Proof dollars by type, or are just putting together a box of 20 special coins, this is one very high end GEM for any advanced collector. LOT 418 $1 1879-CC PCGS MS65 CAC Ex. RSD, as noted on the insert. This is an AMAZING 79-CC dollar, to call this majestically toned coin a GEM is an understatement. We absolutely love this coin! The quality of this coin is SUPER HIGH END, so much so, its quality is off the charts! It’s obvious to us that Mother Nature took a blank canvas that just happened to be a rare GEM 1879-CC $1 and made it quite special. Bold semi-prooflike mirrors dominate both sides. You do not have to imagine them. We looked this coin over really hard and are thrilled that there are no imperfections of any size, anywhere. We think PCGS showed this coin no respect when it was graded (we make NO promises). The mirrors and luster have a tremendous flash you can see from a distance. The obverse has gorgeous totally original colors of sky blue/ green/violet/gold. We unhesitatingly rank all the colors a 9 on our 1-10 color scale (10 is the best). There is no specific kind of pattern, Mother Nature just let the colors flow (79-CCs with color typically come splotchy or mottled). The reverse has bold contrast and a touch of gold by the rims. Miss Liberty and the details are all thickly frosted and have full strikes. The eye appeal will mesmerize you! PCGS 105, NGC 42, CAC 35. This exceptional GEM is unlike any other you might encounter! When this coin first hit the bourse floor back in 2013, we out bid two other dealers representing people in order to buy this magnificent GEM, back then Legend Numismatics paid $48,000. We sold it in our October 2019 Exclusively Legend Regency Event auction for $43,475. Toss out any other pricing guides, they are USELESS on a monster GEM like this! Good luck. LOT 419 LOT 420 $1 1879-S PCGS MS65 A neat end roll toner. Coppery-peach rose, sky blue, and $1 1879-S PCGS MS65 CAC warm gold tones caress the highly lustrous surfaces. We rate the color an 8 out of 10 on our 10-point scale. The surfaces This is an exceptional, polychromatic toned GEM 79-S are nice and clean and the strike is bold, giving this 79-S a dollar. Cranberry-red and deep purple hues dominate, but great look. ample magenta accents blend with tangerine-rose, gold, and emerald-green hints that cling to the recesses of the design. PCGS# 7092 | EST: $500+ Clearly this GEM came into contact with the canvas bag at one time, you can see some textile toning dots from the rim at BU in PLURIBUS to the top of the cotton bolls. The colors rate a 9.5 out of 10 on our color scale. The luster really brings out the gorgeous colors. The grade accounts for some minor contact marks that are seen in the color but do not detract from the monster eye appeal. Housed in an old green tag holder, this GEM is fresh and will see very strong bidding. It would not be a shock if our estimate proved extremely conservative! PCGS# 7092 | EST: $1,500+ NOTES 198 DAY 2

LOT 421 $1 1879-S PCGS MS68+ CAC This is the EPITOME of what a SUPERLATIVE quality Morgan dollar should look like! Not only is it tied for FINEST graded, it is a marvelous coin for type or date purposes! Incredible, bold cartwheel luster rolls across the surfaces on both sides. The fields offer a distinct S-mint semi-reflec- tive, semi-Prooflike flash that is a delight to behold and is blinding when rotated in a light. The sharply struck devices possess a thick, creamy, frosted texture that contrasts boldly with the icy-fresh brilliance on the obverse, giving that side a generous nearly Cameo-like look. Needless to say the surfaces, both fields and devices are devoid of any serious contact, virtually PRISTINE, and the eye appeal is simply AMAZING! PCGS 168, NGC 194, CAC 65. There are only 15 in MS68+ at PCGS and NONE graded higher. The most recent example sold in our October 2020 Regency Auction for $28,200 and the current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $34,000. This is truly a great early Morgan dollar bound for a WORLD CLASS type or date set! PCGS# 7092 | EST: $25,000+ DAY 2 199

LOT 422 $1 1880-O 80 OVER 79. PCGS MS65 CAC A SENSATIONAL GEM example that sits at the TOP OF THE POP for this major Morgan dollar overdate variety. The VAM 4 variety, a TOP 100 VAM, offered here has a “micro” O mintmark. Blazing cartwheel silver brilliance rolls strongly over the surfaces on both sides. Sharply struck with bold frosty devices that at certain angles give this high end GEM a near Cameo- PL look. A narrow band of rainbow color frames the obverse, creating a gorgeous halo effect. The eye appeal is stunning. PCGS 3, NGC 0, CAC 1. This is the Jackson Hole coin, last sold in auction in April 2007. The current CAC CPG value is $22,800 and the PCGS Price Guide value is $20,000.
