Highlights of works done in TRD/SA division 1. As per RB letter no. 2001/Elect (G)/170/1 Pt. dated 07.05.2012, ‘Retro reflective SIGMA boards’ are provided on the OHE masts prior to stop signals for easy identification of signal locations during foggy weather. (Cumulative progress - 586 nos). Retro reflective SIGMA boards were provided on the OHE masts prior to stop signals 2. As a part of OHE reliability improvement, 2722 Nos. of packing saddles are provided inside the catenary wire suspension clamps. Cumulative progress - 2722 nos). Provision of Packing Saddle inside Catenary suspension clamps
3.Reliability improvement Special drive:Composite insulator checking and replacement of flashed insulator noticed during the special drive as per HQ instructions (Total- 6316 nos, This month checked- 190 nos, Cumulative Checked- 6316 nos, Balance checking- NIL, Flashed insulators replaced- 47 nos) Composite insulator checking and replacement of flashed insulator 4. Replacement of bushings of Traction power transformer at SA/TSS, BQI/TSS and SLY/TSS (Total- 4 nos) due to high Tan delta value. {SA/TSS- TR-05 HV bushing, BQI/TSS- TR-03 LV bushing & TR-04 HV bushing and SLY/TSS TR- 02 LV bushing}. Replacement of bushings of Traction power transformer at SA/TSS, BQI/TSS and SLY/TSS
5.At BQI/TSS Feeder Circuit Breaker (FCB-107) and Current Transformer (CT- 107) were replaced due to Codal life completed. (EIG approval No. ET/ 35 / 2021- 2022) Circuit Breaker and Current Transformer replacement work at BQI/TSS 6. At Lokur, OHE modification work was carried out for segregation of two cross overs OHE (Up &Dn cross overs), i.e, earlier one OHE tension length was involving two cross overs have been modified in to two independent OHE tension length, now each cross over having independent OHE tension length.
7. Lightning arrestor disconnector assembly was provided on the top side (live side) instead of bottom side (earth side) at IGR/TSS & PTJ/SSP (one number at each place) as a trial measure for study purpose. This enables automatic disconnection of defective LA and interruption of OHE supply will be avoided. After successful observation, same will be advised to HQ/RDSO. Lightning arrestor disconnector assembly was provided on the top side (live side) 8. Aluminium along track feeder wire was replaced with 150 SQMM copper wire at IGU (loc.475/18A-22, 65metres length) as reliability improvement measure.
Aluminium along track feeder wire was replaced with 150 SQMM copper feeder wire at IGU 9. OHE reliability improvement work: 76 No. of rusted steel ACC wire was replaced with 65SQMM catenary wire at DST, departmentally. 10. DRPC out of service from Dec-2020, From that time faced frequent Main Capacitor bank OCR trippings. To avoid OCR trippings At BQI/TSS Rudimentary Capacitor bank 430kVAR augmented to 1500kVAR Capacitor bank by erecting Series Reactor, LA & NCT. Series Reactor & NCT erection work in connection with CAP-122A augmentation
During thermal imager checking at SA hot spot identified and found that Aluminium jumper strands cut. 2 nos of Aluminium jumpers replaced by copper at SA-G8 Gantry. Aluminium jumper replacement work at SA
11. Cross track feeder of SS/84 removed and Along track feeder (150 sqmm) erected at rd 7 at ED YARD Along track feeder erection work 12. OHE modification in connection with Platform extension work at DC, Portal boom erected at 353/11-12, 13-14 & 15-16 erected. Boom O type erection done at 353/15-16 DC Yard modification
13. PT-109, 111 and 141 at SA/TSS replaced due to completion of codal line. PT-109, 111 and 141 replacement work at SA/TSS
Safety improvement work 1. At SGE station, new portal upright & boom erected at 371/6-5, Cantilever assemblies erected OHE load transferred and old portal boom &upright removed due to platform extension work. Transfer of OHE from old mast to new mast at SGE station due to PF extension work 2. Elimination of platform Infringement at DST: i. New Portal erected 251/37-35. ii. Transfer of OHE done at loc. 251/37-38 (Rd-1, 2, 3 & 4). (Total- 1 loc, 4 C/A). iii. Old portal removed from loc. 251/37-38 (Total- 1 no). Elimination of portal infringement at DST
3. Elimination of mast having implantation between 2.36m and 2.40m: i. New foundations casted: NIL. ii. Transfer of OHE done at loc. 316/1- 2 (Rd-1, 2 & 3).(Total- 1 loc, 3 C/A). iii. Old mast removed from loc. 316/2 (Total- 1 no). Elimination of mast having implantation between 2.36m and 2.40m
4. Along track feeder anchor at location 50/20 (NMKL) was available without required 2 meters safe working clearance. The 2 meters safe working clearance has been created now by adding one meter distant rod in the along track feeder anchor as shown below. Previous condition (2m Present condition (2m working clearance is available now) working clearance was not available)
Status of TRD maintenance: Failures of TRD installations are minimized by various preventive measures like by regular maintenance, tree trimming, provision of nylon mesh to avoid crow nests etc., testing with thermal imager & and regular hot line inspection with OLIVER-G equipment and rectification of heavy and medium sparks etc.,. Periodical maintenance of Traction Distribution asset is being done without any arrears. Drill is considered an important ingredient for the breakdown maintenance and thus it is regularly conducted every month for TRD staff on various parameters like insulator replacement, splicing of wires and erection of temporary mast etc. Training is imparted to SMs for isolator operations during emergency. Since staff intake for TRD department from other department, staffs are nominated to various training centers for initial training.
