Place to eat Trang is a province that is famous for its breakfast. For Trang people, eating breakfast will start early in the morning. Traditional coffee drinks in a kopi shop or a tea shop that has been known for a long time. There are a variety of kopi to choose from: Kopi Or, also called black coffee (black coffee with sugar but without milk); Sae Long (sweet condense milk tea or hot tea) ; Tae Oliang (iced black tea). The uniqueness of trang coffee and tea is coffee filtering using a cloth sac. Coffee powder used in a shop is locally made. Coffee is a drink for Trang people of all genders and ages. They can drink it at any time of the day or night. 232

Dim Sum Dim Sum is a breakfast menu eating with coffee and roasted pork. Dim Sum with more than 20 items on the menu will generally be served in small dishes covering the table. On each small dish lie a few pieces of food. The regular items on the menu are dumpling, shrimp dumpling, deep-fried tofu stuffed with pork, Chinese bun, fried sweet pasty, bun and sticky rice. You pay only what you did eat. The restaurant selling Trang breakfast are open from dawn to dusk. 233

Mario: WOW!!!!!!! Priya: For visitors, there is a roasted pork festival held in September of every Mario: year. Priya: Could you tell me about Trang roasted pork ? Priya: O.K. The way the roasted pork is made is truly a traditional one : both in Tonkla: the seasoning mixture and in the ingredients. Oddly enough, they have been served as breakfast in Trang’s coffee house. Mario: Trang people normally have roasted pork, Dim Sum, and coffee for breakfast. That strange digest habit amused every tourists. But you should not miss trying Trang style’s breakfast at any cake near your hotel. Good. I would like to buy some back home. Trang roasted pork is famous nationwide. It is a special ancient menu created by a Cantonese immigrant who came to Trang. The recipe has been passed down for more than a 100 years. Most of the immigrants pioneered pepper farm in Trang. About 300 meters away is the Tambon Na Muen Si Local Heritage Museum that is the local natural center to preserve local arts and handicrafts.
