My Prayer October 2, 2019 O God of all creation, my Lord, my God, You have asked me to pray without ceasing, to pray even for my enemies, to love those who do not love me, and to forgive those who sinned against me. Even as You have forgiven me, and displeasing You in sin drives Your grace away, may Your Spirit convict me and lead me to repent with a true contrite heart that gives hope and that gives life. I need that leading, dear God, as it is the only way that assures me of taking another step to live Christ in me. It is His peace that I need most now despite how busy I can get with matters of a world of unexciting routine of work here and there. Fire me up to Your glory and praise now and forever, in Jesus. You are my light! Amen. My Prayer October 3, 2019 My Lord and my God, in this material world, lead me by Your Spirit to think of what is eternal. May I rest in all confidence on Your promise of salvation. In the sphere of the spiritual, may I continue to be drawn to a personal relationship with Christ Jesus, my Teacher, my Master, my Rock, my Salvation, the Way, the Truth and the Life. May I be an authentic follower of Him, allowing Your will to rule and consume me as in Him, in perfect obedience, faithfulness and humility. May I have an accepting attitude of a child to believe all these today and forever, in Jesus. Increase in me, O Lord. Amen!
My Prayer October 4, 2019 O Lord, my dear God, I lift my arms in praise and thanksgiving for this day of glory of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. May You bring me to submission to this devotion knowing fully well that in the name of Jesus, the name above every other name, my prayers to His Sacred Heart together with the intercession of the Blessed Mother, will all be heard. May I then pray the devotional prayer in praise and honor of the Sacred Heart confident as always that You will listen and keep Your promises as You always do. Let my word, everything I say, glorify You. May my word be my bond, in Jesus! Amen. My Prayer October 5, 2019 My ever merciful and loving God, may I get into Your Lordship by whatever strength that remains in my heart and soul. Weakened in body due to the labors of the week, extend to me the comfort of Your arms and allow Your peace that surpasses all understanding to take away the vestiges of my troubles and anxieties. Knowing that You do not want me to suffer and stray from Your grasp and warmth, enable me to put under the foot of the Cross of Christ my unfounded fears. Let me hug the nailed feet of Jesus to keep me still and simply invoke \"I trust in You\"! Amen.
My Prayer October 6, 2019 The inspiration You are leading me this day of obligation, my Lord and my God, is how best I can proclaim the Gospel to others without the need to use any word. May I be enabled then to think less of myself but more of others, even those unrelated and unknown to me. In the midst of recreation and relaxation promised by this blessed Sunday, may I work still even only in prayer that I may lift up to You in gladness those that I have forgotten to pray for, those who do not have anyone to pray for them, and yes, those suffering- the very poor, the very sick, the condemned, whether innocent or not. May my intercession for them, and those for family and friends, rise above the mediocrity of my faith. Rather than a litany of meaningless words said peremptorily and lazily done, may my thoughts be like Yours, to bring the goodness that You always want for all. Be praised in Jesus, my Lord and my God. Amen.
My Prayer October 7, 2019 Blessed be God, my Lord, forever! The day starts a new week that I thank You for. May Your Spirit empower me more to persevere in my faith walk, dear God. May I overcome the routine, if not boredom, that at times casts doubt on my spirituality. Experiencing the heights and mountains of my faith is more often than not balanced by some degree of dryness, the depth of my prayers besides. My thoughts wander with questions of Your presence in this world that has now become chaotic. Wonder as I must, I simply feel that guilt that I have been lackluster in loving You and in loving my neighbor. It is I who left and abandoned; it is I who got lost and astray. May I regain, renew and relive the fire of my faith both in my highs and lows then. Let Your Spirit keep burning in my soul no matter what. In Jesus, Amen.
My Prayer October 8, 2019 My dear Lord and my God, thank You for the rest and sleep as I thank You for this new day You have added unto me. May You strengthen me today in body, mind, heart and soul anticipating how busy I will be with the tasks of the day. Without any tinge of complaining, enable me to carry on with gladness, with even a smile on my face. May I have Your grace that suffices that to remedy and remove the burdens, pains and frustrations of the day. I shout Your joy in peace with Jesus, Amen. My Prayer October 9, 2019 My Lord and my God, in this fresh day under Your care, may Your Spirit drive thoughts crossing my mind that cause You displeasure. There is much noise around me coupled with idle talk and dirty jokes that do not glorify You. Worse, we sometimes talk behind the back of others, mostly purposeless and often maligning them. May You then guard my mind and lips against all these that sadden You. Make me ever conscious that I need the discipline of Your in-dwelling Spirit from these unwholesome and sinful thoughts and words. May Jesus keep my mouth and mind shut from evil intrusions. May I opt to choose silence in prayer. Amen!
My Prayer October 10, 2019 Father Almighty, dear Lord and my God, a new day unfolds in Your majesty as King of all kings and God of all creation. Truly, we are nothing without You and to me You are everything. Look not on my fallibility and unworthiness and bless me once again today. With people I pray for and care for, enable us by Your Spirit to be fully restored and stay healthy in body, mind, heart and soul. I am reminded of your restoring sight to the blind, making the lame walk, curing the leper and the centurion's daughter, and yes, even raising to life the dead. May we all then be abuzz with that transformative healing and life that You alone can grant. Allow us all to give You praise from moment to moment and in my case, let me embrace You and Your holiness with the devotion, passion and faithfulness that I always promise to give. Make me win over the frailties I have, O Lord Jesus. Amen!
My Prayer October 14, 2019 O Lord and my God, may Your Holy Spirit move me to action this new week as more work and new challenges confront me. There may be lack of focus and attention on my part leading me to distraction, confusion and indecision. Let this not be. By the promptings of Your Spirit, lead me to ask what is Your perfect will and what will please You the most. Guide me simply by the question of what Jesus will do and how will he do it in those situations. May I start and be enabled by invoking the mighty name of Jesus in prayer and be empowered to take authority in His Name over difficult moments of my life. You are most wise, a true God, my God. Amen.
My Prayer October 16, 2019 My Lord and my God, the cool breeze of the morning signals the warmth of Your love for today. My thanks will never be enough but I wish to justify it in the silence, truth and purity of what You will allow me to do today. With You, all things are possible and there is depth of wisdom in Your teaching that faith can move mountains. Let me enjoy this world but let me not live of it. This is Your world not anyone else's. Rule it as You rule me and my life. I desire Your discipline and correction. Rebuke me as You must and as You did to Your disciples. This is not really meant for me to be a saint but more to mirror in my face Your likeness, with Your goodness in all that I think, say and do, for Your greater honor, for Your greater glory, never mine, my Lord Jesus. Amen.
My Prayer October 17, 2019 Heavenly Father, my Lord and my God, I choose by Your grace to be under Your fold and care today. Instead of thinking and worrying about tomorrow, may I live in Your joy and mercy as today has concerns of its own. You have always told me not to be afraid so I have the courage to welcome whatever it is that You will allow to unfold in this new day. May I find beauty and goodness around me that I may see You in them and in my neighbor, as it will already be a taste of Your paradise. Your kingdom is in fact at hand, prepare me and draw strength from the Holy Spirit. As my life is a gift, may I enjoy it to the full but always with You. Let me get up and go about, in Jesus. Praise You, Lord God. Amen! My Prayer October 18, 2019 My Lord and my God, I continue to claim today Your peace. It is the peace that Jesus gave and left soon after His resurrection. It is said to be the peace that surpasses all understanding. As I seek it from the core and depth of my soul, may I have it so I can win over the adventures and lack of direction of my restless heart. Verily, without peace in me from You, I will be at war with my very self and no doubt struggle hard to be at peace with others. Your peace is reassuring that I can go on living in hope and in joy. Peace be with me, dear Jesus. Amen.
My Prayer October 20, 2019 (San Diego, California) My dear Lord and God Almighty, truly heaven and earth are full of Your glory. You are King for all eternity and may Your Name be blessed and praised forever. May the Word I hear today hit the heart of my soul and make my vision so clear to see Your beauty as I kneel before You. May Your all seeing eye penetrate the deepest and innermost of my sullied soul that You blot out my sins, failures and shortcomings as a father, brother, husband, son, or friend. May I be restored in my standing by Your enduring mercy that I may again receive Your grace that gives meaning to all that I am. Jesus, my Lord, make me right and relevant. Amen.
My Prayer October 11, 2019 My dear Lord, my God of everlasting glory, praise, honor and thanks be unto You today. May Your Spirit, beloved and strength of soul, inspire me to dwell on Your Word, that I may be led to a step higher than the current level of my dwindling faith. May You arrest the fall and loss of that faith as my heart desires to hang on to it to the end. This faith is the best gift and all other gifts and even Your blessings, are grounded and sourced from this. Instead of lacking it, fill my wholeness of it so it can flow as pure as the water on the stream of Your goodness, not only for me but more for those dear to me and those receiving this shared prayer, whether they it read or not. You are my living water, Lord Jesus. Quench my thirst. Amen.
My Prayer October 22, 2019 (San Diego, California, USA) My Lord and my God, may Your name be glorified today by all Your people. May You be exalted forever and enable me to whisper a word or two of praise and thanks to You all the time even at least in my thoughts. I admit that I cannot thank You enough for all Your wondrous deeds, including Your providing me Your abundant grace. I know that I deny You at times like Peter but I am always humbled by Your forgiveness through Your mercy that endures forever. Let me begin the day then with a contrite heart ever mindful of my sin of ingratitude and denial. By this, I will be enabled to always think of You to lead me back to humility, faithfulness and obedience. Lord Jesus remember me in my hour of weakness and self-will. Amen.
My Prayer October 23, 2019 (California, USA) My dear Lord, my ever Living God, I acknowledge Your Lordship once again and that You are my all, indeed my very life. Without You I am nothing. You are my every step, my every heartbeat and my every breath. I worship You and adore You. I glorify Your name. As You are here, there and everywhere, Your presence at times overwhelms me but certainly makes me feel secure. More importantly, You drive away evil from me and constantly keep me in the palm of Your hand. You also send Your host of angels to keep watch over me and those I pray for and care for. Today, hopefully, everyday, may I always be mindful of Your holy presence even as I see You and feel You in all the people around me and giving meaning to Your love for all. In Jesus, let me praise and exalt You. Amen.
My Prayer October 24, 2019 Lord, dear God, may I thank You for another day You have added unto me. Amid the chaos and cruelty around the world, I still find that it is a beautiful world as I see the wonders of Your creation. This generation may be unbelieving, ignoring the truth that You have made all of us and breathe life unto all. Forgive us for our transgressions, collective and otherwise. For those denying You, lead them to believe. For those of us with weak faith, lead us to believe You more. Jesus, I trust in You. Amen! My Prayer October 25, 2019 (Eagle Rock, California) Lord of all nations and God of all creation, my Lord and my God, how difficult, if not impossible, it is for me to stay up high in the mountain and touch You through the clouds. Your blue skies, Your cool wind, and Your sunshine do not guarantee my highs with You. The storms, the tempests and the heavy downpour, are there to bring me as You will, to the valley of scarcity, uncertainty, yes, even of fear and misery. But You are the epitome and constancy of faith and hope. Your eternity of love and mercy is the blessed promise of life in the here and now as well as in the days to come. Carry me still and leave Your footprints on the desert. I am assured of Your oasis in Elim. Let me drink, in Jesus. Amen.
My Prayer October 28, 2019 O Lord, my dear God, I see the oneness You have with Jesus and the Holy Spirit in all the beauty of Your creation. But I see and feel You best in the people we value, people we pray for! I continue to pray that everything today, turns out to be the very best for them and their loved ones. Thanks for the small pieces of heaven that each day brings and that allow us to laugh, to love, to learn. Let me give thanks to You in the name of Jesus for all these precious blessings! Yes, I am certain that from Your storehouse of abundance they will all receive and enjoy blessings upon blessings! Amen. My Prayer October 29, 2019 Lord, my refuge and fortress, my God in whom I trust, how great are all Your works around me. There is poverty and misery I see though. But I view them as constant reminders of a long suffering people I need to pray for daily as much as possible. The sight at times unbearable, enables me to shut the door of my room and kneel in their behalf, the very poor. The curses of the Fall, the faith-testing Exodus, all leading to the betrayal of Christ, signify the reality of adversities that humankind went through and must go through. May You always make me remember what Genesis teaches and what Revelation promises. And You remain the center of all these as You are the Beginning and the End, the First and
the Last. Therefore, lead me to a life of purpose as You remain my stronghold, in Jesus, my Rock. Amen! My Prayer October 30, 2019 My Lord and my God, the day begins with heaviness in my heart. It might have been due to some nightmarish dreams or unpleasant ones. But it is most likely because of unforgiveness in my heart. There is a degree of resentment on people who have taken advantage of me and what I believe is their perception, rightly or wrongly, of my kindness and generosity. May You set me free from this as I want to live and feel right for these people. By the Sacred Heart of Jesus, liberate me from selfishness. Amen! My Prayer October 31, 2019 My Lord and my God, may this day be a special day of prayer for me that I may intercede for mercy and peace for the souls of my dearly departed parents, brothers, relatives, friends and colleagues. I continue to trust that You have all allowed them in heaven to be in Your company singing and giving You glory with all the angels and saints. May I also be reminded today and in the days to come that as I honor and pray for the dead, I have to love and care for the living. May I kneel again but in praise of You for the life hereafter that You have promised in Jesus! Amen.
My Monday Prayer November 4, 2019 My dear Lord, Almighty God, may Your Spirit examine my thoughts, my plans, my purposes to embrace the faith. May the approach be simple of looking into what are stored in my damaged heart whether of wants, desires or ambitions. By Your gift of discernment, lay aside from the center of the entire process ill-motive, ambition, power, entitlement, benefit, advantage, reward or even recognition. Stripped of these that beclouds the purity of mind heart and soul, I must be able to stay in faith and in You. In short, grant me the grace to be a true disciple in truth, faithfulness, humility and obedience. Let me start clearing my consciousness of all people, places, events and things, even attachments to them as they are specks in my already impaired vision that hinder my going forward in my pilgrimage. Let me be single hearted for Christ. Amen!
My Wednesday Prayer November 6, 2019 My Lord and my God, may I offer today that You have added unto me to be a day of intercession for those around me, family, friends and colleagues. I join them in the silence of their intentions believing that You very well know what their hearts desire. I sense their goodness and it is the goodness and well-being of their own families and loved ones that are paramount to them. In Jesus, Father Almighty, hear them, answer their prayers, said and unsaid, in haste. You are all-knowing and You know what they need even before they ask it from You. Thank You for being an answering God. Amen! My Thursday Prayer November 7, 2019 O Lord, dear God, the day breaks with a song of praise in my heart. But the concerns of the day, petty as they are, get the better of me with my patience running thin. I sometimes doubt now whether I still have a role in the household chores and the very lives of my children. My decisions are scrutinized and put to question even if I have been inspired by Your Spirit in those decisions. May You give me the grace and wisdom to await the day that I become irrelevant to those I care for. With You, I am still relevant at least. Amen.
My Saturday Prayer November 9, 2019 My dear God, my sweet Lord, my every breath, my every heartbeat, and my every step, are more than signs of life You have graciously added unto me. Accept my praise and thanks then as I welcome a weekend of recreation. My age and health issues besides, I know in my heart how You want me to enjoy life, and hopefully with You, always under Your loving care. You are truly a God of love, full of mercy and compassion. As my Father, I entrust and cast upon You all my cares and burdens, as it is only by You, with You and through You that I am enabled to bear and carry them all. Thank you for empowering me in Jesus. Amen.
My Sunday Prayer November 10, 2019 My Lord and my God, to love You as You commanded is to put You first above all else. I know that I have failed in this so many times as I bury and make myself busy with things of the world characterized by an eagerness to acquire, amass and accumulate. But You often make me realize that material wealth is not it and the end of it in this pilgrimage. You also remind me that I do not live by bread alone and I must seek first Your kingdom and righteousness, and I will have everything and more besides. In atonement for my life of luxury amid the poverty and misery around, grant me today, Your day, and in the days to come, that burning desire to join a genuine advocacy to fight the injustice to the poor. As I can very well be a cause of that, let me learn and live from the lesson of the tax collector and not that very rich young man who followed all Your commandments but unable to sell his possessions to give to the less fortunate. You call on me not to a vow of poverty but to a vow of charity and generosity. Enable me then to take that road less travelled, in Jesus. Amen.
My Monday Prayer November 11, 2019 I give You praise and thanks my Lord and my God, for this new day, this new week. With You, it is a week full of promise and fulfillment. I believe that what I ask of You, You will grant in Your perfect time. While I patiently wait for Your answers to my prayers, may I not doubt Your goodness and kindness, even if Your answers are different from what I have asked for. I have come to accept that You work in mysterious ways and Your blessings may even come disguised as problems and difficulties. May You give me then an open mind, albeit discerning, and an accepting heart but always full of gratitude. You are my Father; You will never forsake me. In Jesus, Amen.
My Wednesday Prayer November 13, 2019 My Lord and my God, the toil I did for the last two days was heavy but I was able to carry the load by You, with You and through You. Thank You as I could not have done it alone and without You. I am truly grateful that I again pass another crucible with You giving me the strength in body, mind, heart and soul. Truly, You are my stronghold and fortress. It is by Your leading and inspiration that I am able to serve others. It is by the example of Jesus that I am able to carry my own cross daily. May His footsteps to Calvary propel me to continue to glory in His humility. Make me a stronger servant but always humble, yes, even meek. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
My Friday Prayer November 15, 2019 I bless Your Name, O God of all creation, Father of all nations. Blessed be the Lord, my God, now and forever. May this new day be a day of healing and restoration. May we enjoy the warmth of Your love and mercy and join You in celebrating victory over any and all physical oppression. Even as I am unable to thank You enough, I plead the Blood of Jesus to cover us all from the intrusions of the enemy. By His stripes, heal me from my woundedness and subdue my unforgiving spirit to His Sacred Heart. Bring me to the sacrament of reconciliation to restore me to Your everlasting grace. Remain merciful, my Lord and my God, in Jesus. Amen!
My Saturday Prayer November 16, 2019 Almighty God and Father, I come before You in the name of Your Son, Jesus, my Saviour and Lord. To live Him in my life is truly difficult. At times, I see living a life in Him impossible. Your Paraclete, my Advocate, Your very Spirit, nonetheless prompts me to live a life of holiness, of selflessness, service, oftentimes, of self-denial and sacrifice. I sense that the seeming impossibility is brought about by my own weaknesses inherent in my sinfulness. I see the world as very attractive but Your Gospel of salvation must take precedence over it. I must now accept that while I live in this world with what it offers, all so tempting, I must not yield. I must not live of this world. I surrender to You instead in reckless abandon. May Your will be done! Amen!
My Tuesday Prayer November 19, 2019 My Lord and my God, I am taught that You are the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End, the Alpha and the Omega. May this new day then start with You and end with You, assured of Your care, blessing and healing. Guide and enlighten me still through Your Holy Spirit that the day be as fruitful and productive, routine as my works would be. There is excitement that can be expected from Your providence and magnificence as my God and Father. It may be a simple hello, a thank you, an inexpensive gift, or a grandaughter's hug, each of which inspired by You, is enough to brighten up and make my day. Let me do away with extravagance to live in all simplicity with Christ Jesus. Amen! My Wednesday Prayer November 20, 2019 My Lord and my God, You are an awesome and amazing God. In the name of Jesus, and through Your Holy Spirit, make this day amazing for me and those I care for. Let me not fall short of Your glory and in the full abundance of Your grace, let me be good and stay good as You are good. Between You and me, Christ Jesus mediates and the Holy Spirit advocates. It is through them that You listen to my pleas, my yearnings even. Make me worthy then to draw from Your amazing grace that my thoughts, words and actions today may all be fair, true and just. May I be guided no less by the Way, the Truth and the Life. Lift me up dear Jesus. Amen.
My Thursday Prayer November 21, 2019 Almighty Father, You are the God who was, who is, and who is to come, the God of yesterday, today and tomorrow. With You, all things are possible even as I realize Your might without measure can hold me, the whole world and the entire universe in the palm of Your hand. You are more, in fact, beyond compare to the so- called superheroes, superpowers and the forces of evil, combined. If You are with me, who can go against me? As I go about this new day, enable me to draw strength from You. Make me further realize and accept that the agony and crucifixion at Calvary expand and fortify this little faith I have that I often tout with. Lord God, sanctify me, in Jesus. Amen! My Friday Prayer November 22, 2019 My Lord and my God, by the rays of the sun in the horizon as day breaks, I see this day as full hope. As I enjoy Your gift of the here and now, may its every moment lead my heart to sing with joy, praise and thanks to You for Your greater glory. May today be a remarkable day not only for me but for all those I care for and pray for. Let it be a day of communion with You in worship and prayer. Indeed, Your Spirit reminds to put You above all else. There are false gods around that lead to decadence and destruction of the soul. Deliver me from them, in Jesus. Amen.
My Saturday Prayer November 23, 2019 My Lord and my God, I implore Your undivided providence still even as I hope that today and tomorrow bring rest to my body. May my fickle mind and diseased heart be able to rest as well from thoughts and desires that do not glorify You as my God and God of all. Enable me to be uncomplaining of the unknown and trust You completely. Let me not be blinded by my resentment of the proud, the conceit, the bragging and the uncaring. By Your Spirit spare me from their vexations, and lead me instead to stand my ground against their onslaught. Enemies they may be and poisonous to my soul, bring me to Your altar, and in silence and resignation, kneel for them. Difficult to truly love those who do not love me, but what merit is there if I only love those who love me. By Your grace, in Jesus, let me be a victor for You, now and forever. Amen!
My Sunday Prayer November 24, 2019 Almighty Father, my Lord and my God, as I believe in Your Lordship, accept my praise in the song of my heart and soul. Today is holy as all the days of my life are. Lead me to kneel as I kneel now to worship You in Jesus in fellowship with the Holy Spirit. May I ask dear Lord for a day of quiet and reflection in complete communion with You. Listen to my pleas for the forgiveness of my sins and peace within me and with those around me. Control me with the discipline of Jesus that I may overcome the spirit of agitation and vindication. Anger has no place in me as I am made the temple of Your Holy Spirit. Subdue to Your will what I cannot temper and overcome on my own. Again, I claim Your victory in me in Jesus. Amen. My Monday Prayer November 25, 2019 Blessed be my Lord, my God, for You gave me the little rest I needed and now bring me to a new week to enjoy this life with my loved ones and especially with You. I struggle at times stay with You but You pull me back to Your care if I go astray. With Your enduring mercy comes Your everlasting grace that I am forgiven and be in right standing with You. Let me not show my ingratitude to You by any offense, big or small, in thought, word or deed. Rather by Your inspiration
through Your Spirit, prompt me to always thank You and be in a constant state of praise and worship. Dear Jesus make me a channel of the goodness and generosity of the Father that I may lead others to know You more. Amen. My Tuesday Prayer November 26, 2019 My Lord and my God, I adore You and thank You for this day. May Your people give You glory in the radiance of Your majesty as King of all kings. Let me be truly sorry for my sins of yesterday assured of Your mercy and grace today. Thank You for the gift of Jesus, my Rock, my Master and Teacher. May You make me worthy to draw from Him the virtues of obedience, humility and faithfulness. I realize that I cannot be as Holy as Him. But do anoint me to follow Him for the rest of my life. Amen. My Wednesday Prayer November 27, 2019 God, Almighty Father, in Jesus, You remain my Lord and the Lord of all. With bent knees and head bowed, hear the Alleluias from my heart songs of praise and thankfulness. As I worship You in Spirit and in Truth, make me worthy to remain under Your fold and Lordship since I have become to accept that without You I am nothing. I solely rely on You today to be help and service to others in a manner that they will see and feel in me of how caring and merciful you have been to all of us. May
a simple gesture of kindness, goodness and gentleness from me start everyone's deepening of their faith in You and their transformation to have a personal relationship with Jesus as Lord and Saviour. Make me win souls for Your glory, my Lord and my God. Amen. My Thursday Prayer November 28, 2019 My Lord and my God, I welcome this day in praise and thanksgiving to You straight from my heart. There was something amiss in me yesterday in what I see as letting patience, gentleness and broadmindedness escape from my grasp. Pardon that fall, dear Lord, and let me regain Your grace and glory in this, another day. Rather than curse and cuss, let me speak words of praise to You, and look at the Sacred Heart more, than entertaining idle thoughts and crack jokes that do not edify. Enable me to recapture the spirit of tolerance that I may accept my neighbors as they are without ceasing to pray for them. Another day of travel awaits me so I need to draw strength from You in body, mind, heart and soul. I claim protection for all as I claim to be unjudging of my fellowmen, in Jesus! Amen.
My Friday Prayer November 29, 2019 My Lord and my God, thank you for this day of the Sacred Heart even as I seek You more in a moment of worship. I marvel that despite the presumptuousness of Your apostles and Your disciples who persecuted You, You have forgiven and kept them still as Your own. Without despising them, You rebuked and disciplined them. So I see hope in me as I must cling to hope in this life, the tests, trials and tribulations aside. I must truly see Your chastisement as Your sacred way to reform my weak nature, even recreate me according to Your image and likeness. Praise be unto You for being a true Father to me. In Jesus. Amen. My Saturday Prayer November 30, 2019 Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia! Praise You my Lord and my God for a new day. Bless and protect me as always with the blood of the Lamb and Your hosts of angels. I ask that the same blessing and protection be upon those I care and pray for. Lead us all to a day of introspection as the month ends ushering in the month of the birth of Your Son, our Redeemer and Messiah. Let us find time to read a Psalm or a Bible verse and reflect its significance in our faith walk. Guide and enlighten us to the way of peace not only today but in the days to come - Peace that surpasses all understanding, for all of us, our country and the rest of the world. Again, that peace should start with me, in Jesus. Peace be with you! Amen.
My Sunday Prayer December 1, 2019 Glory to You, the Lord of history and the God of all eternity, for the gift of another day, the gift of life and the gift of faith. I find in You the joy that my heart yearns for, given that everyday is incomplete without You. You continue to breath life to me and allow me to draw the strength and healing that I need in body, mind and spirit. As I am assured of Your peace, let me ask You to grant the calmness of my heart and soul as I await to celebrate with family and friends the birth of your Son, Christ Jesus. May every resolution I will think of this Season be fortified by Your enlightenment and grace that I may embrace all that will glorify You. May I be of genuine help to the hopelessness and helplessness of others. In the service of the cause of the Holy Cross, may I love in action those that are unlovable. In Jesus. Amen.
My Monday Prayer December 2, 2019 (Week of December 2-8, 2019) Praise be unto You my Lord and my God. May Your Holy Name be blessed forever and ever. I missed my Sunday worship of You my Lord because I was in between trips in a foreign land. For this, forgive me and have mercy on me. You are honoring my daily prayer of the Prayer of Yabez to \"enlarge my territory\" bringing me to meet, fellowship and break bread with a number of new friends in another country. In time, may I be good witness for You as I share with them the good news. May I have the courage through Your Holy Spirit to proclaim the Gospel of Christ. May I have the empowerment I need to make them know and learn of You, dear Jesus, that they, too, may partake of your plan of salvation. Make of them believers and even servants and soldiers of Christ. May they see in my words better still, my actions, that for me to live is Christ. This to Your greater glory, my Lord, my God. Amen.
My Tuesday Prayer December 2, 2019 Praiseworthy You always are, dear Lord and my God. Let me kneel with outstretched hands and ask forgiveness for my sinfulness. I implore Your merciful heart to bring me to total and perfect contrition. Enable me to do penance beyond the ordinary prayers, a repentance sourced from the deaths of my very soul. As I pray for You to calm nature and all its elements, including the typhoon passing through our land, may You calm as well the passion and whims of my fallen self. Just like Peter let me walk over the water but focused on and believing in You. I am a man of little faith so strengthen my faith in Jesus! Amen. Wednesday Prayer December 4, 2019 My dear Lord and God, I greet this day with a contended and thankful heart. You remain my all and everything since without You I am truly nothing. As I atone for my sins imploring Your mercy, grant me the grace to be just, fair and true. If I fall, lift me up as You always do. Let me not succumb to temptations around and instead bring me to my knees and shut my room to pray and intercede. If I still ignore You and Your leading, rebuke me with the discipline You gave Paul so that Your grace suffices for the pain and suffering I need to endure. Save me, O Jesus! Amen!
My Thursday Prayer December 5, 2019 Renewing my faith and trust in You, my Lord and my God, may You bless and have mercy on me today and the people I pray for and care for, family and friends alike. Blemished as I am before You, I am still in awe of You as You are my very life and strength. Lead me to knowing today what is there in me that I need to reshape as I have to be open to all avenues that can bring me near to Your Holiness. Imperfect as I am, You called me to perfection and to be compassionate as You are. By Your Holy Spirit and in the name of Jesus, let me welcome a life of discipline, hopefully worthy as I can be to belong to Your flock. Jesus, You are the good shepherd, let me follow You. Amen. My Friday Prayer December 6, 2019 My Lord, God of all, God of Love, God of Mercy and God of Joy and Peace, this week concludes with hope still in my heart to pray unceasingly. But let me dedicate today to intercede for those whom I have forgotten to pray for as well as those who do not have anyone to pray for them. May You look with mercy upon the very poor, the very sick and those in prison. I also pray for those who seek justice in this world. Help me make them realize that Your justice is the real one and that there is indeed no justice in this world but You taught us never to stop to give justice. And even as I struggle to be as just as You
are, I fail to be one and fall. Do lift me up if I lose that spirit and the truth. Hold my hand, Jesus. Amen! My Saturday Prayer December 7, 2019 I raise Your Name, my Lord and my God, above the earth and all Your creation. Praiseworthy You are forever and Holy is Your Name. May my heart and soul, ever thankful to Your commands, worship You as I continue to pray for the world, this nation, my family and friends with their loved ones. May I be forgiven by those I have offended and with Your Spirit, may I forgive those who have offended me. Lead me to hope than be in desperation as I ask You to bring me in the service of my fellowmen, especially the poor, the sick and the downthrodden. If You will, make me a channel of Your loving and caring nature. May I praise You for this, in Jesus' Name. Amen! My Sunday Prayer December 8, 2019 As I adore You today, my Lord and my God, in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, enable me to embrace the Gospel in Spirit and in Truth. Let me hear You and listen to what You have to say through Jesus. More importantly, encourage me to always live by the Gospel. In this season
of advent and the celebration and merriment it brings, let me not lose sight of the reason for the season who is no less than Christ Jesus. You have given Him to us and He is the best gift beyond compare. To me, the obedience of Mary and the obedience of Jesus combined brought us to the path of eternal life, joy and peace. Grant me that spirit of obedience and live by it until Your kingdom come here on earth as it is in heaven. Amen. My Monday Prayer December 9, 2019 My Lord and my God, I praise and thank You for this day, the beginning of another work week. Feeling indisposed, I draw strength from You to restore the health of my body, heart and soul. As I listen to my body and the rest it needs, feed my soul with Your Word, even a verse or two, that will surely uplift my spirit. Remind me not to force things in the way I want them to happen. Rather, do as You must as I pray for Your perfect will in all things and thank You under all circumstances. In Jesus. Amen. My Tuesday Prayer December 10, 2019 Almighty God, unknowing of what You will allow to come my way today, and my fixed schedule besides, I still invoke Your guidance, enlightenment and
direction in any and all that I have to say and do. I pray for clarity of mind, purity of spirit and a healthy body to live through this blessed day. May I rise over the temporariness of my earthly labors and be fully motivated by the unseen and uplifting challenges of my faith walk. I know You know that You alone are the One who provides the light to the path of compassion and holiness. May I then labor for Your greater glory, in Jesus. Amen. My Wednesday Prayer December 11, 2019 I extol You, dear Lord, my God, as I again receive life from You today. My heart always jumps with joy when daybreak comes with Your breath consuming my soul. May today be simply one of thanksgiving to You, with Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Let me pray without ceasing even in the silence of my heart and enable me to shout my unending thanks to Your Lordship amid the noise of this world. Remind me to slow down with the calmness of Jesus and see His face of meekness in the patience I hope for today and forever. Amen. My Thursday Prayer December 12, 2019 Be exalted, O Lord, my God, this day that unfolds with a promise of an intimate encounter with You every
moment. Provide the lead through Your Holy Spirit that I may never ignore Your call to once again cling to You and not lose the grip of my hold on You. In Jesus, let me do the best I could as I stay in the palm of Your hand. Amen! My Friday Prayer (Newport Beach, Thursday, December 13, 2019 December 12, 2019) My dear Lord, most Holy God, thank You for keeping me in another place and another time. You inspire me whenever and wherever as You are here, there and everywhere. No one can contain You in time and space. You remain the God I know who was, who is and who will be, a true one God for all eternity. You dwell in me in Spirit, always guiding, directing and enlightening. Help me divine You more with all the wisdom I need to know You deeply that You may increase in me. Keep me still ever mindful that You will never forsake nor abandon me. May I praise You now and forever, in Jesus. Amen.
My Monday Prayer December 16, 2019 (December 15, 2019, Newport Beach, CA) Dear Lord, God Almighty, I lift up Your name to the high heavens that all Your creation may give You praise today and forever more. May believers and non-believers alike see You in awe with Your scepter and crown of truth and justice. As I profess to believe, let me not be afraid of going through the eye of the needle, or entering the narrow door, or choosing the road less travelled. Make me faithful to Your bidding, in Jesus. Amen. My Tuesday Prayer December 17, 2019 (December 16, 2019, West Coast) My Lord and my God, I praise you for today amid a very cool yet sunny day. This begins a day of almost nothing to do that after late lunch and my mission done, I will have to look around the city where I am, more than the hills and ocean across. Thank you for enabling me of witnessing a day of Your majestic creation. I may get busy but I am assured that the Spirit will allow me to wear a smile and even pray during the day. Even if it is an Alleluia in my heart, that will be enough. Make me sufficient in Jesus! Amen.
My Wednesday Prayer December 18, 2019 (December 17, 2019, West Coast) Let me welcome today with joy in my heart. May my sullied soul be cleansed by Your mercy which I implore as the day begins. I know better now that my faults and mistakes of yesterday should not resurface anymore in my character. The suffering of the pain of Your discipline more than assures me of my gradual transformation. If sin befalls and weakness wins, let me not loosen my grasp of the eternal promise. My sins are forgiven, in Jesus. Amen. My Thursday Prayer December 19, 2019 (December 18, 2019, West Coast) My Lord and my God, if I can, I will give You praise, thanks, honor and glory, more than what You deserve as the King, Lord God, ever Almighty. Words will not and never be enough to extol, exalt, adore and worship You. By Your Spirit, let me be encouraged to do You justice in my heart, and let it be singlehearted for You. Righteousness is what you have, and by Your benevolence and providence, laid out for me. In Jesus, let me take and thread that path. Amen.
My Saturday Prayer December 21, 2019 My dear God, my Lord, I turn to You once more today for blessing and protection as I recognize You as my King and my life. I thank you for dwelling in me and making Your Word flesh, Your very son. Jesus, my Saviour and Lord, lead me and let me understand your Word, and You are the Way to enable me to live it in this journey. If I become the lost sheep, You will steer me back to your flock, and if I become the prodigal, You remain my only Way back to the Father. Let me love You then by living Your Word, without hesitation, without question. Let my faith blind me to follow You in all wisdom. Amen. My Sunday Prayer December 22, 2019 There is a hymn of thanksgiving in my heart, my Lord, God Most High. The day beyond newness, is a gift coupled with hope that I will again see Your wondrous works, Your Holiness. The day offers rest and let me take it amid another day of preparing for the celebration of Your Son's coming. There is no doubt in me that Jesus is Your greatest gift to me and the world as He is life Himself. Enable me as I welcome my Saviour and Redeemer, to be predisposed to receive Him completely. I am not offering a change of heart but a renewal of the faith and goodness that You have imbedded in my spirit. May I shine and glow in Jesus, the Messiah. Amen.
My Monday Prayer December 23, 2019 My ever living God, Lord Almighty, a day of light, a day of radiance, a day of brightness, is what You again gift me with. Take away my impaired vision that I may see Jesus in His dazzling robe with His welcoming and comforting arms. By Your anointing that I plead and implore, make me wise in Your sight that the depth, breadth and width of Your holiness and compassion may be mirrored in what I do more than what I say. Bless me with that immeasurable faith that I need to walk over the water to reach Jesus. Let me not sink! Amen! My Tuesday Prayer, the day before Christmas Day 2019 Dear Jesus, You are the Morning Star and the Prince of Peace. By Your birth, the prophecy of Your coming to save the world has been fulfilled. The divine plan of salvation has been lost in some of us. We have gone astray. But I ask You to free me from impatience and even unbelief in Your second coming. Let me hold on to the joy of Your birth, be consumed by it and be enabled to abide with an ounce of faith in Your glory now and forever. May Your name be praised, the name above every other name. Jesus, Jesus, Jesus! Amen!
My Thursday Prayer December 26, 2019 My Lord, my God, the night has taken over with me losing the chance for this prayer during the day. Forgive my lack of focus in the little apostolate I ventured into by Your inspiration through Your Holy Spirit. As they put it, better late than never though I acknowledge being consumed by the routine of work. As I start a night's rest, thank You for enabling me to fulfill the labors of the day. Be with me and my loved ones during the entirety of the night. May we all sleep soundly as You repair and make us whole in body, mind and heart, under the watchful care and protection of Your hosts of angels. I ask all these in Jesus. Amen! My Friday Prayer December 28, 2019 My Lord, my God, may the clear and blue skies greet us today as a new year awaits. Hasten a day of love in action despite the chaos facing our fellowmen in some parts of the world. Tyrants and dictators love themselves alone but Your believers love beyond self. Like Stephen, the first among martyred saints, give us the courage to face death empowered by Your law of love that calls for the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our faith in You. Give us the fortitude to repel even at least in sincere prayer the division, confusion and destruction caused by Your enemy. Yes, make us Your warriors even in prayer. In Jesus, Amen!
My Monday Prayer December 30, 2019 Lifting up Your Holy Name to high heavens, my Lord and my God, I praise You today as the sun rises. I am puzzled by the priorities of those around me as some are more preoccupied with the world and what it offers. They prefer to eat, drink and be merry where they find joy that is passing. Pardon my judging nature my dear God, enliven in me the spirit of tolerance, patience and forbearance. Let me control my frustration by reason of expectations. Encourage me to drive away in Jesus' name, my whims and be a man after Your own heart who dwells in Your unfathomable wisdom. Make me wise in Your sight than men's, in Jesus. Amen! My Year-End Prayer December 31, 2019 O God of all creation, Father of all nations, my Lord God Almighty, the end of the year signals the beginning of a new one, with every wish in You that what is new is one full of hope for the best of one and all. I believe in the firmness of the goodness and greatness of Your Lordship. May You bring to us not the man-made fury of nature but rather a world and life of peace, joy, prosperity and unity. May You bless us all with Your grace upon grace that our faith that lacks and slackens be fortified in the crucible of Your fire of love. Make our hearts gold, prayer - fully, a heart after Jesus, filled with the wisdom of the Holy Spirit. In You, we trust! Thank You. Amen!

Protect us from the eruption and we ask you to mitigate its power and its effects. Amen.
Morning Prayer January 26, 2020 “From that time on, Jesus began to preach and say, ‘Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ . . . He called them, and immediately they left their boat and their father and followed him. He went around all of Galilee, teaching . . . proclaiming . . . and [healing] . . .” As day breaks, I give you thanks and praise, dear Jesus, for the gift of a new day. Give me the grace to see in the moments of this day, in the persons I will meet the opportunities to help further build your kingdom in our world through acts, words, thoughts and prayers of kindness and love. Bless me too with the time to pray and to reflect today, and in the silence of my heart I may hear more clearly your call for me to follow you in healing our world. Amen. PRAYER FOR THE PEOPLE AND THE AREAS AFFECTED BY THE IMMINENT ERUPTION OF TAAL VOLCANO: Give your protection to all who are in the danger zone, God our Father, the evacuees and those who are with them to support and assist them. Give hope in the midst of this crisis. May we build a network of compassion to show your love and mercy for them and for us all. Protect us from the eruption and we ask you to mitigate its power and its effects. Amen.
Morning Prayer January 29, 2020 Mark 4: 1-20 – “. . . those sown on rich soil are the ones who hear the word and accept it and bear fruit thirty and sixty and a hundredfold.” Let my prayer of thanks be the first fruit of this day. Thank you, Lord, for a new day and this new opportunity to bear fruit; fruit that will benefit others in making their heart and soul rich soil to hear and accept your word. May I overcome useless anxieties, be detached from material things and worldly matters, and be free to open my heart and soul to be a channel of your grace. Make this day fruitful for me and for your greater glory. Amen. PRAYER FOR THE PEOPLE AND THE AREAS AFFECTED BY THE ERUPTION OF TAAL VOLCANO: We thank you, Lord, for hearing our prayer. We continue to pray that the alert level may be further lowered, and for your protection to all who are still in the remaining danger zone. We ask that as some of the evacuees return home, please strengthen their faith and hope in your providence and love. May we, as a people and as a nation, continue to build a network of compassion to show your love and mercy for those who will rebuild their lives and communities. Amen.
