NINAD TIPNIS JTCPL DESIGNS AN EXPERIENTIAL DESIGN, NUDGING COLLABORATION & WELLNESS FOAID 2020
Project Name : Fractal Analytics Our association with Fractal Analytics was the result of a chance conversation one Location : Mumbai Project Area : 110,000 sqft evening. We immediately knew this was not an ordinary project when the clients came to our studio and gave a presentation to orient us about their company and the values that were dear to them. This was definitely a first and it didn’t take us long to realise why Fractal is being considered a major disruptor in the HR space and the industry at large. Initiation of the Project : Dec 2018 The challenge for us was to demonstrate how these values could be translated to the Completion of the Project : March 2019 workplace so that the team members were able to touch and feel them on a daily basis. Design Team: Ninad Tipnis, Vipul Tapke, When we bagged the account after a tightly fought contest, we were filled with a sense of achievement and gratitude at the same time. We also realised that this was just the Siddharth Sukhathankar beginning and the journey was not going to be a cake walk. It was nothing short of a roller Rajendra Patil, Janhavi Nargolkar coaster ride with milestones whizzing past at break neck speed. We are happy to share that the project has secured “LEED Gold” Certification from United States Green Building Council (USGBC) under its LEED CI v4 Program. Client Name : Fractal Analytics The execution was not without its ups and downs but in conclusion, we are happy to Photo Credit : PHX India Photography share that the project shaped up exactly as we had envisioned it. Throughout the process, we worked as a team with Fractal and their wholehearted support and constructive criticism helped to keep things on track. The end product makes us proud and we hope that we have been successful in making a positive difference to the work life of over one and half thousand Fractalites and that they now have one more reason to get up and hit their workplace every day. 202

The tough and hard exteriors is a reflection of topography & planned along slopes of hill to hide away – letting the natural beauty over take, and the soft interiors allows one to soak in the local art and craft and the beauty that the city of Udaipur stands for. The resort is designed for a range of experiences, like reception, F&B, Spa, sports, cinema, celebrations, Banquet, Amphitheatre and a range of room experiences which spans over villas and tents. The Spa block seen here is designed as a transient space between the inside & the outside… using the surrounding natural beauty as the focal visual element in the interior space. The sharp contrast in the robustness of the architecture & softness of the interiors helps to enhance the spatial experience & stimulate all the senses adding to the spa experience. A spa is a space meant to stimulate all the senses & connect oneself with their core being. The spa block at the Taj Aravalli intends to do just that through its architecture & interior design. The simplistic lines of the interior space is intended to not take away the focus from the client where he/she is the main focus - the idea to connect them with the surroundings naturally.

A framed sketch of a Baoli in the TV room adds the ancient Indian strokes in the minimal volume. The ‘Red Turban Man’ in the guest lounge, painted by a client’s mother, encompasses the opulence of palace streets complimented by the blue sapphire soft furniture. Pichwai in the dining room is a handcrafted marvel of an artist in Jaipur customised according to the ethos of interiors. A bespoke brass wall table attached to a classy mirror-panelled wall gives a grand entry by not only augmenting the volumetric experience but also by multiplying it. 242
