Project Name : Residence at Panchsheel The apartment located in a leafy neighborhood came with a design brief of utilizing Location : New Delhi the assorted Indian and Italian stones that had been a surplus from his current Site Area : 4015 sft. home. Functional, practical and glamorous, it had to juxtapose the material palate Project Area : 3855 sft. to create society‟s changing ways of living and working. Initiation of the Project : May 2019 Completion of the Project : Nov 2019 Dhangadhra, an Indian stone lying unutilized for years was our obvious choice for Client Name : Mr. Manish Uppal its raw texture and colour to handcraft a wall in the family lounge. The entrance Design Team : Amrita Guha, Chhavi Girdhar, Poonam door merged with the same detail, creating a backdrop of subtle yet powerful context. A hanging wall created, visually to demarcate an entrance lobby in the Bishnoi, Zia-Ul-Haq, Muhammad Usman same space boasted of a Banswara stone which had been shot blasted to bring Photo Credit : Nivedita Gupta forth the true essence of its grains. Aligned to the wall is the sofa, the rear was cladded with hand beaten and antiqued brass sheet. A shoe rack was concealed using a clever play of hinges, which otherwise disguised itself as an extension table to the sofa. The handcrafted brass and glass latticed screen cordoned off the formal living area from the family lounge. The formal area used Araish walls embellished with wooden moldings finished in a combination of distressed polish and champagne leaf. The champagne leaf also finishes the ceiling complimenting the walls. The handcrafted Marquetry sideboard steals the show along with the Bar unit embellished in tiger eye and bronze. The Powder Room and the sink was fashioned out of white marble with a jute wallpaper and asymmetrical mirror frames. The paneling conceals several doors which open towards the family lounge, creating a seamless narrative. The Master study with a collection of rare maps leads to a Bedroom space with slatted wood detail on the bed back. The project visually mergers the line between a contemporary storyline and traditional technique, material and our unique legacy of handcrafting.

Project Name : Malpani House The young, upwardly mobile and modern clients wanted a contemporary minimal look for Location : Pune the interiors. The materials used had to be cost effective and easy to maintain. A bold and Site Area : 2000 SQ.FT. effective color theme with strong characteristics to each area was desired. Project Area : 2000 SQ.FT. Initiation of the Project : Aug 2018 This apartment is located on the 9th floor of a building overlooking dense greenery all Completion of the Project : Jan 2019 around. Hence it has been provided with huge windows and openings in all areas by the Design Team : Sonia Bhat developer. Unlike most apartments, the living- dining space is open on both its long sides. Client Name : Seema & Nitin Malpani These openings take up a majority of the vertical surfaces, leaving less wall space to be Photo Credit : Hemant Patil dealt with. Each space in the residence has been dealt with individually, as per the requirement and personality of the occupier, while simultaneously keeping the design language similar in all areas. It was decided to make the most of the minimal vertical spaces available and create focal points to attract the vision of the users and the visitors. To achieve this, the ceiling of the entire house is painted matte-black, with an intention to create a feeling of infiniteness and restricting the focus on the chosen wall surfaces. The wall surfaces are sandwiched between the black ceiling and the continuous grey cement tile flooring that creates a neutral background for the colors and textures used, attracting the vision towards them. The drapes for the large openings on all sides in all the rooms are white or grey with an idea to complement the dark ceiling and respective colored vertical surfaces adding a soft texture and forming a fluid backdrop generated by the curtains. The accent color palette is dark pastel blue for the Living room, warm red for the Daughter’s room, a deep blue for the Son’s room and black, white and grey for Master bedroom. 56

Project Name : Satish Sarees Located in the hustling & bustling marketplace of Nagpur, Satish Sarees by SPA is a marvel to Location : Nagpur behold. Since the plot was on a corner of a very narrow street, it was quite a challenge for team Site Area : 720 sq.ft. SPA to execute the design of the new store. Talking about the design scheme, the showroom Project Area : 2880 sq.ft. has a mix of modern and traditional designs. The structure designed is a PEB structure - pre- Initiation of the Project : Nov 2018 engineered building due to a lack of working space and time constraints. Different floors have a Completion of the Project : April 2019 different color scheme and ceilings. A recurring theme followed in the construction of the store Client Name : Satish & Piyush Khemchandani was that it was segregated according to the pricing of the sarees. So, as we move up, the pricing Design Team : Anurag, Pallavi, Juhi, Deepa, of the sarees also increases. As you enter the showroom, the ground floor doesn’t have a lot of counters. There is an area to the side which has a simple yet beautiful counter on which people Priyanka can shop and browse through the sarees stitched for everyday use. Lamp lighting was used at Photo Credit : Ashish Bhonde the entrance to make it look more attractive along with chandeliers and give a sense of direction and importance to the branding logo inside. The reception/billing area was kept free to have more legroom during peak hours. The first floor has magenta color, the second floor has a neutral palette and the top floor has a combination of gold and black used. The walls were adorned with floral wallpapers to instill a soothing atmosphere in the showroom. Dark, rustic floors were installed, along with lightweight stools clad in a fabric similar to that of a saree’s pallu. For storage purposes, metal and glass were used on the wall. Metal brackets also made up a large chunk of the storage space. Minimal natural light was allowed & all the counters were well-lit and in some areas, the lighting was diffused. A combination of yellow light, white light, and natural light was used. The top floor is the crowning achievement for this showroom since it is meant for an exclusive clientele which was a lounge area meant for a private viewing, with a separate storage room for exclusive collection on the side. Project Name : Stonex Stonex’s administrative and industrial complex has been conceptualized to serve as an Location : Kishangarh eminent landmark in Kishangarh. The Stonex factory is developed as a native production- Site Area : 10 acres house, geared for excellence and innovation of the global order, while successfully carving Project Area : 20,000 sq.m out a niche of its own amidst the industrial landscape. Drawing inspiration and making Initiation of the Project : Aug 2017 reference to the regional Sonpura temple, the building crafts a sense of belongingness by Completion of the Project : Feb 2019 using local rubble as a muse for its identity. Keeping the worker who inhabits the typical stone Client Name : Stonex India Pvt. Ltd processing factory of a similar scale and nature, under harsh working conditions, the design Design Team : Dinesh Panwar, Ajay Bhardwaj, of the complex is to enable a better work environment. Prasanjeet, Anuj, Gunjan Production: The Industrial Shed Photo Credit : Noughts and Crosses LLP and The finished product of the factory demands uniform lighting throughout the day, with no exposure to direct sunlight. Hence, the orientation is strategically exploited by incorporating Suryan & Dang complementary systems: North light trusses are introduced to penetrate the complete volume, sloping at a suitable angle towards the south, providing for ample surface for photovoltaic panels and the resulting solar roof of almost 1MW. Prefabricated white metal flutters give the entire structure a buoyant profile. The stone buttresses make the building appear grounded at a more proximal viewing. Representation: The Office The built form is raised and sunk into the ground away from the existing row of trees on site, as a result being derived as linear in form. The built mass and the ground is punctured to create sunken courtyards and an amphitheater within the earth-cooled lower floor. Being partly underground, the eccentric mass defines a seamless silhouette adorned by screens in stone and greenery climbing up the roof in a sweep. The facade is created with a double-glazed structural glazing system along with insulated aluminum panels, and the repetitiveness of the grid makes the entire facade appear dynamic.
