Project Name The project takes its inspiration from one of the article published by Mark Wigley called ‘Atmospheres of Architecture’. Project Name Very rarely but as an eventual certainty, an architect comes across this project which is of most paradoxical in nature. A project which seemingly is the easiest and the most difficult one too. When Architects Come Home And when it is of an architect couple, the stakes rise before the first move itself. Location Amidst the hustle bustle of Mumbai, architects Chandini and Rahul went about setting up their first home. Within this 1200 sqft apartment, they were desirous of creating a space that reflects Mumbai their personalities. Fans of the Great Gatsby and having marvelled at the reminiscent of Art Deco style that the city of Mumbai had largely witnessed in the early 20th century, they were keen on adopting an interpretation of the Art Deco style within a contemporary palette, owing to the spatial challenges that comes alongwith an urban apartment. Geometric patterns, bold colours, soft lighting, adorned with \"Work Nocturne\" inspired artwork and plants; all come together in cozy melange that defines space, personalities and love. 607

Project Name The Blue house is a 1500 sq. ft. house with 3 master bedrooms, living, dining, den areas and a mandir. The layout has around 90% RCC walls which also meant that there was barely any The Blue House chance of resizing the bedrooms/Living etc. The flipside was the living room was longer than it was wider , like a train bogie . Location The big question then was how to “compartmentalise the functions without creating barriers Mumbai and yet have them aesthetically separated so that each space has its own identity”. The solution lay in some clever manoeuvring within given constraints andclient requirements and that involved dividing spaces with choice of colour blue. Physical partitions wasn’t something we envisioned to go with so we usedcolours to do the same visually. The transition from blue to nude colour is made possible by copper as a material to fill in the groove, this formed a circuit, and the same worked best to differentiate between the wood and the POP and same for the flooring. 611
